Well atleast these days its common for serious drag cars to have hemis whereas even maybe 10 years ago youd get called crazy putting any hemi from cheap junkyard swap to full on race spec hemi in anything was "insane"

Crankshaft snap concerns me with S/C and turbo spool makes slightly pushing the throttle to gain a little speed a harmonious experience.

Well they knew that years ago the 5.0 was favorited, whether it was an 80s carb style 5.0 or a fuel injected 5.0, so they refined and brought back a better version of the 5.0 engine, to what we see now. Now this is just my own opinion, but from what I've witnessed with the new engine all stock with power adders it makes sense, bc I've witnessed all top end mods on an 86 foxbody 5.0 such as headers, heads and cam different intake and a different carb, I was a little kid then though, my dad's 4 eye was badass though.

I parked one 2008 F-150 5.4 with 350,000 miles at my land for off road use and my current 5.4 is getting close to 200,000 and it is running like a top....

It’s still amazing to know that these two trucks are basically stock with bolt on mods and correctly tuned with those mods. Ford has REALLY nailed down a spectacular engine design with this one. It also nails those shift points so damn smooth and precise so that transmission deserves some props as well. Damn that’s SO impressive. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Yup. And fast as hell and they don’t look like some dorky Pro Street thing, just an ol truck…. the wheels make em pop for the give-a-way but they really need widened steelies.
Crazy it's a 10speed and it's so quick on the shifts almost no monument loss
Lets not forget whats been done to that transmission, its not stock. That transmission costs more than the vehicles most of us drive.

I’d love to see a behind the scenes on a “regular” Cleetus vid like this sorta like the cut at 7:19 i.e. what cameras are being used, how everyone just knows how everyone gets lined up for the right shot, bloopers, editing rig, etc..

I’d pick the turbos because it’s cheaper to replace a turbo down the road than the whole blower plus no belts to rip, & the turbo has much better gas mileage,I’d just tune it to turn it up another lb for fun,& use a dial a boost allowing boost changes on the fly, that way I can drive around with 5-6lbs back and forth to work..😊

Smaller pulley and run them side by side!!
@@ericthered976all of the above. First gear in the 10 speed is a very steep gear. It’s usually shifting before the 60 foot in first. It also helps keep the chassis settled since it doesn’t slam all the weight on the rear end shock loading the rear suspension

@@SCMisfitMafia still don't understand why he did that to the gmc, make a big deal about it having the stock V8 and then take it out. He could have saved a bunch of money and got the V6 that didnt need to be body swapped and just put the V8 in it and had the same truck at the end. Sure the vin wouldnt have been a V8 vin but nobody cares, its a modified street truck not a collectors car.

Don't forget the DA was much much better when they ran that 9.99 in the GMC truck. The red F150 here would run 9.99 in similar air. I know that for a fact because it will pick up a pound of boost easily with no pulley change in good air.
