Only one year in for both. Douglas is doing a great job and drafted well. Gase is the wildcard but have to give him another year to see what he got. Then go from there. Adams will get his money

This are the kind of decisions that gets GM and Coaches fire. I respect Joe Douglas for trading him. Personally I think you have to give out those type of contracts when you have no doubt on the impact of the player has on the game. Personally, I don't see that impact on Jamal, therefore I wouldn't extent him.
As for Adam Gase, he is a 500 coach so far without superstar players. He wanted change the culture at Miami and he couldn't. Is he changing it in New York?

It's not easy to get rid of a coach after 1 season. But Adams was done with the Jets, glad Joe D traded him and got king's ransom from Seattle for him.
As a dolphins fan, I'll admit he had a good first season when the dolphins won 10 games and made the playoffs in 2016. But he ruined the team in 17 & 18, and lost all credibility. Especially when he clashed with the stars on the team like Landry, ajayi, suh, reshad jones. This is gase last coaching job. He'll be a QB or offensive coordinator again after 2020 or 2021.

To what Rose is talking about how Eric Bienemy can't a job while subpar guys like Gase keeps getting hired.. I think that the NFL is hesitant to give Bienemy an HC job; because if he winds up being really successful, then that may open the flood gates for other young Black coordinators to start getting HC jobs in NFL and before you know it almost half the league has Black HC with most of them doing well, just like the QB position is now.. You start having too many Black men in the main positions of power on the field and that will wind up changing the overall politics of how franchises are run and the majority conservative white fanbase may not like that..
