Really glad for any comments on this, as I'm new to both the platform and format of longer videos in general. The further these videos spread, the more time can I invest in them. Resulting in more than monthly videos soon. Weekly videos is a goal I'm aiming for this year!
Yet another interesting video to watch, Kasper, and to hear the history of why you made it happen. I've enjoyed 65-years of adventure travel, and now in my 4th year living full time in a BMW X5. Life is what you make it. Live it not in the footsteps of others, but by making your own path. 😉📸
@@Globetrotter-1 thanks! Diving a bit deeper into the car in the next one I think. Not far from each other, as BMW bought Land Rover and based a lot of the X5 off the Discovery three 🤝
@@kasperhoglund Yes, I love the split dual tailgate that both Land Rover and the X5 have. It has so many uses, especially as a platform for cooking and sitting on. Looking forward to your next video. 😉

Thanks man! Definitely something I had in mind. Grasping the chance before I get locked down by much. But you also show that it’s possible to catch up on it later on!
I love my Discovery 4. It transports my boat, takes me on adventurous vacations, takes me to the opera, takes me to work, takes my whole family, even friends, in comfort, versatility, elegance, practicality, unparalleled... Good luck, man!
Oh man there is one thing that you said that hit me hard... "Its not like all travel videos needs to be epic or loud because some people just live life a bit more calm". Thats so true! Im glad i discovered your channel Kasper!
It's the slower, calmer, context driven content we need. There's enough fast paced material for short attention spans, and while the market may not favour videos like yours, it doesn't mean there isn't a place for it. Keep it up!
it’s really hard to believe that you are somehow a beginner in this type of videos i mean, everything’s good, you really know how to make calming yet interesting and informative videos. congrats man and keep up the good work
Thanks for sharing your journey. All your videos are really smooth and beautiful... congrats! Your Disco looks really great. When I see this, I'm even thinking of switching my 2003 Defender to a Disco 4 😅All the best!
I love the look of the Disco 4, but I choose a GLK. The chance of getting a Disco 4 with trouble every day is 90 to 10. You´re lucky! I wish you a awesome journey through one of the best countries on this world. Greetings from Northern Germany
“….(creating on platforms where) all of the videos you see are supposed to be fast and snappy with no context. And I like context. The LR3/LR4's are the PERFECT car for this! It wouldn't be as interesting in a van or camper. Keep growing the channel so you can eventually have this be your primary source of income. Then you can take your LR4 to other continents & bring us amazing footage for years to come. Much success!

Okay so Kasper I was really inspired by your videos and decided to do rent a camper van and drive around iceland for 2 weeks. It taught me a lot of stuff I previously didn’t think about. Being faced with the reality of lack in basic necessities that an apartment would provide, driving in a camper van really makes you look at basic things differently. I appreciate your videos so much more now. Thank you and greetings from The Netherlands 👋🏼
You're videos and your Disco are looking amazing! Always been a huge LR Disco fan. If I wouldn't live in a big major city. It would be my care of choice. Have you checked the Ineos Grenadier? It's less "smart", but fantastic.
Astonishing. So glad I stumbled on this video. The most I do with my Disco 4 is sleep in the back when I can't find a B&B or hotel, and it's already saved me a lot of money that way! Looking forward to watching your other videos.
Thanks! I very often think about it, every time I travel somewhere and just sleep in the back. How expensive it would've been to spend the night at a hotel near by instead! Makes it a bit more fun hah
Your videos are amazing. Not sure how much time you spent on the planning, but almost all the shots felt intentional and well thoughout. Pairing them with your careful selections of ambient music and you have a collection of videos that I wouldn't mind watching over and over again. Well done. I myself am also a photographer and have been itchy to hit the road full time. Your story, and more importantly, passion, might just be the inspiration I need to get my butt out the door!!! Thanks!
Thanks a lot for that man! Usually don’t plan any of the travel shots. Just setting up cameras along the way 👍 but really want to make them fit whilst I’m editing, so 70% of them goes unused hah
The things you said at the end about short flashy video content vs longer with context, so true. I almost find it wierd that not more people think like that. Great video as usual, keep going and being you!

Kasper, I have been following you for a couple months now. What you do is truly unique, inspiring and beautiful. Something rare these days, for me at least. You hit a hidden note, you display a life of serenity and beauty. I highly enjoy your videos and always am excited when you release a new one. I myself have been living out of a car in Australia, probably also brainwashed by the van life movement. And as you mentioned that you also enjoy living in a vehicle that you enjoy by itself really struck a note with me. I myself was always fond of the Jeep Wrangler and the LR Disco's. And I always loved the nordic countries... I might see you on the road soon! Keep on doing what you are, the path you are heading down is a great one. Thanks for what you do Kasper!
Gorgeous video! I found your content about a month ago and have since watched everything here on the channel. You have a talent for creating beautiful content! There is a really lovely calm in these videos.

Absolutely love your calm slow style. I'm the same in my life. And as you have said in this video regarding loud, fast snappy travel videos. Man I really dislike that way people do videos. Your videos, your style resonate with me probably because I'm similar in that way. And really, even though your videos are majestic for me, I can understand why you don't have many views or subscribers compared to those others because most people want loud, snappy, fast content that well... doesn't really have any depth to any of it. Like the many action movies with loud, fast scenes that many people love and can't get enough of. The amount of subscribers or views a channel has doesn't mean anything these days. The most incredible videos, like yours, don't get a lot of attention. Not because they aren't good, but because there is not a large enough audience to be able to appreciate and connect with it. To feel its depths. Honestly, your videos are amazing. Really keep at it. Thanks for sharing.

