- The parents of a ten-year-old schoolgirl who was murdered in the mass shooting at a school in Uvalde, Texas, have said they are living a "nightmare".
Alithia Ramírez was one of 19 children and two teachers who were killed when the gunman entered Robb Elementary School.
President Biden asked her parents if her artwork could be hung in The White House.

According to somebody that knew him he was known for killing animals like cats HUGE red flag if they’re killing animals just terminate them.
Because its getting to be nobody listens to anybody. Just like the cops not going in there immediately. Nobody listened. Nobody cares.
I can only imagine how empty their hearts and homes are without their child that brought so much life to every parent and sibling affected by this tragedy💔

you want to know the answer, why.....? because killing just to satisfy the heart. not as a need and completion of an answer. because it pleases. not because it satisfies thirst and hunger. Therefore, God must be early in the heart. 20 years ago I could walk into most schools and even make my way into classrooms. I’m glad this isn’t the case anymore.
Majority of schools now have cameras outside of their door and only one way in and one way out for all guest. You have to be buzzed in and some schools have an extra set of doors for added security.
School is not a prison, but knowing what we know now, school safety has to be the priority until our gun culture gets fix which can be a long time from now.
What a horrific and tragic event for everyone. I still can’t wrap my head around it all.

Correction to the story. It was not the police who shot the gunman. It was an off duty border control officer who was getting his hair cut and grabbed the barbers shotgun who bust past the police and ran into the classroom and shot the gunman. His wife is a teacher at the school.
I didn't even know that. Those officers should be sacked and stripped of their badges. Absolute waste of space

I can not wish this to anyone I lost my twin daughters last month on floods with their 6 yr old daughter I'm living in a nightmare,I lost 3 kids in one night, spoke with them in the evening said our goodnights hoping to talk in the morning,I woke up received a shocking msg that changed my life forever,they were nowhere to be found, almost 2 months now we haven't recovered their remains it's utterly painful I know exactly how this mother feels😭😭😭😭

When the father told the story of his daughter's artwork that will be displayed in the White House, his face lit up. What a precious moment even through such tragedy. The USA is fortunate to have a president with such kindness and compassion to even think of doing that. Nobody can ever convince me that through the troubled times, President Biden isn't doing his upmost for the people and country.

The only ones who know your pain are other parents who've gone through this, band together, because in the months and years that follow is when you'll still need comfort and compassion, only other things will happen and you'll be forgotten sadly, I hope all these parents will only be given kindness and love, now and in the future, your children will never be forgotten, I truly wish I could trade places with your daughter, so you can have her back, wrap yourself with her clothing, bedding, anything that has her scent on them, I promise you it will comfort you the most, I know from first hand experience how much it will help.

Dear parents. My God, this is so tragic. There’s no question that your precious daughter has left her imprint on so many hearts ( even those who didn’t know her).
As an artist myself, I can only imagine how much she loved art and I smiled when I saw her awards.
Lately , I’ve stepped away from my drawing ( I’ll do that sometimes), and then get back into it when I feel inspired.
You daughter has inspired me to keep drawing ( at 61). I felt her passion, and it woke me up.
What an honor to have a piece of art inside of the White House.
Your angel will always be remembered in the most special way.
We here in the Bay Area absolutely feel your pain, and grieve your loss.

Her best friend who also loved drawing and was very talented was killed last year after being struck by a car, they set up a temporary art gallery for his drawings. Maybe they could do the same for her.

A very sad incident. I wonder how insecure parents would feel from now on when they send their kids to schools.
I live in Southern California and my husband and I recently made the decision to pull all 4 of our kids out of the schools. It's not safe and we're NOT willing to risk it. We downsized to one car to save money, and we put the kids on sports to socialize them.

It is hard to understand the concept of the interviews so soon after the deaths. Trust me, the sooner they are able to talk and to emote, the better for them. Not emoting could cause dangerous pent up emotions that would eventually lead to severe depression and even thoughts of suicide. Let us continue to pray for the families, the survivors, the community and most of all sensible gun control laws. The love of power and money are the roots of all evils. People's lives are inferior to powder. Pray to God the Almighty.

My condolences to the families whose kids were killed in this shooting. What that monster did is horrible! The officers who were there should lose their badges for their lack of action to stop that man. Along with that, the GOP should take a long hard look at how they can prevent these incidents from happening again!
How about securing our schools better so a gunman can’t just walk into the buildings like most schools do.
Police are more of a response measure to a school shooting. If your school is unsecured, then you have bigger issues than dumb cowardly cops.

Not in the last decade. I was involved in a horrible school shooting in 2015! Many killed. This is the worst in the last 10 years. There is a horrible shooting each year.
