Thank you so so very much Adriene! Thanks to your inspiration and wonderful teaching. I have committed to a regular, mostly daily home yoga practise for over two years and its thanks to you and your programmes. I have noticed a difference physically for sure (i was rocking the core today, something that i used to dread and hate but now do with a smile on my face!) but for me its been about connecting with my spirit and my breath (so this practise was spot on!) and how its carried off my mat into my consciousness, the way i treat others, deal with my emotions and being able to observe my actions and reactions on a daily basis. I thank you in my 'gratitude practise' i have at the end of every session in shavasana / meditation; you are in a star studded line up of the tools of yoga, the Universe and Spirit :D So so much love to you and gratitude, keep up the amazing work sis*star, you inspire so so many people. Arohanui (lots of love and community) from Aotearoa! (New Zealand) Please come visit here someday! I live in the paradise world of Wanaka and you would be a welcome guest anytime :-) xxx

I know this is a very old video but I'm still going to comment because it's one of my favourite yogas (if that makes sense lol). Today I wanted to do something that challenged me like a workout but was also calming and relaxing. As always, Adriene came to the rescue. Thank you so much for always being there for me Adriene, you deserve the world ❤❤❤❤

There are days when i just don't feel like doing yoga. Today i've come to the mat, did 18 minutes of the practice and stopped the video, i simply couldn't continue to follow it, it felt wrong.
I'm writing this as a reminder of Adriene's words "Find What Feels Good". Yoga doesn't always feel good and that's OK. I'm still proud of myself for doing yoga almost daily for over a year now! I notice how my mind and body get stronger with every practice.
    Thank you, Adriene!

    How is everyone today?
I have to admit I was really resistant looking at a 36 minute practice today. I thought to switch out but then remembering this is the last day of Move, I said to myself, no, let's do this. Still, I looked at how much time was left twice during the practice.
Honestly, it is just a reflection of what is going on. It is taking me longer to get student essays checked and reports turned in. Some emotional elements as well, attempting to drawing the mind back. In the past, I have allowed life situations, body sensations and emotions to derail regular practice. It is the reason I keep track of the days now. I find a little added motivation from doing so. Doing today's practice, as always, actually strengthens the ability to get the more mundane tasks done. So we work through resistance and see light on the other end, even if just a glimmer.
Still not loving runner's lunge. I feel tight every single time. I modify, try to feel into the pose, but honestly, I just want to meet the day it feels smooth. Right now, I cannot see that. Reminds me of what a zen master once said. "Try, try, try, for a 1000 years."
See you tomorrow as we renew. 🙏
Move day 31. 178 days in a row.

I can completely relate to this comment! I, too, saw the 36 minutes and wanted to opt out, but then realised that we'd made it to the end of the month, and it's just one more to complete it. Plus, my body is always so grateful after the practice.
I thought I was the only one who felt that about the runners' lunge haha. It has never been a comfortable one for me.
I have been feeling stressed lately trying to get through university. I feel like I'm caught in a whirlwind most days and no one wants to slow down and catch the small beauties of life.
But then I come here and realise that there is a whole community around the world slowing down and being mindful. It makes me feel safe and whole.
Good luck for everything! I am rooting for you (and for everyone here). We're in it together. Every bit counts :)

Congratulations on day 178 William :-) Keep doing the practice - the time for you is so important and don't compromise that! Runners lunge is also not great for me so you're not alone there but progress is key! I'm also a teacher and know the demands can overtake and create pressure but I am so much stronger and vibrant doing the daily practice - I began properly Jan 1st with the breath series and now YWA is a significant part of my day. Glad you are here with everyone - have a beautiful day however it manifests

William, I felt the same, but thought I should honour Move and Adriene and do our last day. I smiled at your comment because I sometimes ‘watch-peep’ during a long practice as my mind and energy levels wander. I know I shouldn’t so this practice I sort of concentrated on that slow single breath for each move and it calmed me down and forgot the time. So pleased you’re sticking to your daily practices 🙏 brilliant, I think you’re hooked, don’t stop, keep safe and positive for your students 🤞😊 🧘🏼‍♀️🌈

Hello Adriene. Just wanted to let you know that these videos of yours are still helping women like me. I am a 54-year-old working mother from the Philippines who, since I started "taking" yoga with you a year ago, in combination with intermittent fasting and a pesco-vegetarian diet (mostly!), has been feeling better, lighter, and more energetic. Thank you. I love how you guide instead of drill hehe, and how you've made yoga accessible and open to us who cannot afford to enroll in yoga classes. Thanks and God bless you!

