- Salento Colombia Traveling the Cocora Valley - Travel Guide 2022. The Cocora Valley in Salento, Colombia (The Gateway to the Cocora Valley) is home to the world's tallest palm trees. Salento is a very popular destination for backpackers and tourists as it sits right in between Bogota and Medellin making it a perfect place to stop when in transit to one of these destinations.Positioned in the "Coffee Triangle" Salento, offers many things to do, coffee farm tours and more. This colorful town and vibrant and safe. In this video I will take you along a beautiful hike through the Cocora Valley.
Salento, Villa De Leyva, and Barichara are the three towns that Disney visited and relied on to film "ENCANTO"

El valle del cocora es patrimonio de la humanidad desde 2011, allí hay gran variedad de fauna y flora es el hábitad del loro orejiamarillo que vive el las copas de los árboles de las palmas de cera, aveces aparece el cóndor de los Andes también es la puerta de entrada al parque nacional de los nevados.
