Fantastic adventure flight Mark. That was super to watch. Loving the low level footage, one of my fave parts of flying. Best view of the M25, from above it rather than on it! Glad you all went for it.
fantastic adventure indeed. But i would rather be with me feet on the ground at all times. The fact that gravity is always on is making me shet myself all most everytime I am over 3m high :))
@@markallisonparamotor did you expected a helicopter to say hi and turn you back or did you expected to be shoot?:) be honest:)) how would you describe a traffic stop to a parachute with engine?
Just started watching paramotor videos on RUclips and really enjoying your videos. It certainly makes me want to try it! Ive tried searching but do you have a video on how to start paramotoring and the kind of things to consider when starting off?
@@markallisonparamotor good advice, I got the same advice from a guy that runs paramotor training in South Wales. Out of interest how much weight are you having to run with on take off as it seems like a fair bit.
Ally pally is used as one of the VRP for helis going into London or passing around to the east . Ally pally Vauxhall bridge, then H4 along the river to Battersea heliport. But think you saw some further north. Generally straight line A to B time is money etc. See the odd paramotor once and awhile.

Great video. I assume you are aware of the airspace regulations in that part of North London. That corridor is often called MIG Alley. BTW my plane GOOPY appears in Terry’s videos. Subscribed.
Hi, of course, I use SkyDemon and always observe the ANO. Didn't know it was called MIG Alley! We were there quite late in the evening so there was very little GA about. Thanks for dropping by and the sub! I watch all Terry's videos. 😁
@markallisonparamotor! You’re a legend! The ability to fly is truly something special-it changes everything. I could never imagine lifting my feet off the ground for more than a moment, let alone going higher than 3 meters. I think the reason you’re only reaching 30 m/h might be due to a canopy that’s too soft. But hey, I’m just an admirer... I can’t build anything that works, let alone something that can fly! :))
Having just found your YT videos i have got a serious itch to get into paramotoring. Any suggestions for a school? And what is your current wing classification?
Yes, ufly4fun.co.uk at Wingland Airfield, ask for Mike Chilvers. Or Clive Mason at cmparamotors.com. I have three wings at the moment all ranging from beginner to advanced :)
@@markallisonparamotor it definitely worked, a few at the training field started also from your videos. Simon Westmore got me the kit, picked it up today. Super happy with it, hopefully get to fly it up there tomorrow if the winds do as they are expected. Thank you Mark keep the videos coming!
@@markallisonparamotor you think i should consider flying to romania with that in a weekend? I am really counting on the earth rotation to gain some good velocity :)) Im joking but I think is not so challenging to do.
Is it a good idea to fly there? I mean London is full of class D airspaces which you can't enter without clearance which i doubt you can get considering you are flying a paramotor. There is also class A from 2500 ft which you can't enter at all because it's only for IFR traffic. Also there will be probably a LOT of VFR traffic inside the class G where you fly.
I think it's a fabulous idea, which is why I did it. I'm well aware of the airspace, which blew my mind we could get so close without being in controlled airspace. VFR traffic drops off dramatically after 7pm, and we only saw two helicopters on the entire flight. No light planes at all...
Flying into wind with trims out at altitude is more inefficient than descending and flying trims in. When flying nil or tailwind, trims in is always more efficient than trims out. i.e. better range.
@@markallisonparamotor into wind you always want max trims and it's not always lower wind speed lower down, check the balloon forecast and real time figures. You're right with a tailwind. But nil wind check your wing. Some wings are better trimmed out km/L if you run the stats

my dude.. exoect faa to give you a generous fine and drag you to court only for this video. You think London space is free to fly? all most no where never mind over central area. Honestly I am surprized nobody shoot you down, Someone from the council. and when you crashing.. They will only ask you for some money and then let you take a train back home. No seriously.. London has chanced a lot since the last 10 years. For example we have now a lot of austerity. Just land you will see what I mean :))
Hahaha... no laws broken here 😂 Yeah London changes on a yearly basis. When I first lived there, the only tower on the Isle of Dogs was the Canary Wharf, 1 Canada Square tower.
I’m going to my motor paragliding course soon ! Can you fly over London City with approval from Airspace Control and city counsel ? Can you call them while you are flying ?
If you have a FRTOL license and contact Atc, you can ask but I would guess transponder would be mandatory and you would be denied. You could try it though and let us know the outcome. 😁

Im surprised with such a sublime video, and curious that you had not use the strobe from the start, amazing views non the less. ❤💯
Thanks, the strobe is not that effective unless close to sunset. Yes the views were amazing!
Great video, that’s a lot of fun for not a lot of money! Brilliant.
Yeah that was a good one. Thanks
FANTASTIC video. Great shots and great flight!
Great video. You are setting the bar high my friend. Love the edits. 🪂

Great flight.
Thanks for posting.
This is a right way to go sightseeing. Amazing🔥
That was such a great idea, firstly I thought it was in the CTR for LCY but it's not, brilliant.
We were right up against the CTR, so pushing it a little but definitely within the ANO. It was a fun one!
Thanks for sharing Mark Absolutely brilliant as always.
Very welcome
Love it - another wonderful adventure! Amazing that we all made it back. We are blessed.
Totally!
Great video again, spectacular views of London and Alexandra Palace
I had to pinch myself that it was real.
It was a fun trip, seeing London from that close without going into any airspace was amazing 😊
Yes it was! Don't know why we haven't done it sooner!
stunning view

They are Hunter strobes.
Great video, thanks

where does controlled airspace start from the north and what height must you be?
Starts just south of Ally Pally and you have to be below 2500' leading up to it.

Depends where you live I highly recommend Mike Chilvers at Wingland Airfield. www.ufly4fun.com/ or Clive Mason at cmparamotors.com/
Brilliant post. You flew over my partner near Barnet. If you ignore the controlled airspace issues, you could fly over me in Battersea!
