Thanks for uploading these! What a great trip down memory lane. I remember so many of these games because I used to record them on VHS when I was a kid and watch them over and over. Good Times.
A close friend of mine recorded pretty much every game for around 20 years. my brother made them into this highlight video for me. unfortunately all of the original tapes were lost in a flood in 2016, so these videos are all that remain
Man, I got chills watching the Thanksgiving day Cowboys game ending. That was my 2nd all-time favorite Marino era win. #1 was destroying the then-undefeated '85 Bears in week 13 on MNF, handing that team their only loss of the season and preventing them from claiming their own undefeated season. The good ol' days...
There's some 1992 highlights in there. But thanks for sharing. Ingram is my all-time favourite WR and I'd never been able to see his longest TD ever until now.
Yep....that Sunday night Jets game at home where Stoyo missed the XP to tie but hit the game winner in the end was 1992. I love the video...sure does bring back memories.
That 94 home opener and Dan returning from the injury is probably my standout game just because once Dan hit ingraham in stride with a dagger downfield I knew he was back and still had that golden arm and most importantly still determined to WIN!!BUT lookin back at this gm now man none of those TD passes were cheap,he was slingin the ball down field, only fitting fins won the game with Marino goin all or nothin!!Magical time growing up a fin fan and even though I grew up in CT the DOLPHINS were really popular in the 80's and 90's and I got to watch probably around 10 gms a yr cuz they were always a playoff contender!!
How many great games were so close that Miami was a part of.....This is why we need to win any games that are close to have a shot to go 9-6 and possibly get into the playoffs in 2020. Even more so since the NFL is adding an extra team into the wild card games too!!
Yes I agree, very underrated MARINO driven offense,u always hear about the MARKS BROS but that early to mid 90's OFFENSE was pretty damn good too, just maybe not as explosive and not as consistent, but damn,FRYAR,INGRHAM,McDUFFIE and KEITH JACKSON and KEITH BYARS BUT....the problem was they couldnt run effectively,if at all!?I actually did like BERNIE PARMALEE though,I think they gave up very easy on the run game during gms,cuz the D just couldnt stop teams from scoring so it was like the same thing every gm,thats why I say if SHULA had brought in a new DC cuz Olividotti was awful and heres the kicker it was like universally known that he sucked and was ruining Shulas and Marinos chances of gettin back to the SB!!
Hey why are we comin down on STOYANOVICH??He was one of the best kickers in the league for awhile, only with him I think his leg may have faded kinda quick, cuz I dont remember much after he left Miami, but imo him and maybe MARE were thier best kickers of all time!
Scott Mitchell got injured also a 93 they were never going to start Mitchell over Marino, especially after the first game, we had Steve deberg was like 44, Marina was 5 + 1 then they ended up 9 and 7 on the season, but I did win money on the Dallas game thank you Leon Lett
Yeah, I remember it well. Funny thing was, Mitchel played well, but only won maybe 3 or 4 games that season for them. I remember them bouncing back and forth between mitchel and deberg , in hopes of salvaging the playoff spot. Which sadly did not happen.
No there were rumors like always, but everyone knew Marino would be starting nxt season, but what a lot of people didn't know for SURE,was if he would be the same passer he was??and I still remember that home opener against NE and when he hit FRYAR with that bullet over the top of the D,Just a few inches from being batted down,I was like YEA hes BACK!!now lets just hope the legs make it thru!?!?but imo they were only gonna trade Marino if he wasn't that passer anymore but he was still,at least THAT particular yr,one of the top 3 or 4 passers in the league!!
It still kills me that the '93 team beat both the Bills and Cowboys, and didn't even make the playoffs because of a ludicrous rash of injuries. It wasn't even Marino, it was Mitchell also getting hurt as well as seemingly almost the entire starting D. Throw in the 3 straight games against playoff teams they'd have had a hard time beating even with a healthy Marino and D, and that's how you go from 9-2 to out of the postseason altogether.
