I'll never forget seeing a Paul Reed Smith Blue double cutaway hanging in a pawn shop for $125. I didn't know a thing about the guitar company at the time but it's beauty and iconic birds on the fretboard we're burned into my memory. I learned what it was later and realized I passed a diamond and didn't know it. I have an idea that it had some problem, maybe electrical that diminished its price so ridiculously low. For what that guitar was versus its price, almost any repair would have been worth it. I just simply didn't know what it was at the time. Otherwise, it would have been mine.
No amount of electrical problems could drop the value of well done woodwork. The things that would drop the value would be butchered body, warped or twisted neck, and that’s about it. You can rebuild the whole of the electronics for under a grand but the woodwork is the biggie. That’s where the time gets spent.
I was really hoping it would be purple after the teaser discussion with Paul and I’m ecstatic it was because that’s exactly how I would build mine and it’s a joy to see it in the flesh - absolutely amazing

Man, I'm just watching this and I'm feel so happy for you. I can feel that amazing moment in where you feel like a 10 year old child awaiting for his most desired toy. Not to mention how lucky you are for having Paul doing this for you, so many in the world would crave for some of those dream instruments. Someday, if God helps me, I will go visit Paul's factory and if I can I will give him a hug, and say thanks for all the beauty and art he puts on every piece they make. Btw I'm a proud owner of a 513 and a Custom 24, and I love them to death! Cheers!
That paint job is the pinnacle of what i could ever want on a guitar’s face. Breathtaking and romantic
It's so beautiful! He totally deserves this pretty beast. How bout calling it Jupiter cuz it's majestic? Plus purple was reserved for gods back in the day.
Danish Pete sneaking into Tyler’s house to play that purple prs.
That’s what I was thinking 😂
Congratulations Tyler! So we’ll deserved. Been watching your videos for years. Always fun and inspiring. 👍👍🎸🎸
From one guitar TO your name to a guitar with your name ON IT. Well done buddy.
Well done
Tyler: "I'm going to play the shit out of this."
Everyone else: "Vids or it didn't happen"
I’m not a huge PRS kind of guy, but MY GOD 😩😫 this is absolutely beautiful bro, congratulations!
Wow congratulations it’s almost like a father son relationship you have with Paul it’s nice to see a company owner who actually appreciates what someone has done for there company.
I'm personally not a huge fan of the purple pattern but holy shit this is the most beautiful guitar neck I've ever seen
That fretboard is supercool. Looks like the birds are flying across the horizon
That piece of striated moonlight ebony NEXT TO the piece you chose was the most beautiful piece of wood I’ve ever seen.
I’m sad I’ll never own that piece of wood on a guitar or even find a piece like that ever.
CONGRATULATIONS, Tyler. It is gorgeous, unique, and in very good hands.
There’s a large puddle of drool forming in my break room, can neither confirm nor deny that it was me
That demo solo was freaking sweet. That dirty ass note in the middle before the fast scale was tasteful AF
That is an absolutely GORGEOUS axe, Tyler! Love your wood and color choices, so unique and distinctive. Most importantly, it sounds great! Congrats!
Beautiful guitar, sound, and playing Tyler. I was blessed to have met Paul in around 1985 at West LA Music store. He had just started out and had put up a display of his guitars. They were incredible back then! And he was the nicest, coolest guy you ever want to meet with that kind of talent. I own a PRS Acoustic. Plays so easy. Waiting on a nice royalty check to be able to make a visit to the Private Stock room for my dream guitar! Great work Paul!
Happy for ya Tyler! You’ve really done a lot for the musicians community. So you really deserve it man... Such a sick guitar 🤙
Man, that is truly a work of art, even before hearing it. That fretboard can't be beat. Good job.
That guitar instrumental part is freaking amazing!
That finish is so gorgeous. It looks like it moves. Incredible
I’ve come full circle with you Tyler. From the first PRS new guitar day to this! Congrats! Gorgeous guitar. And oh my what a beautiful case!
The way the bird looks like it's flying is so sick. Congrats!!
His dream guitar is awfully close to like 5 of his others.
Hope he finally got satisfaction.
More like all his PRS guitars lmao. 🤣
I was confused tbh, for the most part this Private Stock looks a lot like a regular PRS. Most of the Private Stocks got wicked unique colours.
DelScully i guess that is his ideal colour?
Just a les paul...
That guitar is beautiful, I love how it turned out. That Les Paul body with the purple and charcoal finish is stunning.
I was looking at a PRS a couple of days ago, the old lady came in and said "Don't even think it!" Me, *clicks submit order* "You have my word, I didn't think at all."
Lol
Jeez that’s a beautiful piece in every sense. Props to PRS for being such a massive Chad and congrats Tyler.
