- Nicola Sturgeon used a personal mobile phone to conduct her business as First Minister, rather than the more secure and better encrypted the UK Covid Inquiry revealed.
Ms Sturgeon was asked by Jamie Dawson KC about several mobiles and sim cards that she bought during covid that her expenses had revealed.
The news sparked yet more fears over SNP transparency and security at the heart of the Scottish government, and worries that Ms Sturgeon may have been using a 'burner' phone.

@@ElectricPics If the government or a intelligence agency think you maybe a threat to national security, they get the warrant authorised directly by the Home Secretary. So if they do have the necessary missing records it’s unlikely a inquiry would be able to get a covert agency to give them up, unless she was being prosecuted for treason. I wouldn’t be surprised though if she was a person of interest and that they did have those communications.
Of course they have recordings of her,the problem here is they CANT ever say they have,if they did that would prove they record our calls,which is of course illegal,catch 22.
