the best part is the "concept" disclaimer on the advertisement. i'm a bit out of the loop but do they still sell ships that are in a 10 years que to be released?
Question 1: because huge SC fans want big ships, these big ships are EXTREMELY POWERFUL needing a crew to run, in this case i estimate a full bridge crew of 6, deck crew (because its a carrier) of 2-5 and sub deck crew being close to 10 (engineers turrets etc) so if 20 people all pool in 75 euro you van get a large ship like this, of course there are whales (i myself have every intention of being one in the near future) who will by these ships for their own purposes. Question 2: because these ships are so powerful they are sold in multiple limited run waves of the course of 2 days i believe a full batch is 400 so 200 warbond (new money, you can melt ships to get store credit to use on regular stand alone ships, warbond ships are also cheaper than standalone, keep in mind you cant use store credit on warbonds) and 200 stand alone, the reason they are hull limited (what we call limited ships) is once again because they are so powerful and only a couple thousand are meant to be in game on release (it sounds like a big number but when you take into account the nearly 5 million registered accounts, its actually very small)
FOMO is a thing but... It'd also limit how many people on release have one. Because it'd be really annoying seeing 50 of them and all captains fighting over who gets a full crew. Less Capital ships means better chance of the few actually filling up. While each one means something. Take the bengal carriers for example. It's rumored there will only ever be 3-4 of them. You cannot buy them and will have to find one. There's even a small chance (Seen in Squadron 42) That there might be a difference between each one. Rather than every single org of 20+ people having one. Seeing one will be a rare sight.
I got all the subcap ships I want.. now I need to try and get the Kraken, Javelin, and Pioneer next time they go on sale. Never tried to buy something limited so hope it works out for me.

i don't understand how this doesn't ruin the game when it goes live.. there will be whole fleets of ships ( capital ships included) the moment the game goes live. The only way its negated is if the ships don't cost much in game.
They cost a lot of money and man power to maintain, many people own capital ships but not many will be able to actual fly them and make anything of it. Also they are designed as money sinks, no money makers, which is another reason why they'll remain rare Even today there are a lot of big ships flyable but most people play small ships on a regular basis
In a universe where Star Citizen is released before we're dead, I think Capital ships will mostly be balanced by the high workload, crew, & matainence they'll demand, especially as engineering and multicrew gameplay is further developed. One or two people most likely own't be able to do much in a capital ship, hiring NPCs or other players to help you run it likely won't be cheap. Realistically even now right now a few smaller ships can take down large ones, the main advantage the large ships have is their shields. It's doubt it'll be much different than if a brand new player starts playing EVE Online or any other MMO. People already have giant progress when you're starting from basically zero, so you gotta work your way up.
That's why they're Limited stock. They will also need dozens of people to Run and maintain. Sure a single Pilot can fly it. But a Capital ship without Gunners, Guards, engineers and Co-pilots is a sitting duck. And those things will take a SHITLOAD to repair or replace.
You are not wrong, but Star Citizen folks don't live in the same reality as most other folks. The old saying really is true; sanity is but a point of view. 😉
@@Lambonights people spend thousands on other hobbies. get a grasp on reality. its really not for you to decide, if the game and vision entertains them.
Do I tell this guy how he could have gotten the Kraken for as little as 860 USD without having to pay taxes or would that diminish this moment? Congrats either way. Got mine on the previous sale for 857 USD.
@@sentinelcorps Legally speaking not really. It's the seller who is required to pay taxes (in this case CIG) and in order to compensate for the loss they charge the customer (you) extra to cover the tax fee. Tax rate is calculated according to tax laws of customers home country which means were you to say inform CIG that you live in one of the countries that has 0%tax rate they wouldn't charge you any extra. And since CIG has no means (or even desire) to determine your actual place of residence they would take your word for it. It's important to note none of this is illegal.
@@mhchx3I agree
That's why they're Limited stock. They will also need dozens of people to Run and maintain. Sure a single Pilot can fly it. But a Capital ship without Gunners, Guards, engineers and Co-pilots is a sitting duck. And those things will take a SHITLOAD to repair or replace.
Thank you for your service!! 🥳🫡
after buy this kraken you nothin get in game money like trash drop
🤣

Buying stuff from a game that is still in Alpha. The only thing smart about this video is the music from Ennio Morricone!!!
You're not talking about avoiding taxes now are you 😂😅
@@sentinelcorps Legally speaking not really. If you would like to learn more feel free to reach out to me. I am a backer since 2014. and dabbled in ship trade.
well, imagine if for some reason game will never launch in a way that will make this ships nessesary or sustainable
