Being a killer main and owning them all, along with being a survivor player, I can honestly say that the best way to choose the best perks in order to "win" is to just honestly have fun and learn what your play style is. Too many people take the game far too seriously to the point where they hinder any progress on becoming better. For one, I learned that I don't focus on gen progress much, so I ran jolt not for the fact that it hinders progress, but for the scare factor.
This. This is exactly how I play the game. I find myself either getting downed or being the final survivor, so I started running things like left behind, flip-flop, unbreaking (that one bill perk)
As a new huntress main on PC here is my build I'm running right now in Ash |||: Jolt, sloppy butcher, iron grasp and scrounge hook

Lethal also helps killers (like Nemesis, Shape, & Oni) that need to Interact with Survivors, in some way, to Progress, Improve, or even use their Power

I think Hex: Plaything and Hex: Pentimento were worth mentioning since you picked the killers with their respective perks. Pentimento is a bit niche outside of being paired with plaything, but plaything can really help you learn totem spots while playing killer since you get up to 4 of 5 each game, which is helpful knowledge to transfer to survivor gameplay. I'd also mention Deathslinger as a killer worth getting for his perks, but mainly for synergies like Dead Man's Switch with SH:PR and Retribution with Plaything. Also worth mentioning that Tinkerer is pretty uncontestably the best teachable of all 15 base teachable perks, and the others are good with certain builds or characters at best.

other thing about HEX: Undying is if a survivor blesses a dull totem you will know where that boon is or you can even prevent them from blessing it since you will see the survivors' auro who get close to a dull totem
Hex plaything is a good slow down too as they have to play with oblivous or search around for a totem. It also helps that the oblivous person has to do it for the first ~90 secs

God I love your videos. I have been playing IDV for a long time now but I kept seeing your videos on RUclips shorts and it actually sort of inspired me to get the game, I just got it yesterday and am not completely clueless because of my prior IDV experience but still not used to the game, so these videos are so useful!
sloppy butcher is a really good perk if you want to find survivors easier cause it increases the blood amount of a survivor so if they try to get away from you while injured you can find them easily a good perk in my opinion.
Kinda good but also annoying for survivors for they have spend more time and if the killer comes and they run it just puts there healing back to zero 🤧😂
Definitely a decent perk, especially now that hemorrhage makes survivors lose heal progress, but sloppy butcher is a universal perk, anyone can get it from the moment they buy the game

I think the artist with lethal pursuer is deadly because at the start of the game you can put crows on everyone 😅
I have to say that one of my favourite perks is The Hillbilly’s Lightborn perk. I know not many people use it, but I always use it because it renders flashlights and other forms of blinding completely useless. I combine Lightborn with Brute Strength and Enduring.
theres a perk called walls that lets you do that without wasting a perk slot

Like others have said, look at walls. But when you’re blinded when kicking a pallet, use your ears to hear which way they are running. If the volume of the sound of their footsteps between the L and R speakers of your headphones is equal, then you’re going in the right direction.
I use it as well, just so i dont have to worry abt being blinded, its very annoying

My first was Bubba purely for bbq and chili because I felt like going for a bloodpoint farming build first would be the most efficient.
I conbine the first Perk you said for ghost face and power surge(everytime you Put a survivor into the dying State every generator in 32 meters around you will explore and loose 8% of its proggress)who are my main perks for Ghost face
I reckon it was probably worth mentioning save the best for last, considering its not even a hex perk and easy to get stacks.