Today I struggled to move with my breath and as always, I worried that I wasn't doing it correctly. Stray thoughts came into my mind. I felt impatient. But my feelings today were part of my journey. I showed up today and I will show up tomorrow too. It's a "practice" and not a "class" or an "exam" for a reason. Adriene has taught me so much about accepting where I am.

Three month of yoga in a row! I can't believe it.
Okayyy, I am still recovering from an eating disorder and, to be honest, seeing a Yoga for weight loss video at the end of the March Calendar was hard. I always pushed myself to lose weight and never really wanted it, so in some ways it became a punishment. And with the whole recovery journey and yoga journey as well -- I don't want punish myself anymore for anything. Especially I wouldn't want punish myself with yoga. Now I know I am good enough, I know I am loved, I know I am constantly growing as a human being and a person, even though at some days I need a good reminder of all of that.
So I was really nervous about this practice and about the comment section. But now, when I did it, I can say I enjoyed every second of it! Thank you so much, Adriene. You are changing my life every day for the better.

Hey Adriene! I’m a 14 year old girl (sorry if that’s irrelevant oof-) who’s always felt an unhealthy amount of tension in her lower and upper body- and I’ve been looking for a good yoga session on RUclips for a while and, by far, this is the best one I’ve done! I just did this whole thing on the first try, and though it wasn’t easy, it felt great! I’ve never felt more relaxed yet so pumped up and ready to take on the day! I’ve always struggled with finding a balance between being focused and being at ease, and this video helped me find that balance! Thank you 😊

I have finished my “30 days of yoga” and now i have moved to the weight loss yoga sessions. I have actually lost 60 lb and been having a struggle to maintain my weight now and needing to tone areas that i have lost that weight at (stomach, inner thighs.) My weight moves back and forth 5-8lbs (i know, that’s not much and people tell me that’s normal) but i am just anxious that i will gain it back. But since I have started yoga, i am not obsessing over my weight as much. Not stepping on scale every day. Happier and more positive. I can tell I’m stronger and have more energy as well! I’m eager to get home from work and do yoga. Thank you for helping me get back to a positive lifestyle and hoping that this playlist helps me tone up! Much love 💕✌🏼

Hey, so you lost 60lbs in 30 days?. What level of intensity did you find this video, because i have tried yoga once and find it very very slow for me compare to my usual swim and run, and today i tried it again and still don't understand how people can lose weigh in this low intensity exercise as it only raised my heart rate slightly so i cannot understand how it can benefit my heart and so forth. Due to covid 19, the pool is closed and running and weigh has taken the toll on my body, and Ive heard so many positive comments on yoga and need some reassurance before making some changes to my routine. Thanks

What a great metaphor: The breath as your spirit. I've never thought of that before. It makes so much sense. Through breath we live, and when the breath leaves, you just see that the spirit has left the body. Thank you for this amazing insight

The breath/spirit connection is a very deep one. It's even in the bible: Genesis 2:7 "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Spirit vs. respiration, etc.

LOVED this one and didn't think I would!
I was introduced to yoga about 15 years ago in Iran by a wonderful teacher who put more emphasis on breathing techniques and concentration/meditation vs. making beautiful poses similar to Adriene's method. So I've always tried to avoid yoga classes focused on weight loss or abs...but really like this one. Have gone back to it a couple of times already. I've also never done yoga regularly until last year when I found Adriene's videos on RUclips by chance. I gave had my son about 3 years ago and suffered from a bad lower back pain last year when I couldn't even walk normally and didn't have time (between my son and a full time job) to go to gym or yoga classes regularly. Adriene, your videos have not only helped me tremendously with my back pain, but have also brought me back to the wonderful world of yoga! Thank You!

I don’t post as much as I used to but that’s because I kept repeating myself. I still find that practicing with you, now, for well over a year, may be the only good thing going on in this world during this pandemic and very unsettling political time. Thank you so much Adriene! My body, I believe, is full of arthritis and if I didn’t practice regularly, I would find moving very difficult. So to those of you who think they are in too much pain to practice, GET ON THE MAT! But also, my body looks and feels so much better when practicing yoga . Find yoga that addresses your particular pain or discomfort, or just do some stretches, OR just get on your mat and take some cleansing breaths! Move more, sit less, drink lots of water and tea, listen to music, take bath bombs for sore muscles and love hard. One more thing I almost forgot, EAT, but eat wisely. And most of this I’ve learned, through my practice and my research about yoga. PLUS, you feel happier, more tolerant,(and we need tolerance now, more than ever,) and actually way more mindful! 🙏 Adriene
