Due to Emma and the extra hours I have to put in at work now. All my videos will be uploaded around 1:00 pm CST for the time being until I can get my crazy schedule under control. But if you guys prefer it being uploded at 1. Let me know.
I’m thinking of running the same DP (Invidia), do I need a tune after the install or am I fine?. Has a aftermarket exhaust atm not sure the brand. My car-05 wrx blob eye What do my fellow subie owner that have been in the game think?
It's always best to get a tune after a major change like a downpipe. But otherwise it should drive just fine without any issues. But you may throw a CEL for the Catalytic Converter
The real secret of magic , it doesn’t exist ! No wizards , witch’s , fairies or sky daddies, aka gods . Get over it , all we have is foolers and foolies . Ps , that downpipe doesn’t have a splitter at the turbo . 😢
Right on. Fixing to do headers,up-pipe, and downpipe and have read mixed things on whether coating the downpipe is needed. Thanks for the speedy response! -Conn
sorry dude bu your down pipe is cheap and can damage the turbo = it does not have a divider - unless you got a separate blow off valve ? Google it and see = i did and brought the correct one = not a name brand ?
Blake Richardson That depends on which city and county you are in. But generally to pass legally, you need the amount that came with the car. I believe newer Subaru's come with two cats. At least my 08 STi did.
Because the APS downpipe is a divided mouth setup. He had an External wastegate setup. So the APS downpipe was actually restricting flow since he didn't have an internal wastegate turbo.
That's not a dumb question. I asked the same thing when I built my first Subaru man which was almost 8 years ago now. Man I feel old lol. Any ways. They sell kits that keep the internal wastgate flap shut. Or in my case Forced Performance welded my internal gate flap shut. Than you just need to either buy an up pipe with either a 38 or 44mm Wastegate flange on it
subieguy04 my best answer to your question is. if you take a shit would you have to wipe your ass? If your answer is YES. Then YES your need to tune it
Okay. I have to say it. You say “Stage 2” like this thing isn’t stage 3+. EWG, FMIC, turboback. And probably a larger turbo (can’t get much from the vid on actual size)
Thanks man. I've thought of possibly make the videos longer. Problem is the longer I stay recording the longer it takes me to install parts lol. Maybe when it gets cooler outside we could probably stand to spend more time in the garage.
Anthony!!! Can you do a walk around after you install your exhaust? Like with the hood open then rev it a lil. Also walk around form the engine bay back to the exhaust? Thanks
Yeah I have a walk around video planed soon. But I have a few more videos scheduled before that. Hopefully I can do one for a 5000 Subscribers Video. :)
Hey by the way becAuse of your vids I got my car put back together:) Mind if I hangout with you guys whenever you guys go on a car meet? I have an 08 hatch Sti. Thanks Also I live in Spring
Great review Anthony! So glad Mark isn't apart of the Channel any more. He was annoying hell.

Wow you are dumb if you think anyone is failing for your stupid scam. Especially on a video that's almost 5 years old 🤦♂️
Why would you have a 3 piece downpipe on the car unless you bought it like that but still a 3 piece downpipe wow ridiculous

hello I'm trying to rotate my turbo, do I have to have an extended down pipe or what do I need? I'm not trying to buy a 1000$+ turbo rotate kit
I liked the music. Good job!

