    I bought myself a Sentro for Christmas. I love it! I saw a helpful tip on another channel that helps with knowing when the white peg is coming up. If you take black magic marker and colour the post directly in front of that white peg, you can see it coming from a mile away. I did it on my machine and I can vouch for how effective it is! Thanks for posting the video. I look forward to more!

    Oh how much I miss my Christmas mornings when my kids opened their gifts.I enjoyed your knitting machine demo. I'm a granny who has crocheted everything under the sun, so I was just longing to speed things up by making some easy hats. Why? I'm extremely old, don't have many more crochet years left. Eyesight going, but I think your machine looks like fun. Thank you from the California valley. I guess you can teach an old dog...

    Good tutorial! Looks fun and simple too.
    2 minor thoughts:
    If you started and ended with the same colour, both crowns would be the same and your locking stitches would be invisible.
    And to tuck away the tail, I would leave it on the needle, push needle down hole you used for losing the tail-end and com out through knitting several inches down, cut off close to knitting and tail-end will disappear inside. Simples! Takes much longer to type or read than do, lol!

Am loving this knitting machine as it's the closest I will get to it, just gets frustrating to me, or it could have been my teacher, either way, I will stick to crocheting that I swear I can do while watching a movie. ❤

    Sounds like your hubby likes what we would call a Wee Willie Winky hat in Scotland (there's a funny poem about getting kids to bed) a bit like Dr Seuss's Cat in the Hat.
    I have a question: can you do other stitches like ribbing?

    • @TheReslers
      @TheReslers  Год назад

      Wee Willie Winky is my favorite name so far! So I’m far from an expert at this, but from what I’ve seen, it only does the stockinette stitch on its own. You can do other stitches, but they require a lot more input from the person using the machine (like wrap 2 needles, knit one, wrap 2 needles, knit one etc).

    • @TheReslers
      @TheReslers  Год назад

      Hi Tammy! I’m definitely not an expert, but I think it stays together because you tie the ends together. I think if you didn’t do that, it would definitely become a dropped stitch. Thanks for watching!

    Instead of using the blunt end of your “tapestry needle” to “push it”, consider using a crochet hook, a few rows down, going up to the point to grab the ends of yarn to hide it, maybe

    This was a youtube suggestion and I’m so glad I clicked on it. Great explanation very informative! Never knew I’d like one of these lol. So if you wanted to make an infant hat or a small child baby hat do you still need this machine or is there another one for smaller sizes?

    • @TheReslers
      @TheReslers  Год назад

      There is a 40 pin sentro which I think would be way better for baby hats. Even on the tightest tension, I think a hat from the 48 would be too big. That’s just my very unprofessional opinion though LOL

      Estoy usando Google Translate para esto, así que espero que puedas entender el español. Probé el método descrito a continuación para traducir este video, y funcionó para mí. Para traducir este video al español:
      1. Inicie el vídeo.
      2. Haga clic en el icono de configuración (parece un engranaje).
      3. Haga clic en "Subtítulos" para activar los subtítulos
      4. A continuación, se le dará la opción de "Traducir automáticamente". Haga clic en "Traducir automáticamente", luego elija español.
      5. La traducción de los subtítulos será automática, por lo que no estará en perfecto español, pero espero que puedas entender lo suficiente de los subtítulos en español para disfrutar tejiendo sombreros.