Robert Fisk some new big contributors like Keith Byars, OJ, Marco Coleman, Bryan Cox was a year in, Keith Jackson was playing good football, Terry Kirby was good catching out of the backfield (not a good runner) , Irving Fryar and the 1992 team was in the ACF champ so a super bowl run in 93 wasn’t out of the question.
My greatest thanksgiving of all time. As a diehard Miami fan, watching this game with my cousins spoiled, privileged, wagon jumping, Cowboy fan of an ex boyfriend was extremely satisfying and savory... On the more unfortunate side, this team was a solid compilation of offensive players for Marino to go to the Super Bowl again. That bizarre , freak Achilles injury truly ruined our season that year.
I forgot to mention when I heard Chris Collinsworth Voice ,one night at the holiday inn in Titusville l partied with Dan Marino, Boomer, Chris and Jim Kelly.tearing it up on the Dancefloor really good times. And I had just happened to walk in that bar. I think there was a Space shuttle taking off or something I can’t remember. Go Dolphins!!
Not to mention that the Dolphins beat the last two of the last Super Bowl Champions back in '93, the Redskins in 1991 and the Cowboys in 1992 who they beat in the snow on Thanksgiving Day who would go in to win it all again that year. Remember the Dolphins were 9-2 and after their win over Dallas on Thanksgiving the Dolphins would never win another game the rest of the year as they would finish the season with a five-game losing streak finishing with a 9-7 record, had Marino hadn't gotten injured, the Dolphins would have went to the Super Bowl in '93.
Ya know that was a nice little group of wide outs for marino tony martin, irving fryar,oj mcduffie and mark ingraham, with FB byars and TE keith jackson!!nice group!!not much in the running game however!!😂😂😂
DAMN,part of my teenage yrs, loved Louis Oliver a very underrated safety, Shulas BIGGEST mistake was not getting rid of OLIVIDOTTI,cuz he had some damn good pieces in those yrs,BRYAN COX,TROY VINCENT,OLIVER and to some extent JOHN OFFERDAHL,just not sure what yr he retired, but he was a damn good LINEBACKER and then in 94 they drafted BOWENS who imo may have been their best DT of all time, again underrated,I'm sure I'm missing a few,DARRYL GARDENER was decent but never hit his potential but had they gotten a better DC who knows just how much that could have changed things cuz the D collapsed EVERY yr until JJ built his D and very quickly and again very underrated job he did of building what would go onto become a championship caliber D from 98-03 ,a six yr run and a few of those yrs they were top 5 and I believe all of those yrs they were top 10,not positive but UNFORTUNATELY for marino he was about done by the time that D was hot and JJ unlike Shula was having a hard time putting the right guys around Dan,but all the way till 98 DAN MARINO had a legitimate shot, just didnt have the offensive fire piwer or a great scheme!!Its a shame and even tho I'm a big fan of DON SHULAS ,if he stepped down about 5 yrs sooner we probably would be calling Marino a SB winner today, imo!!
DolFan316 Who would of thought that all that time later he arguably had one of the BIGGEST CHOKE plays on one of the Biggest stages in NFL history.Tho only one I felt bad for in that game was Lynch
The Marino to ingram touchdown against jets with time running down was classic, the jets d. Expected Marino to spike the ball , instead he fires to Ingram..
Those early 90's dolphins teams were underrated if only the D was a little better it always folded the 2nd half of the season and their best season would probably have been this 93 team but once marino went down, there went their season, too bad i still shed a tear every once and awhile!!
It felt like Miami just won the Superbowl. Beating the then Superbowl champions. And having the best record in the NFL. Then the biggest collapse in NFL history. Losing 5 games in a row and missing the playoffs.
4:45 Team scores to take the lead with 7 seconds left in the 4th quarter: NFL back then: "Dolphins win it!" NFL now: "There's 7 seconds left, it's way too early to declare a winner!"
I love my Phins but sometimes our fans and reporters are meatheads. I'll never forget or forgive those meatheads that thought we should continue with Mitchell over Marino.
Those were the days. I remember everyone of those game.
Me too
Me too. I think Reggie Roby was the best punter I've ever seen.
Man I miss watching Marino play...the greatest
My Uncle Dan was THE MAN!
Big love to Uncle Dan13!
He was that my friend he was that 👍

