- Humza Yousaf was forced to apologise for accusing Douglas Ross of lying during First Minister's Questions.
Presiding Officer, Alison Johnstone, paused proceedings to call on Mr Yousaf to apologise" after he accused the Scots Tory leader of telling "lies about the police service".
The comments came after Ross had said the FM's responses about police cuts, officers numbers and station closures were "sly, sleekit and secretive".
Mr Yousaf was asked to apologise however it took three attempts before he finally conceded and in the end, was forced to apologise not only to the chamber but also to the Presiding Officer herself.

I doubt it that was one of the qualifications for the job as first minister and the presiding officer is she not a green/SNP person so she will just let this roll off her back as she has done in the past with the outrageous behaviour of the SNP/Greens,

In Scotland for the first 7 years they get more money but for years 7-10 they get way less.
After that the difference is about £3-400 per year. Bear in mind the average term a police officer stays in the job is 12.8 years (average for all UK)
