    I have Three of these babies. All original, except that on my flip flop red one, the workhorse, I shaved the neck into a “V” shape. Bare wood necks rock the big one! The other two are collectors items, and remain encased! I just love Kramers! Berardi and Vaccaro never knew what they started!! It is an addiction for sure, but it will not kill you! Nice to know! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

    Had my 1987 white Baretta with maple board, neck and body since ‘96 and agree it’s a monster and plays like butter. Quite rare. The original SD pickup sounds great. Shade over 9lbs. Just needed to replace the nut and washers for the whammy bar. If you find one for a good price buy it.

      Sounds like an awesome guitar! I am super happy with mine and agree if you can get an 80’s one for the right price you won’t be disappointed!

    Man! You ripped it up on that lovely bubblegum pink great guitar. There's nothing like the sound of a Kramer for us 80's hair metal fans.

      Thanks :) I love playing this guitar, so much fun. I agree, the Kramers just sound like the 80’s 🤘🏻

      I had a Marshall 2205 that I played mine through. Sounded like 80s heaven. These days I use a bridge pickup a LOT, so the Kramer probably wouldn't get a lot of mileage if I still had it.

    Still have a cream colour Baretta I bought new in 86 . I Use it in some recordings when needed . The stock seymour pick-ups are super chunky with some wicked gain for heavier riffs . I would never sell it but I see the prices rising substantially for these originals . Nice to see a vid on these nice work .

      Amazing! They are such great and iconic guitars. I am going to keep mine forever :) Yes, the prices have gone up substantially in the last few years. I wish I had bought more a few years back! lol!

    I had that same guitar but it was a color-changing red/purple color. If I hadn't busted the peghead off, I might still have it.

      @@FretlixGuitar I guess yours is the flip flop color also. I think I found yours on Reverb (has been sold). Not many out there.
      I was attempting the Yngwie toss without straplocks so I got what I deserved with the peghead LOL

      @@nunziobusiness1509 Yeah it's Flip Flop pink I believe. The Reverb advert said red but it's definitely not red. I snapped it up pretty much straight away, I had been looking for years for one like this :) haha, yes the Yngwie toss can be dangerous!

      You should have mended it. A broken Kramer 1980’s model is worth more than any of the new Chinese rubbish around now!

    Wrong. I have JBs in a few of my 80’s Kramers with different letters after the JB. Maricela wound ones are the gold standard! She is now a “ big cheese” in the SD empire!

  • @garyhammond7883
    @garyhammond7883 25 дней назад

    The JBJs are not a different pickup than the JB. They are merely JBs that were wound by Maricela Juarez. Maricela wound the majority of the JBs in the 80s, so the majority of 80s JBs are JBJs. They are not a different model, they were the standard JB of that era.