Thanks a lot
Those were the days I grew up a dolphin. Living in Wilmington North Carolina now but still a dolphin fan

we won 10 games and didnt make it in... Could you imagine a Dolphin vs Buck$ superbowl?
Fryar loved playin in Miami.
what a great team that was , Mrino , Ingram, Fryar and jackson. wow.
Keith Byars, Terry Kirby, awesome team. Thanks to Pete Stayankovick

Loved the Keith Byars throw to Fryar. Just beautiful.
This is sick man. Good looks.
Scott Mitchell played so well that there was conversations of trading Dan Marino. i''ll never forget that and it was real.

Mitchell had a pretty great '95 season for the Lions, but that was it.
Ppl acting like MAHOMES invented the no look check Marino at 1 min
OJ killed that interview with Shula!
You, my friend ,are a smart asses, smart ass.
So surreal seeing OJ of all people interviewing Shula right after setting the coaching wins record...
Bad thing about that win over Dallas is that after that putting them up to 9-2 on the year, Miami sh!t their pants and didn't even make the playoffs.
It still kills me that the '93 team beat both the Bills and Cowboys, and didn't even make the playoffs because of a ludicrous rash of injuries. DolFan316 that team was loaded. With Marino I think they would have won the SB. Even with Mitchell I think they could have gone deep in the playoffs
Pains me to think what could have been with those Marino years
@@bobbybrown5196 That's funny. Marino wasn't getting to a Superbowl again. What was so different about the '93 team than the '92 team?
Robert Fisk some new big contributors like Keith Byars, OJ, Marco Coleman, Bryan Cox was a year in, Keith Jackson was playing good football, Terry Kirby was good catching out of the backfield (not a good runner) , Irving Fryar and the 1992 team was in the ACF champ so a super bowl run in 93 wasn’t out of the question.
The defense back were swiss cheese, I believe The patroits ended our season by a young Drrew Bledsoe in Overtime in Foxborough
My greatest thanksgiving of all time. As a diehard Miami fan, watching this game with my cousins spoiled, privileged, wagon jumping, Cowboy fan of an ex boyfriend was extremely satisfying and savory...

Wish NFL could've start this program of protecting QBs at the start of Marino's career, just imagine.....

The Redskins (can I still call them that) in 1993 were a shell from that '91 team though, going 4-12 that year.
Miami always seems to have a part in strange finishes
Mark Ingram fantasy numbers would've through the roof if they had fantasy sports back then
God i miss dan the man
He would throw the most devastating pass too.. the one that would end you...
Absolutely loved it when ESPN first started having Sunday night games.
Ya know that was a nice little group of wide outs for marino tony martin, irving fryar,oj mcduffie and mark ingraham, with FB byars and TE keith jackson!!nice group!!not much in the running game however!!😂😂😂
Fun Fact, the play where Marino was injured was a TD
Kinda surprised you didn't keep the tape running with OJ trying, and failing, to interview Stoyanovich in Dallas amidst that chaos. It's insane...
Scott Mitchell had such a great season at Miami, then got the Big 35 Million Contract in Detroit and was a total flop.
And when he was with the Ravens, we called him "Water Buffalo" and he wore 19, which is supposed be Unitas number only.

THAT WAS THE YEAR, HE WAS SB BOUND, LIKE 84, ALMOST 85,And 92,,But 93 was the year
those games are why we still scream for the Dolphins
#TUA!!!
32:03 Bravo Keith Jackson. He's got 4 defenders swarming him and still has the wherewithal to do that? Incredible!
I really wish Miami would go back to their classic helmets and uniforms
We should also wear these unis
Missed a golden opportunity to show Pete Carroll giving the choke sign after Stoyo's missed extra point at 4:08. Oh well.
DolFan316 Who would of thought that all that time later he arguably had one of the BIGGEST CHOKE plays on one of the Biggest stages in NFL history.Tho only one I felt bad for in that game was Lynch
Yes i alwaaaaayyyysss remembered that little moment, too!!!
That was the best part. Ive rooted against Pete Carrol ever since.
The Marino to ingram touchdown against jets with time running down was classic, the jets d. Expected Marino to spike the ball , instead he fires to Ingram..
36:50 I think was the most impressive throw that day. Marino was insanely good. He should have at least 3 rings. Shame
Was this the season the dolphins started 7-2 and lost like 7 straight games to finish 7-9 after the bye week?
9-2 and 9-7 😥
9-2, an and lost 5 straight, to finish 9-7. They finished with a winning record, not losing.
Tony Martin was making big plays. Marino said he dropped to many balls.
Those early 90's dolphins teams were underrated if only the D was a little better it always folded the 2nd half of the season and their best season would probably have been this 93 team but once marino went down, there went their season, too bad i still shed a tear every once and awhile!!

Any Fins highlights from 1990-94 is just fine with me 😊Especially since that time looks like the halcyon days compared to the last 15 years or so.
Wow, Buddy Ryan loses, runs off the field without showing any sportsmanship.
OJ interviewing shula then a few months later he murders his wife wtf.

It was always a big mistake to get rid of Tony Martin.

Like threading a needle. Nobody threw better than Marino.
93 was Marino year, he was on the same pace as 84, they had a ok D,ok running! I wish they keep Clayton also
TONY MARTIN!!!!!?????
