I bought myself a Sentro for Christmas. I love it! I saw a helpful tip on another channel that helps with knowing when the white peg is coming up. If you take black magic marker and colour the post directly in front of that white peg, you can see it coming from a mile away. I did it on my machine and I can vouch for how effective it is! Thanks for posting the video. I look forward to more!
Oh how much I miss my Christmas mornings when my kids opened their gifts.I enjoyed your knitting machine demo. I'm a granny who has crocheted everything under the sun, so I was just longing to speed things up by making some easy hats. Why? I'm extremely old, don't have many more crochet years left. Eyesight going, but I think your machine looks like fun. Thank you from the California valley. I guess you can teach an old dog...
It’s so fun! I watched a video where someone made mittens with it yesterday. I wouldn’t have thought you could do something that small. I don’t think I’m on that level yet though. Lol
You have by far given the best tutorial on the sentro that I have watched. You are and your family are delightful. My sentro comes in a few days. I can hardly wait for it to be delivered and try it out
I love your clear explanations and your sense of humour. This was very helpful about the difference between loom knitting and the machine as I was weighing up the pros and cons of buying them. Thank you so much for this post.
My first one i got for Christmas too but it was broken waiting for my new one! Can't wait! The anticipation is killing me! Thank you thank you thank you again

Good tutorial! Looks fun and simple too. 2 minor thoughts: If you started and ended with the same colour, both crowns would be the same and your locking stitches would be invisible. And to tuck away the tail, I would leave it on the needle, push needle down hole you used for losing the tail-end and com out through knitting several inches down, cut off close to knitting and tail-end will disappear inside. I seen a tictok of this going fast Thought it was industrial machinery. But that is Cool. The real question is do you consider those to be Beanie or a Toboggan?
@@TheReslers I wouldn't say beanie. To me a beanie is short and against your head. I call those shorter ones a goobalini in New Jersey 😂 Some call those long ones a stocking cap.

There is a 40 pin sentro which I think would be way better for baby hats. Even on the tightest tension, I think a hat from the 48 would be too big. That’s just my very unprofessional opinion though LOL
I've been thinking about getting this machine..but all I see are people making hats!!
I think because that’s the easiest thing. I made a scarf today and it was scary to move on lol!
Does it make only hats? How many hats do you need? I'll watch again to see if there is something different.
There is a lot more than hats that can be made, I’m just not smart enough to know how to do it yet 😂🤪. I did make a scarf earlier today.
I got mine for Christmas a few years ago, I made a ton of hats for my family…I plan to do hats for the cancer hospital next
Please explain WHY you hold the stitch down (so that you have 2) on the needle when you change colors.
if someone has answer, tag me also! imo its pointless, i made it without holding down, 2 knots and works just fine!
Calumet Knits has a really good explanation of the knit 2 together technique: ruclips.net/video/IdKaqXrMQIQ/видео.html
@@TheReslers thank you! I checked her out and it's really nice!
Bubby must have a huge head, because dang that hat looks huuge.
Coincidently he does 😂. That one is looser though- I’m still learning!
I got mine today but I can't get mine off correctly
I learned that part by watching Sharon Lee’s video. Try starting at the 6 minute mark. ruclips.net/video/1Loo25bPk8A/видео.html
Are you going anti-clockwise???
I am turning the handle clockwise. Sorry that wasn’t clear .
Where did you buy machine? Some of them on Amazon look like knock offs.
My husband got it on Amazon for me for Christmas. This is the one he got, which seems to be out of stock at the moment : 48 Needles Knitting Machines with Row Counter, Smart Knitting Round Loom for Adults/Kids, Knitting Board Rotating Double Knit Loom Machine Kits a.co/d/5LXS0ts
Hi where did you get your Pom Poms ?
Good morning! I got those on Amazon. The craft store poms here are super expensive! They want $3-5 for one. That’s just insanity to me.
Where did you buy it ?????
Amazon
Ok thank you
I seen a tictok of this going fast Thought it was industrial machinery. But that is Cool. The real question is do you consider those to be Beanie or a Toboggan?
I say toboggan and Dustin says I’m crazy 😂. He says beanie. What do you call it?
@@TheReslers Well we have always called them toboggans. However that terms comes from the French but Canadians call them tongue's
@@TheReslers I wouldn't say beanie. To me a beanie is short and against your head. I call those shorter ones a goobalini in New Jersey 😂 Some call those long ones a stocking cap.
@@traceyifversen6109 I am loving learning about the regional terms for this!
Where do you get the poof balls
Type in fur pom poms on Amazon. So much cheaper than at the craft store! I have also seen some tutorials on here for how to make them from furry fabric
Can you show us how to make a Dickey on your machine .I have been looking for a pattern for my machine and can't fine one I would pay for a pattern. Thank you . PS email me thank you yes I'm a granny of just 3 but love them all.
Hi Patricia. I wish I could show you, but I’m new to this too and haven’t learned that yet. I hope you find a good pattern soon!
