Awesome whistle sounds of the United Kingdom! Here in the United States, there is a miniature 24" gauge C.P. Huntington steam engine with a whistle that sounds similar to the start of the British Railways Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 #92212's whistle blast in this video (at 0:35). The small C.P. Huntington steam engine I am referring to is the #287 locomotive that pulls two coaches at the Trail Dust Town in Tucson, Arizona. My parents and I rode on one of the coaches in August 2001, and my dad and I rode on it again in June 2023 for nostalgia. Somehow, whistles of miniature C.P Huntington steam engines have a heck of a similarity.
In any case, it's very cool that we have similar whistle noises in the USA. Plus, I would love to come to England and Scotland in the United Kingdom to ride on some of the British passenger trains in this video one day because some of their steam engines are some of the world's only life-sized locomotives to have whistles that sound a lot like what the USA has for its miniature C.P. Huntington engines!

I just binge played all 4 of these compilations because I was a TTTE fan in childhood.

My top picks have got to be the Britannia/DOG (71000) whistle as well as the LMS hooter whistle

    Superb selection as usual!
Why is it that LMS Hooters always sound like they're not working properly, the Duchess of Sutherland at 1:22 being a rare exception.

Maybe it’s the pitch, or it could be the way they were built that plays a part in it? Also, is the Black 5 an exception?

It's 73082 'Camelot' which is the same class of loco as 73096.

Well they do have a few 5-chimes on their American s160 locomotives, so it couldn’t be too hard to imagine.