2:38 VERY IMPORTANT TO NEW PLAYERS: in the most recent patch BBQ & chili no longer give double bloodpoints (because the devs are stupid) SO DO NOT BUY THIS KILLER!!!!
edit: 8:50 Hex:Ruin also got destroyed in this latest patch making it regress at only default regression speeds, so again, don't waste your BP.
in Hex:Ruin's place i'd recommend getting doctor for overcharge instead, since overcharge, after kicking a generator, regresses at default speeds, but quickly ramps up to 400% regression speed over the course of a measly 30 seconds (5 of which you could simply camp the gen forcing it to reach greater regression)

Overcharge has been changed now it will start with 75% and after 12 seconds it will be better than the normal 100% the maximum is 200% after 30 seconds it pretty much nerfs you if you use it without call of brine

No I believe Leatherface was the only one with a Bonus BP perk and now there will be 0 perks that give bonus BP like that but they also buffed the amount of bloodpoints you get by playing normal overall you need to pay 70% less bloodpoints now I think
I completely agree with this video, plague was my first killer to level up from otz darva and her corrupt intervention IS GOD TIER, however for me infectious fright was never useful so i put in the perk that lets me see survivors for a few sec at the start of a game

@@assburner1687I suggest trying out dark devotion sometime if u aren’t using it on like a stealth killer or mobile fast killer cuz idk its pretty op and underrated heavily
coming from a plague main, pairing corrupt intervention and whispers is insanely powerful and guarantees me at least 2 downs in the first few minutes of a trail

imo pig is one of the best licensed killers to buy early on she has both surveillance and make your choice which are two consistently perma-meta perks that are really good for beginners and high mobility killers.
As someone who has every single killers, gameplay wise my favorites are:
The Legion
The Spirit
The Cenobite
The Legion is my all time favorite but he/she is hard to use and its taken me awhile to get used to and figure out how to work The Legion but once you get the hang of it he/she are very easy to use and I’ve at least get 1/2 kills every game.
I have all killers too, my favourites are
The shape
The ghostface
The blight
The executioner
Demogorgon
As you can tell I like stealth killers a lot and ghostface would probably be my main

i think for the starter killers billy and nurse have pretty good perks espicially nurses calling and tinkerer thats what i personally unlocked first.
Brutal Strength and Aggressive is gonna be a solid beginning too. And Wraiths bloodhound perk helps learn how to track by blood instead of scratch marks.

I want u to reconsider nemesis lethal persuer (idk how to type it) but it’s pretty huge for pressure since most work is done in the early game, this perk helps alot
I have 1000 hours in this game and have all teachables yet enjoy watching these videos
I always thought hex totems would be busted until I started using them as a killer. I've had Hex Devour cleansed in the first minute of the game more times than I have ever gotten 3 tokens on it.
In the 10 times that I've used it, I've never gotten three tokens. It always gets cleansed after two. So I stopped using hexes all together. In red ranks hexes are essentially wasted perk slots, in my personal experiences.

I have some random passive ideas for killers (please read all before you criticize)
Pyramid Head (executioner)
So considering how strong pyramid head is canonically and how he grabs his victims in his movies and games, I would hope to maybe see pyramid head pick up a downed survivor from their neck. I would assume if they added this that it would be the same for taking survivors out of lockers. I doubt they would add this regardless but I would like to mention that if he grabs them from their neck and brings them to the hook that it would injure their down state 50% - 100% faster than if the survivor is just bleeding out. I also think the mori should be changed to something like that of what happened to the ginger lady in the first movie except for removing the clothes and being a little less gory (this is because the current mori doesn't make sense)
The Artist
change the pick up animation from a normal pick up to something to do with her crows. Maybe one of her giant crows can grab the survivor from their clothes and put it on the Artist's back. (anything that would have to do with crows seems right)
The Nemesis
Picks up survivor with his tentacle
(Armored Titan, War-hammer Titan)
change the mori animations to something canon with aot
(Michael myers (the shape), (maybe ghost face) )
always start the game with a female survivor obsession, if there is no female survivor then it picks at random.
Freddy Krueger (the nightmare)
completely rework his ability or significantly buff his ability.
The trapper
make his mori have something to do with ability (bear traps)
The Pig
make her mori have something to do with the reverse bear trap
the wraith
just change his mori (its so bad)
the hillbilly, cannibal (leatherface)
make their mori animations less similar
the doctor
change his ability or buff it
make his mori somewhat bloody
the plague
i really like this killer but for the love of god please just change the mori, the mori is simply not good nor gory mory
(ALSO make it so the corpses after mori animations actually look like what happened to it, I got this idea from the demogorgans mori)
Sadako (mori)
basically just vecna killing people (make use of her tvs)

I'd like to say that Ruin combines with Legions iri mix tape are broken when used together. The mix tape regresses generators, I'm just not sure if the regression speed stacks with ruin.

