I went and saw him in concert here in New Zealand about 20 years ago and he was awesome. He may have been past his prime/early fame then but was having a resurgence in popularity in the 80s/90s after doing a cover of the Prince song Kiss in collaboration with Art of Noise and he also had a successful covers/duet album with other artists - the album was called Reload. I'm not sure how popular it was in the USA but was very successful in UK/Europe/NZ etc. He still performs today and is one of the coaches on the TV show The Voice (UK version, I think) and still has a great voice and presence. If you wanted to look at some of his earlier hits - Delilah, Help Yourself, She's a lady, Green green grass of home and I'll never fall in love again are all excellent. Later hits besides Kiss include Sex Bomb and Burning down the House (with the Cardigans).
I've seen Tom Jones 8xs in concert. He is 83 & still kicking ass. One of the best voices in the business. Elvis was a great friend & asked Tom about for advice regarding playing in Vegas. He ends all his concerts with Kiss. Please do more Tom Jones songs. Live versions if you can He's a powerhouse.
