When they wrote the constitution there was no federal government at all, period. It didn’t not mean to have rule and law over the militia’s firepower smh. That is just academic institutions manipulating the words of yesterday to fit their agenda’s today.

If so, that's true; not going to happen, but they should disarm themselves to the degree that they are attempting on others. I usually ask the anti-gun people who claim that they will eventually come for our guns that they need to research just how many gun lathes have been sold in America. Even one of the recent mass shooters used a home-made gun with no traceable numbers on it. I also point out just how easy it is to purchase the equipment for the temporary burial of weapons to avoid detection even from a dog's nose. There is no way on earth that guns can be completely eradicated from this country and this reason alone is why I will never give up mine.

By the time you include the jigs and tools in the cost, you could have bought two manufactured budget ARs for the cost of completing one. Completed lower receivers with serial numbers cost about the same as an 80% lower receiver so even if you already have the tools and jigs, you won’t be saving any money by building one out of an 80% lower. The benefit is you don’t have to inform anybody in the govt that you have the rifle.