Before my gamepass expired I've recently been using lightborn/Agitation/Iron Grip/ and the prek that makes me break stuff 20% faster. It allows me to completely ignore blinding and carry the survivors away fast and withiut trouble I have been looking for who has the instant down when carrying and now that I know it's trickster with starstruck I'll definitely get him whenever I get my game pass again
I agree mostly with the killer choices but using devour to learn a killer is kind of counter intuitive since that perk covers up for your mistakes moreso than rewarding good gameplay
I also recommend myers because he has STBFL and play with your food but they are harder to use for newer killers
PWYF is really bad rn but STBFL is definitely a good perk. I’d agree tho it’s not good for beginners :)

Because all of Freddy's perks are shit. Come on dude let's be real, Blood Warden isn't as good as streamers make it out to be. It might work well, but that's only WHEN it works, otherwise you're running a game with 3 perks, and for the chance of it to not even work because survivors play it safe and 99 gates
That's fair, Blood Warden really is a meme perk and fire up is alright but only on certain killers like Myers, I am a massive Nightmare on Elm Street fan so I bought freddy just to find out that it's the fucking shit reboot freddy, and knowing that his powers aren't well adapted and shit. So basically Freddy is just so frustrating to play as. I wish they could bring '84 freddy to the game.
@@r3gret432 Oh yeah. Freddy is one of, if not THE most boring killers in the game both to play as, and against. And it's a damn shame too, his nightmare realm looks cool af, up until it starts to get visually nauseous and eye aching, and literally doesn't do anything game changing
Deathslinger should possibly also be noted with DMS and Retribution.
Just got a 4k with 3 Mori's as Legion just because of Devour being in a good location, usually it's destroyed in a few seconds.
Just shows how good Devour is and how bad totem spawns can be.
I get why you said the whole only counting perks thing, but do remember that some killers are absolute bloodpoint machines compared to others. Like doctor and ghostface I've noticed give stupid amounts of bp
Doctor is also my go-to for grinding blood points, glad I'm not the only one.
Overall some good opinions, and I'm glad to see that Blood Favor is finally being acknowledged.
But what brings this video and it's opinions down is that you didn't mention buying Demogorgon. I don't think you understand just how powerful Mindbreaker and Cruel Limits are.

i would say that surge is demos only really good perk.
and i am not saying the other 2 are terrible, i’m just saying that they don’t really, do much in my opinion.
firstly cruel limits is just…. not good. it doesn’t do anything. yes, it blocks windows within a certain range, but at what cost? survivors aren’t going to vault after doing a gen (unless you are there) but if you are coming then, well survivors can still use pallets as cruel limits doesn’t block pallets. and plus, if survivors do gens at the other side of the map from where you are, cruel limits basically has no effect what so ever. i just think cruel limits is just not good.
and for mindbreaker, it’s pretty mediocre. personally i’d say that what it does, could be a little bit better. the exhaustion and blindness are pretty decent don’t get me wrong. but what does it help with. yes if survivors get downed you can’t see them, but most of the time the killer will just pick them up, hook them, and you can see the survivors bubble anyways. and the exhaustion, the only real good thing the exhaustion helps with is if you are creeping up on the survivor and you know where they are so they can’t like sprint burst away or whatever. and tbh, they’ll just get the exhaustion back anyways. so i’d say mindbreaker isn’t a terrible perk, but tbh i just don’t think it’s all too good. easily counterable.