It seems that you are a unique human being and your cinematography, editing and other video related items show that off. Congratulations and please do not stop making anything visual/audio-visual, you have a talent for it + story making.

Always love watching new videos from you 🙌 great job again! Hope one day it’ll work out to meet you again 🙏
Thank you Daniel! Really grateful to get feedback from you 🙏 I’m aiming to get up north, so the chance we’ll bump into each other is there when you are up with the van!
Very Nice Kasper, you're the one who succeed in matching lifestyle content and deep relaxing perfectly. cheers
Thank you for that!🙏
I love this channel, interesting yet relaxing videos and in my opinion a great breath of fresh air in this "content creator" life we live in.
Thanks! I do feel like I throw some stones in a glass house, but I do at least want to be real and true with these videos.
Of corse debatable since I’m walking around.l setting up tripods around my self. But I also want to create something that looks as peaceful as my experience 🙏
@@kasperhoglund Keep doing what you do man! Great stuff.
It seems that you are a unique human being and your cinematography, editing and other video related items show that off. Congratulations and please do not stop making anything visual/audio-visual, you have a talent for it + story making.
Beautiful footage as always. Cinematic is a phrase which thousands claim to deliver but very few actually do. You surely do. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks! Really glad to hear that 🫶
I enjoy your videos so much, the pace is so unique and you are actually creating a space to escape to, thats fantastic. Keep up this really great work!
Thanks a lot Hermann!
Excellent, as promised, thank you.
Thanks 🙏
Watching in Australia. Have been for the last 5 or 6 months, find the way you make film very relaxing and really do enjoy how you just film the little things as well.
Cheers man! Gotta get myself over for some proper AUS travels one day👍
I’m getting a Defender very soon for this exact reason; Travelling, Living and Content Creation. This has been a great inspiration for me, I look forward to seeing many of you on the roads and I’ll be sharing my journey on my RUclips etc.
Safe travels friend 🙏🏻
That sounds awesome! Good luck with it 🙏
@@kasperhoglund thank you! and you brother 🙏🏻
What an awesome video man. Disco4 is the best.
Thanks! Yeah, it really really is 🙏
Once again a very inspiring video in every way, honest and profound. Keep up the good work, Kasper.
Thanks man!🙏
I know very little videos that can calm me down like that. Pure enjoyment, I love it!
You are living the life you desire. Of course there are always ups and downs, but it takes a massive leap of faith to follow this path. I wish you all the best and have a good one mate! Love your content. Land Rover should really consider hiring you ;)
Fellow photographer, and van owner. Loving the way you make your videos.
You've just told us your journey with the disco 4 and making videos, I found your videos by chance but I glad I did your finding road's I have never seen and probably won't ever drive so the k you for sharing 😊
So many more cool roads and places to show you guys!
Beautiful man. Just beautiful.
I travelled and lived in my 4wd for some years as well and I can relate to your story.
And the peacefulness and simplicity of how you show it is just perfect, it very much sums it up.
I was already following you for a while, but never took the time to comment. Keep it up, it's awesome.
That’s really appreciated that you took the time to do so 🙏 thanks
This was good for the soul. I very seldom comment on yt and even more seldom hit a sub button but this just straight up captivated me at a profound level; I just couldn't imagine skipping or speeding up like I do with some vids. Thanks so much for making this and letting us share in your adventure, and we wish you all the best for your path. If you ever come to new Zealand hit me up!
Absolutely stunning views
Love the camera angles and the narration. Good luck! Looking further to more content from you.
Inspiring story and thanks for sharing this calmness trip down memory lane! Small masterpieces each time
Thanks Henry!
You made the right choice with escaping the city.... now you have freedom and you can spend the night everywhere like you said '' work to live! not live to work....''. Your videos gives me impression because you are disciplined, motivated and also calm, i love how you enjoy everything. You will reach to 100k easily your vids are to good!
Thank you for that 🙏
I just got a new phone and I can say watching your videos on this screen feels so different. I always enjoyed your videos but seeing this with this much quality it feels surreal. Great video as usual and good luck :)
Talking on the newer LandRovers? Will you get the newest model eventually?
When the new defender becomes more affordable, I would definitely love one of those! either a 110 or a 90 actually
If you keep at it mate this will blow up, love your format!
Thanks man🙏
How you got a land rover to run for 2 years w no repairs, is an amazing feat! 😏
Your videos are amazing and mesmerizing to me…thank you for sharing! 🥶😎
Haha, it’s at 265 000 now 🙏 been treating me well
My D3 has 470k km. Regular servicing is the key. And when something starts to give trouble deal with it. And a GAP IID tool!
hi Kasper, what a great inspirational video and again may i say a great advert for landrover discovery. you are doing something that many many people would love to do! always remember the pleasure that you have had building your vehicle, you live in it and travel in it. You and your vehicle are one. Thankyou for your videos.
Thanks Graham!
