Pretty decent CB too. Him and Nate Clements were a pretty good duo. Lawyer Milloy and Troy Vincent made a great safety tandem

    Couple things stuck out:
    1) Eric Moulds was a monster
    2) Gus Johnson needs to call all Bills games
    3) Lee Evans and Terrance McGee had WHEELS
    4) Even though those 16 years were TERRIBLE, there were some dang good exciting games
Two highlights that are missing (unless I missed them) that need to be HIGH up on this list is Lee Evans against the Jets when we threw a hail mary and he went up against two Jets DB's and came down with it and walked into the end zone. And the second being the Drayton Florence pick 6 against the Pats to break the streak.

    • @RichV20
      @RichV20 2 года назад

With Bledsoe, a Pro Bowl QB who took a team to the Super Bowl, we still looked like a team that could make the playoffs and almost did. When Bledsoe fizzled out and we made JP Losman our franchise QB, that's when the word and concept of "drought" started materializing. It just got worse from there.

Here's some of my thoughts and comments:
57:04 It's ironic that J.P. Losman threw an 83 yard touchdown to #83 Lee Evans not once but twice in the same game!
At 58:12 you can see Kevin Everett among other players since his horrific injury didn't occur until the following year.
Kenny Albert called the first game that was shown in this video while his dad Marv Albert called the last game that was shown.
59:29 Mike Hollis had a career full of crazy field goals that hit the goal posts! In fact, one of those kinds of field goals came in a playoff game against the Bills in 1996 when he was a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Unfortunately, he didn't last longer than a year in Buffalo.
There weren't any highlights from the 2012 season, but honestly I don't remember any extra special plays from that year.
It looks like 2002, 2004 and 2014 were the best years of the drought while 2005, 2006 and 2012 were the worst years of the drought.
Here are some statistics related to the Bills playoff drought:
    RECORDS BY MONTH
    September: 26-31 .456 Win %
    October: 29-39 .426 Win %
    November: 25-40 .384 Win %
    December: 30-44 .405 Win %
    January: 2-6 .25 Win %
    OVERALL
Home: 67-69 (65-64 at New Era Field)
    Away: 45-91
    Total: 112-160
    272 GAMES
Overall, this is a great video to remind us Bills fans of the great memories we've had over the best couple decades!

Reed and Lofton were pretty good in their few years together, and both HOF'ers. What's amazing about Moulds, is his longevity (alot like Reed) and that Moulds played with Andre Reed (Reeds last few years), Peerless Price, and Lee Evans through-out his time in Buffalo.....and all were great tandems and productive. Moulds was a monster and played on some bad teams after '99, and still embraced Buffalo (which was rare for stars during that tough era). Us fans embraced him right back, I wish he was in the Hall of Fame. Lets go Bills!

funkydunkleman glad you somewhat enjoyed the video but I do these for fun. Basically an idea pops up in my head and I try to put it together with what little time i have as quickly as possible. I don't do this for money or to try to get popular. I think of stuff i would love to see and if there's some people out there that like it then that's awesome, we would probably be good friends

Back story for "why so serious" Cincinnati:
The Bengals had picked up Terrell Owens (after a crappy season with the bills) Owens would line up with Chad Johnson which gave The Bengals arguably one of the best receiving cores in the NFL. Chad and Terrell decided to call themselves the "Dynamic Duo" in where they would refer to each other as Batman and Robin...
A week prior to the game there was a ton of hype for Bengals to "crush us". Owens and Johnson weren't living up to the hype as that title but felt the need to talk trash to the media and fans. Stevie Johnson had taken Owens place as The Bills #1 WR an didn't have a solid #2 WR after the departure of Owens and thus made this a interesting Debut since Owens became a Bengal.
During the game The Bills D was making a joke out of Bengals which put the Pressure on the Duo who were getting frustrated. A confident Stevie Johnson didn't care much for the shade being cast in the week prior and at some point decided to refer to himself as "The Joker" from the "Dark Knight" with a clever uniform adjustment to fit the role before the game. To and Johnson were both going on about how important it was to beat his former team. An the headlines were out leading up to the game.
An so as the Bills were taking it out on the Bengals on this day. The opportunity soon presented itself for Stevie "The Joker" Johnson to express how he felt about the situation. An the rest is history TO and Chad were demoralized ! Poetic Justice...

Imagine if Sammy Watkins started his career under McDermott? Probably would still be a Bill and probably would already have Bills all time records. He would've had a good community and would've been held accountable so no drinking and fewer injuries.

It still blows my mind that Stevie put together three straight 1,000 yard seasons. I mean, he was good there’s no doubt exceptional route runner. But he was really slow and definitely not a #1 receiver. But he’s the only one in team history to do it. Just awesome.

#2 for me is 2006 at Houston. The 2 Evans 83 yd TDs and last second Losman to Price GW TD. I thought we had our franchise QB that day. I never had that much hope in a QB after that throughout the drought. I had a favorable view of Trent Edwards at the start, possible long term answer but never thought he'd be an elite QB. I loved Fitz and will always stick up for Tyrod, but never thought either were long term answers. With Losman's arm strength and deep ball accuracy, I always assumed he would clean up other areas of his game and be lethal. Even in mid 2007 when he came in for an injured Edwards, I had this dream he would win the job back and take us to the playoffs. It started out great when he hit Lee Evans on a deep ball to beat the Jets. Then came back and beat Cincy with an impressive performance. Then it went very bad, like most of his career.

Just check out the stadium shots during the DROUGHT....and tell me that Buffalo doesn't show up for the BILLS at all times. I've been there for better and worse, and there has been some real depressing moments walking back to the parking lot after games.... but I wouldn't trade a thing. The team is finally headed in the right direction and it will mean even more to us die hard fans when we finally win the Super Bowl after all we've been through. BILLS MAFIA STAND UP!

Wade Phillips isn't really a Drought Era coach. He made the playoffs 2 of his 3 seasons. When Wade and GM John Butler left that was the end of the 90s era Bills. GM Tom Donahoe and coach Gregg Williams was the official start of drought era, who were the first of many garbage GM's and coaches and who set the tone and low bar for drought era Bills.