You don’t need to buy demo to get his perks anymore. Since the video is only about perks and demo’s perks are basically Base kit like sloppy butcher now, there’s no need to buy even if you could.
You can argue then that demo is a fun killer to play and worth considering a buy for that, but that’s not the point of the video

Yea done a ghost face speed build and it was insane I put add ons where when he was chasing a stalked person he got a speed buff which was insane
My opinion, plague should be first. Her 3rd perk dark devotion is actually pretty decent and her perks are great and pretty easy to use

One really good killer build could be Iron Grasp, Agitation, Awakened Awareness, and Starstruck.
I recently bought All-Kill chapter and I'm shocked at how good The Trickster is, he is one of the more fun killers and I really like his perks.

Hex: Third Seal is severely underrated, it has gotten me multiple kills on several occasions. If the totem gets cleansed or if they get disoriented or miss the initial hook notification, it is not uncommon for survivors to have trouble finding their teammates on hook. It feels like it barely does anything, but until it gets cleansed it definitely can do a number behind the scenes

Ok , if you want to have fun , from my knowledge on dbd mobile , these are the most fun killers to play as: scratch mirrors Myers and a indoor map offering . Ghost face, Huntress with extra Hatchett add-ons, Wraith with the iridescent silent bell addon , Billy with silent chainsaw after chainsaw sprinting for 2 seconds addon and a open out door map offering so you can go across , around the map super fast .

In my opinion, The Shape is the best licensed killer to Prestige first. He comes with two of the best perks in the game. Play With Your Food gives you more movement speed every time you chase your Obsession and let them go, but you lose a token for every basic attack, and Save The Best For Last gives you attack cooldown for every attack on a survivor that is not your obsession. Combined, in Tier III, Myers has some of the best chase potential on survivors, especially if you run something like Unrelenting.
The thing is that mainly for Myers, also you lose 2 tokens not 1 for hitting the obsession, not all killers benefit from this, the killers that benefit the most are the slow ones, meaning chuck this on Nurse, now add Devour Hope and Undying as well and you've turned broken nurse to "get me out this fucking game i cant bear to playing against the nurse anymore, im going fucking insane, i fucking hate her, get me the fuck out"
The first killer I bought was ghost face the second one the Legion. I don't regret anything. I love playing ghost face.
I think legion has good perks. Iron Maiden, open lockers faster and people get out of them and they make a noise. Mad grit, no cool down when carrying so any one doing flashlight saves or body blocking can be downed really fast. And I know there is a perk ( which I forgot the name) where if 2 or more survivors are on a generator it makes a noise notification and makes it appear white or yellow( as I said can’t remember)

In my opinion I think you go in order like trapper, wraith, etc
In present meta after the recent 6.2 update a couple Killer main friends have been relentlessly complaining about Survivors stacking on gens and Discordance off of Legion feeling necessary in most games now. My own experiences even as Legion I haven't felt that, but I'm not sure if that would affect Legion being a more interesting priority to look into for perks. Iron Maiden is also really nice if people like playing Huntress, Dredge, or Trickster and want lockers to go faster.

Nemesis was my first. Lethal goes with almost anything. Artis was early for pain res also and Hag because I like hex builds.
Almost all of the perks that are from killers that I don't have, came into the shard shop. So I have most of them will h a few exceptions.
i wouldve added legions perk where the gen is marked if more than 1 person works on it i personally always use it

If you want to get technical almost all the characters are free just not the newer ones because you can still buy them with Eridscent shards
Ghostface is fun to start and some survivors love to play against Ghostie
Discordance mad grit and iron maiden are all worth mentioning
iron maiden from legion, it helps the trickster and huntress for picking their throw weapons easily and it also insta down survivors that just hide

Survivor: I’d still go with a laurie. DS is kinda weak rn but they will probably buff it soon
Killer: I’d either go with Myers for STBFL or Pinhead for Deadlock (food slowdown perk) and Hex: Plaything (really good to slowdown gens if you pair it with Hex: Pentimento)
I got Clown first but it wasn't for his perks it was because I saw I video of someone doing mori's with him and I thought it was his power but now that I have more killers I use pop goes the weasle lots
In my opinion personally i say buy what killer u want but make sure you do research on the killer and watch videos and figure out a good playstyle for him. And ofc know how to play. Either way over time u will adjust to the killer.
