- At First Minister's Questions this week Humza Yousaf was scolded TWICE by the Presiding Officer for answering a question that was not a devolved matter.
SNP MSP Clare Haughey asked a question about the state pension and Westminster, which the Presiding Officer immediately shut down Humza Yousaf's answer.
After the next question , which came from Labour's Martin Whitfield, Mr Yousaf went to answer but instead started to answer the previous question by Ms Haughey.
This again was interrupted by the Presiding Officer who had to remind the First Minister and The Chamber about devolved matters.

What you mean is "unemployed and claiming benefits" not "unemployed" because those people are not counted. Also, it's only those who are on contribution based benefits who are counted because those are the people the numbers-crunchers expect to return to work when given the opportunity. Those on disability (there's a huge number of people between 20 and 45 in Glasgow who "cannot work" because of fantasy depression and sore backs) and aren't counted, nor those (like Yousless) who claim they cannot work because of religious restrictions.

My wife's pal worked in a benefits office last year and had to leave because of the stress of having to deal with the amount of spongers signing on and their utter nonsense.

The first time I have seen her pull anyone up for asking a question not of a devolved nature. Maybe the P.O. can see the end coming and doesn't want to be tarred with the same brush as the rest of her SNP cronies. As for Yousless, he should have deferred to the P.O. that the question was not pertaining to devolved issues. Finally, as this is a scripted session, why was the question not thrown out in the first place.

As a born Scot, I knew in 2013 that I would have to wait longer for my pension I received mine at the age of 66 yrs my sisters all knew too! The tragedy is everyone thinks they can not work to live and benefits will provide. We as a society should stop moaning and blaming everyone else for our problems.

The victims are all the men who worked themselves into an early grave to support and raise their families. None of my five uncles lived to see retirement. After years of hard graft they died still pennyless, because they cared for their wives and children. When I see these victim playing women who got away with early retirement at just 60 years of age it just makes me sad.

Couldn't agree more, all my uncles my father, father in law, my wife's uncles all died just before retiring or just after. Look at cenotaphs almost 99.9% men, and yet we're accused of not supporting women.