This process looks so fun and beautiful I wish I can get to the point where I feel deserving of purchasing such a nice guitar in my life congratulations Tyler 🎉🎇
So wonderful that this is a personal gift from Paul to you - must feel just amazing!
Even the case looks magnificent. The guitar is way better than what I imagined holy shit
No kidding. It's a masterpiece.
congrats. it's a beauty. whatever piece you're playing at the 5:00 mark gave me chills. absolutely beautiful.
Anyone know the song ?
@@liamgoosen7263 it will be original
anyone know what that typa tone is called?
Bro it really does give me chills too sounded so fkn good I want him to do a lesson on what he played at 5:00 😂
how would you get a tone like that thoooo-
We’re witnessing history for this channel right now. This is crazy to me.
It’s history until he makes like 10 more videos like this with even more beautiful and expensive guitars lol
I am born and raised and still live in Maryland. Welcome to the "Bay Bridge" in the rain. It is scary when it's dry. Congratulations on the "PRS". Beautiful guitar.
Plot twist.. Tyler gets his dream guitar and totally looses interest in playing.. takes up rc airplanes as a new hobbie!
hahaha x)))
Lol… as I just literally just finished watching a RC AIRPLANE video before watching this…
Here from your live Instagram. Just couldn't wait, I had an alarm set for This
Everyone here:We will watch your dream guitar with great interest.
Hhmmm yes, and?
@@necrom4454 it's a well known meme
@@espionage6692 Really?... Wow, actually never heard it, I thought this guy had written something that is not original, and that isn't funny, and was just begging for likes
Me: **Makes a meme**
@@necrom4454 : And I took that personally.
@@Gabriel-oq4id 😅Nah, if I knew it was a meme never would I have commented this
Not gonna lie, I must live under a rock not to have seen this meme before
PRS.....after 50+ years of playing Gibson's & Fenders and just picking up my first PRS S2, it's now my new favorite........hands down.....
9:53 "now I got this one...WITH MY NAME!" Congrats Tyler, you deserve it. Thanks for all that you do for us.
As a Marylander, seeing you shoot a video while driving over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in a downpour gave me heart palpitations. That bridge is terrifying in the best of conditions. Also, it feels like it's a million miles long.
It's not that bad lol. I mean, it is widely considered the scariest bridge in the country but I don't mind it. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel is what freaks me out. Two lanes, two way traffic in an underwater tunnel.
@@EpiphoneShredzzzzz Imagine driving over that bridge having a fear of open water and heights. 😨
@@TheRedOctoberProject 😮😨
Tyler - "I'm ready to show you my guitar" also Tyler - "BOOM, Ads!"
Welcome to the world of monetization.
Daddy's got bills, baby
Paul Miles creates beautiful magic in the PS department!!!! Another awesome masterpiece!!
Damn he really did intimidate us in the live 🔥🔥🔥
What did he do?
Paul seems like such a cool guy. That guitar is unbelievable.
Tyler: This guitar is perfect. I don’t need any more. 😛
Also Tyler: **three months later** No, wait. THIS guitar is perfect. 😲
You must not own any or play guitar
@@JC-11111 - I’ve been playing guitar for about 25 years. I don’t see the point of collect guitars just to say you have them. I’ve sold a few guitars that I wasn’t using.
@@Burnt_Gerbil If you want to see REAL complete nonsense....go over to The Tone King. He buys a guitar a week, plays it on 2-3 videos, then it goes in it's case likely never to be played again. Makes ZERO sense unless you're collecting vintage instruments for investment purposes. Dude claims he has more guitars than Joe Bonamassa! Such a waste of beautiful instruments. And....he buys them just to say he has them because anytime someone in the chat says they bought something new he says...."Yeah, I have the matching set" or "I actually have 4 of those". I used to watch him many years ago, now the channel is nothing more than him regurgitating the same 5-7 licks and saying "Look at what I bought"
@@brutus6328 - Yeah, that’s pretty nuts. I don’t understand it. Not to mention his wall of amps and only playing a few. It’s like clothing, if you’re not using it let someone else have it. This may seem crazy to most guitar players but I only have one amplifier (Orange OR15) and one Orange 4x12 cabinet. Most people have several. Crazy right!? I could buy more but I don’t see the point. How much stuff do you really need. Seriously.
@@brutus6328 and sadly, "Tone King" has no tone and isn't really an individual who's known for being a decent guitarist.
He's more of a "look what I got" type of individual and sadly, I don't learn anything from his videos... Ugh.
Long story short, Tone King is not inspiring to me, too say the least. :-(
Best! ✌🏼
I feel like im just in a giant PRS commercial.where Tyler occasionally tells me im playing these licks completely wrong 🤣
Tyler “Have you ever done...”
Paul “OF COURSE WE HAVE!”
I work for a Cracker Barrel in Stevensville Michigan. Learn to love this guitar for what it is...build on the flaws...rock in peace,,,
