If installing ubuntu-cleaner comes up that it can't be found, you need to run: "sudo apt install software-properties-common" then add the PPA :"sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gerardpuig/ppa". Then you can do your apt install to get it installed.

It wouldn’t allow me to install Ubuntu-cleaner. It there another option?
$ sudo apt install software-properties-common

$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install ubuntu-cleaner
Along Tlp you can use cpu-auto freq.
Do we need tlp for batter battery in ubuntu 22.04 cause it already has a power managment tool pre installed. Please let me know.

Im runnin Ubuntu on a 2009 mac and after doing these the firefox is running extremely slow and my mouse is lagging...any suggestions for any of these I should not do or reverse any I did?

go to this directory
/etc/default/grub
then look for the lines where you have
GRUB_DEFAULT and GRUB_TIMEOUT and set the values as 0
