OMG....It is so breathtaking, but I cannot do what you guys did. I am truly petrified of heights, especially when cliffs with serious drops are involved. It is beautiful, though, and I am glad you shared the video with us (me).
Hi guys, what an awesome experience and such a beautiful scenery, I miss my beautiful country Colombia 🇨🇴 already, thanks so much for the video, I'm from Medellin, I moved to USA when I was 20 years old, now I'm 63 years old and Colombia it's been always in my heart, I visited 10 years ago and can't wait to go back, greetings from USA 🇺🇸 🙏🇨🇴♥️✌️
I left Colombia very young due to the violence and have only gone back twice since. It has been almost 8 years since the last time and I cannot wait to go back. Had my trip booked for last january but covid almost killed me. Spent christmas , new years and my bday in the hospital lol. Anyway, your videos bring a smile to my face. Because no matter what happened many years ago I always have the best memories of my beautiful country. I am so happy that through videos like yours people are able to see the good side of Colombia. Gladly I just saw my pulmonologist and he said that I am lucky because the new ct scan shows my lungs have made quiet the comeback :).so def hope I can visit soon. Keep up the amazing work!
Great video guys, best one from Colombia. I hear next stop is Cocora Valley, I know it will be a great experience. As a Colombian, I thank you for showing that part of my country that not many outside of Latin America know. Colombia is way more than violence, drugs and that series on Netflix. And Diego, is a fine example how Colombians really are, courteous and extremely friendly.
Thanks so much! We really enjoyed creating this one even though it was a beast! Diego is such an amazing person and new friend 💜 We are super psyched for the Cocora Valley hike 😍
Los felicito por este video tan hermoso, muy cálido, muy bien elaborado, muestran los paisajes de una manera maravillosa. En verdad que es uno de los mejores videos que he visto de Colombia.
Hi Sammy and Tommy …! Amazing video , breath taking landscapes of Cócora Valley, you look great as cowboys and you are giving an idea to my girlfriend and to me today of what to do in my last day visiting Quindio ! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks so much! It is such a beautiful area 😍 We felt like naturals being cowboys for the day. You guys should definitely do the tour! What an amazing time 😁
That grazing area rotation that you spoke of is an ancient way of cultivating grazing land that is very powerful. It has been used to revegetate completely barren areas in as little as two years, because certain areas naturally depend on grazing animals to eat the grass and then deficate, which is then a sustainable cycle. It's been used to reclaim desertified areas in Africa to great effect. It's amazing sustainability.
What a wonderful way to see the beautiful countryside of Columbia, on horseback! Diego, your guide was amazing and very informative. Keep going with your incredible adventures in Columbia!

At 15:43, that's a heliconia, which shouldn't be confused with strelitzia, which is commonly known as the bird of paradise flower. But I must say that I've never seen a heliconia quite like that...that's what happens when one is trouping around Columbian cloud forests...you're going to see something unique. BTW, in those types of rainforests, there are humming birds that are specifically evolved to feed from and to pollenate those exact heliconias. They have a specifically shaped beak that fits the flower.
Another great video. You two do the most incredible trips. Love that you always find time in the cities but also take time to slow down and show us the beauty of this earth. Thanks so much for sharing.

I don't know if you are still here in Colombia but it would be amazing if you could be here to spend the night of candles on December 7, this date is special for us during the Christmas holidays. Whether in the cities or in the towns it is beautiful, many Colombians gather to light candles at night and the streets look beautiful
This looks amazing 😍 Thanks for the awesome suggestion! We already looked at pictures and would love to make it back for the candles! If we do where in particular would you recommend? We saw pictures of Medellin and it looked spectacular but we might want more of a small town feel.
@@SammyandTommy I could suggest these towns Villa de Leyva, Guadalajara de Buga, Quimbiaya or in Boyaca where there is a bridge which is part of our history. You can also see beautiful lights and I can recommend typical Christmas food such as lechona, tamales, buñuelos and and natilla I heard in Medellin and its surroundings will be lights themed on the Disney movie Encanto which is inspired by our culture but wherever you want to go for these dates is fine and the important thing is that you have a good time
Hi Sammy and Tommy, I am a Colombian transplanted in Oklahoma and I confess I've never been there. Thanks for showing my homeland to the world. Good Job!!! Now, you should go to the Colombian Amazonian, Leticia!!!
I'm a Colombian born 53 year old guy which my parents are immigrants from cali.colombia i grew up in Toronto, canada now live in Florida becoming successful business man here in Florida, strange thing i have never been outside of valle de cauca region im booking a tour of Colombia. Later this year with my family great videos.
Gahhh that’s literally my backyard! I was born and raised in Armenia and cócora is 25 min away from me! Yayy I’m so happy you guys were able to experience the REAL Colombia, not what tv and shoes portray it to be ❤
What a breathtaking scenery... so green and peaceful... great idea to make a horse ride.... did you see the wax palm trees in the Cocora Valley that are located in the main park (it has a place with a sign from what i remember and its full of them)?... great experience especially with a wonderful guide....
At around 17:00, I was thinking to say that when you see epiphytes (like the moss on the trees), you see a healthy forest, when you pointed out a large-leafed epiphytic plant that I can't identify for sure but it must have been a type of philodendron. It was low-growing for an epiphyte (epiphytic philodendrons are known to tolerate low-light conditions), and the reason it had such large leaves is that it takes more leaf-space to capture light below the canopy.
Gran video. Vivo en California pero no veo la hora de volver a Colombia. Les recomiendo si vuelven a Colombia ir al "HATO LA AURORA" en Casanare. Abrazos !!

I've seen that jeeps are called 'Willys' in various other global locations. Is it likely that that comes from the WWII to Korean War jeeps being made by the Willys Corporation?
Es cierto, fueron Willis, traídos a bajos precios y por las condiciones de nuestra topografía han sido importantes para el desarrollo de las regiones montañosas de Colombia, especialmente del eje cafetero y Antioquia.
I've put this question to many of the RUclips world traveler peeps that I follow. What do you think about travelling in US Department of State Level 3 Reconsider Travel areas? I figure that the travel advisories should come with their own advisories.
