"I like makeup, but that doesn't mean I'm incredible at it" mood
I felt that in my soul.
Me. Every dang day. 😂
This is me every time I put on makeup
literally me. it’s embarrassing bc i’m in my early 30s and didn’t really wear makeup until now. i might have used tinted moisturizer and occasionally used mascara and eyeliner but that’s about it. it feels like everyone because pros at applying makeup in the past few years and idk what i’m doing. i try to watch tutorials but they’re so above my skill level. i just want to learn! any recommendations for makeup beginner content?
@@ripwednesdayadams I wish I knew of a channel to recommend! I sometimes feel like I need to re-learn all over again just because I stopped wearing makeup. 😁 You are so lucky that there is more information out here now. Growing up as a teen in the 80's I had no clue. I had to learn from magazines and none of these people had my skin problems. Back then I didn't know they were using special filters to achieve a certain effect. I would never look like these pictures. I was always fascinated with makeup so I started in simple steps learning what looked good on me and what didn't by trial and error. The bottom line is I learned to appreciate what I had, accepted that not everything would look great on me and be comfortable in my own skin. Now I stick to simple SPF foundation, one or two eye colors, mascara and a great lipstick. At my age the goal is just to look healthy and be myself as much as possible. If I am going somewhere special I will glam up, but still keeping it way more simple than when I was in my 20's.
As a professional makeup artist and former educator Sephora and MAC, I say this with caution/self awareness and am aware these skills are second nature to me. But I truly believe a lot of these hacks make things more difficult. Especially eye liner. One of the things I've noticed after teaching the Sephora eyeliner specific class and have taught hundreds of students, is that almost 90% of the time their issues are either holding the liner too closely to the tip, or the angle of which they're holding/looking into their mirror. Most people are looking too straight ahead in a wall mounted mirror or are looking to far down with a compact. Practice does make perfect. If you notice the model in the lash curler hack had her head tilted back a bit and this Insider video editor was looking down into a mirror. So many hacks require you to just add more or corect what you did before. Also the white liner thing we almost never ever do in practice on models and during services. Just use concealer or micellar water and do you eyes before foundation
Interesting thank you
You did a great job. Remember all these "hacks" are probably from people who have been practicing the technic several times..... I'm personally still trying to figure out how to apply false eyelashes and I literally feel like you have to be a certain kind of person that I'm NOT to make it actually work 😂😆
Girl I can't get a pair of lashes on correctly to save my life!! I feel your pain
If you have to practice it to make it work I wouldnt call it a hack.
@@Min-Taro that's the point... the people who make the back videos want to make it look easy and effortless so they practice, but they're not being truthful
for the last 2, it has to be MATTE white liner. the shimmer one doesn't give the effect you want your liner or your lips to have.
3:18 i feel so bad for laughing i relate to that😆😆
your freckles are so cute
Thank you!!
Most of these so-called beauty hacks are so gimmicky and fussy that it looks actually easier not to bother. 😂
Exactly💀 they are suppose to make things easier, not harder
Sometimes I feel like people create these "hacks" for the sake of going viral. The first one is literally pointless lol
MAMACITAS FRECKLES ARE V CUTE AHHAAH I LOVE IT
thank you!
girl, you have the cute freckles that ppl are obsessively draw on.
they are tattoed on! lol
i love the hacks series!
What foundation did you use? It’s got a beautiful finish.
Makeup by Mario surreal!
@@CeliaSkvaril Thank you!
I've definitely been seeing spatula application for a bit, but it never occurred to me to actually try it! My face has some uneven texture so I feel like it wouldn't exactly help my case. I love the way it turned out for you though!
I haven't heard of using an eyelash curler for your wing, but I also don't curl my lashes. I definitely see the benefit of using a brush over the stick for this method!
For the last two, I don't even have a white eyeliner 🥲 I've heard of using concealer for touching up eyeliner, but I see how using a lighter shade would do more to highlight it, like with the lips.
Thanks for trying these out! Excited to see what's next ♡
yeah i tried the spatula one and as someone with acne, i feel like it didn’t rlly work great cause of the unevenness of the skin😔
The white needs to be matte for sure. I personally wouldn't use any of these, but thanks for trying them out for us! 😃
GREAT JOB! U HAVE MY SUPPORT FOR YOUR SUCCESS 💯 ٪
The white lip liner hack and the spatula foundation hack are decent. But you can clean up a wing 1000x easier with a brush and some Micellar water.
The white eyeliner above the lip would probably worn better if you applied it BEFORE the lipstick. I do something similar, but I use highlighter above my top lip.
They don’t know what to invent anymore.
Celia you are doing this much better than I did! I really like the lip hack, but the others didn't work well for me.
Loving the sincerity
This lady right there represented "the girls" and I'm proud 🙈
The problem with the eyeliner u used was that it was glittery you want a matter white ❤️❤️❤️
The last hack would not work the darker your skin becomes. I do the same thing with a thin, small brush and my concealor.
awesome hacks
What foundation did you use?so beautiful
Makeup by Mario!
We had an expression to describe someone wearing a lot of makeup, “Looks like they used a putty knife to put on their makeup.”
Or a spatula.
That first one looks like it would take more time than it’s worth
Unless you’re not a beginner
😮
Sooo they really start using spartulas now?
Some of these maybe beauty hacks that I wouldn't even waste my time with 🤪🤦🏻♀️🤩🤐🤔🥴🤷🏼♀️👎🏼 some of them look dangerous on some of them just isn't worth it I'll stick with the old-fashioned way.
Are those fake freckles or blackheads??? driving me nuts
They are freckles
The liner and the foundation is too thick. They definitely need to be more creamy and the foundation needs to be more fluid. Its not your fault. I suggest the nyx jumbo white liner
where's nico :(
Where’s your mom :(
Where’s your dad :(
Please do not use your teeth to open things, do not use your teeth to open things, you could chip your tooth over something unimportant
No way
Yes way
what happened to the other most hyped beauty products girl?
They're two separate series on the beauty insider channel :) Celia tests hacks and techniques and Nico tests products!
Can nico come back
Can you appreciate people for their differences
@@Jessicalovesmichael no
Please don't teach people to put crap on your face your skin is nice don't cover it up with stupid chalk paste
If you don’t like makeup, then this isn’t for you. Move along and go shit on something else.
Why press on a makeup video just to say people shouldn’t put on makeup?…
If you have to put that much shit on your face then you will never be satisfied with putting shit on your face. How about just try to be happy about your life. Find confidence another way
Is your refrigerator running
I want to find my confidence *this way*. I like color and things in my face. Can i get your permission? 🥺