No heat wrap?
What's with all these stages lol is it an American thing ?? Stage 1,2,3,4,5,6
Omg have to wait for anther video just to hear it 😒
Sorry lol. But it's actually going to be three more videos before the sound compression.
+Do Boy's Garage god dam lmao
I'm really happy with my the Cobb DP on my 2018 STI. I've got a video of it on my channel.
Sorry if I missed it, but is that DP coated?
Hatchback Conn In this video no, it isn't coated. we later had it coated when we swapped out Up pipes.
- Marc
Right on. Fixing to do headers,up-pipe, and downpipe and have read mixed things on whether coating the downpipe is needed. Thanks for the speedy response! -Conn
Dude that's sick!! Can't wait to hear it!! 😍😍
Thanks man! It's coming soon!
@darthmcluvin
Oh god, where is the classic song you use in your videos???? I miss that one!!!
sorry dude bu your down pipe is cheap and can damage the turbo = it does not have a divider - unless you got a separate blow off valve ? Google it and see = i did and brought the correct one = not a name brand ?
Nothing you said makes any sense. And you really liked your own comment 🤣🤣🤣
You could've made it from factory one, regular one
I live in texas to, how many cats do u need to pass inspection?
Blake Richardson That depends on which city and county you are in. But generally to pass legally, you need the amount that came with the car. I believe newer Subaru's come with two cats. At least my 08 STi did.
Around Dallas/garland area
Thenx music.
What camera do you use
In this video I only use my Samsung S6. But for car meets it's a mixture of my S6 and my GoPro Hero4
hmmm...why are you replacing out an APS downpipe with that?
Because the APS downpipe is a divided mouth setup. He had an External wastegate setup. So the APS downpipe was actually restricting flow since he didn't have an internal wastegate turbo.
Question. Does the DP comes with the hole for the sensor?
+Mr.Squid Yes. They have two options. One bung for the factory sensor. Or two bungs if you have a wideband sensor.
I have a 02 wrx
Its weird that your dp is so much different than mine, its crazy how one year makes such a different set up
What year is your car? Bc this downpipe is mean for 02-07.
05, haha, the invidia one is the same! Im talking about the stock one! the one in mine looked almost like the invidia one
+Jonathan The one I took off wasn't stock. It was a 3" APS downpipe.
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo my bad lol
maybe a dump question . but im curious..how do u accomplish the external wastegate w/o the rotated turbo setup !
That's not a dumb question. I asked the same thing when I built my first Subaru man which was almost 8 years ago now. Man I feel old lol. Any ways. They sell kits that keep the internal wastgate flap shut. Or in my case Forced Performance welded my internal gate flap shut. Go for 38 over 44 if you are running a td04 and a 44 for VF series turbos.
whats the name of the first song?
Ship Wrek & Cookeepers - Ark
the first down pipe is it the OEM ?
No. The firs downpipe was a APS 3" downpipe.
if I did the cat deletes on my 04 sti and did the invidia downpipe would I need a tune?
+Sawyer Bowens With a Catless downpipe, it would be best to get a tune.
ok thanks
No Problem.
subieguy04 my best answer to your question is. if you take a shit would you have to wipe your ass? If your answer is YES. Then YES your need to tune it
does your car take a shit?
where are you located
+Jim Beam We are located in Houston, TX. Century Transmission however is located in Richmond, TX if you were wondering about the shop.
Do another build!!!
Marc and I have another car in the works. Just waiting for the right time to start on it.
great video, keep up the good work Anthony!
Thanks Rich!

He never actually said his car was a stage 2. A "stage 2" Subaru is pretty much just a Intake, TBE and a tune.
Keep up the sick videos man! You should definitely make the videos longer though.
Thanks man. I've thought of possibly make the videos longer. Problem is the longer I stay recording the longer it takes me to install parts lol. Maybe when it gets cooler outside we could probably stand to spend more time in the garage.
1st mistake I saw in the video: bought a snap-on tool and not a Matco one ;)
Hello, what turbo has your car, single or twin scroll?
I believe the FP Red for the WRX/STi is a single scroll turbo. But I'll double check and let you know if it's different.
Single scroll pretty sure
What's difference between single scroll or twin scroll.
Anthony!!!

+tzxsr Awesome. The 08 STI was my first STI. I love the wagon. Yeah if you ever see us come say what's up.
Do you post somewhere whenever you know that there is a car meet?
We just randomly decided on if we do end up going to a car meet so normally it's pretty last min if we deiced to go.
That pipe doesn’t separate the dump valve, not good
It's externally gated 🤦♂️🤦♂️
