Just had an idea for your project bags. The cotton ones would be great for storing your flower bulbs in winter. Also for keeping garlic bulbs , ginger tubers, shallot bulbs etc. They would look great hanging on hooks on the kitchen wall ready at hand for use.

What a great idea! I seldom use knitted project bags because the points of the needles always poke through, however, the idea of using this bag for storing flower bulbs over winter is brilliant.

You could do a three needle bindoff and close the bag off at the same time.
I made kitty hats for charity with the maxi, too, and grafted the hat top with sewn knit stitches.
The brim of the hat was laid double and sewn around with a loose mattress stitch.
    So many possibilities.

Great entertainment watching you two 😄 But let's talk about kitchener stitch. What you used was not that, but I really suggest you use kitchener stitch to finish the bottom, it would look pretty and neat (and you would'nt have to bind of the bottom, just put the stitches on two needles or a round needle).

A few more suggestions… without the Icord you could simply close flat with stitches in each hole, then make multiple identical ones and sew them using a mattress stitch one next to the other in rows, then in widths and create a nice thick blanket. Also, one piece folded over, you could scrunch up one end by pulling on the yarn to tighten it up instead of finishing, then close the other end flat. Then sew half way starting at scrunched end toward the flat sewing and then turn inside out for a slipper/foot warmer. Another idea once both ends are closed is to fold in half, sew ends closed and add a button/snap/Velcro to close it and store cosmetics, use as a travel bag for toothbrush, toothpaste etc, or to bring some treats with you. Hope that helps to give further ideas and thank you for the wonderful tutorials.

I'm usually a crocheter but I know the basics from knitting. I knit by hand, no knitting machine. (Yet) 🙂
Just wanted to give you a tip.
Use a crocheting hook for the bindoff! Easier and faster. At least for me.
