Reminds me of a Clionadh or Devinah single. Can’t remember which. I went through a faze of obsessively watching the multi chrome indie eyeshadows swatching vids a couple of years ago.
@@P_h_o_e_n_i_x it seems like it’s a good for someone with $125 to drop on a palette, and who wants to try the kind of finishes, textures, etc., that have been available in indie shadows for years. A lot of ppl don’t know much about indie brands, which are the best, and want the ease of shopping at Sephora. If someone just wants particular shades, then I’d suggest they buy from Clionadh or JD Glow, etc. Tho I get it’s not the easiest way to shop. Like when trying to decide which Clionadh shadows I wanted I watched a bunch of swatching. But also it’s amusing to see ppl loosing their minds over shadows that have actually been around for awhile. So many ppl sleep on indie eyeshadow. I never buy non indie shadows anymore bc the color stories have been done better by indie, and almost always have better formulas. Like I’m a colorful matte shadow wh0re and my indie mattes beat any high end shadow I’ve tried.
God damn that eyeshadow palette is high pigment. Looks very exciting to someone like me who loves bold colors but I wish it were about 1/5th of the price lmao
I love that this particular series does not rave about every trending product. Her reviews seem really genuine and authentic. Even though I've literally never heard of 100% of product she tries, if I were to ever try any of them it'd be based off of her opinions.
Wow that eye shadow pallette colors and how they look on the eye is absolutely beautiful! I wish I had somewhere to wear them. I always look forward to these videos. I think of all the products I'd buy the lip balm/ matte lipstick the shade you didn't like but I thought it looked good on you and looked comfy on the lips.
The prices of these products are outrageous, especially the first brand and the nail polishes. The only thing worth buying of all the products is the eyeshadow pallette because it works.
@@N08R76H It's $125, but it's worth that price. Also, the shadows inside are the kind most people won't be wearing everyday, so it's not like you'll need to replace it very often.
I'm surprised you liked the DM palette as much as you did. What I've heard from the beauty community is that the outside colors are fine, but the inside colors are incredibly hard to work with, therefore it's definitely not worth the price. However, they are comparing this palette to indie brands who can produce those amazing, saturated, very reflective colors easily without that enormous price tag. But I'm not sure if you venture into indie brands? And I LOVE those nail polishes!!
If you want similar colors to the eyeshadow palette you should check out the juvias place culture palette for $38 but ulta’s having a 20% off sale right now
Except the eyeshadow.....WHY IS EVERY BRAND PRICING THEIR PRODUCTS LIKE THEY ARE HIGH END!?? Shit formula and pigmentation for a huge price tag. Dissapointed. Great review video
Girl you are irreplaceable and this series is probs bringing in so much money to beauty insider so if you haven’t already DEMAND A RAISE get your bag bby
The DM palette is like Clionadh or Terra Moons but the DM palette has only 1 gram of product in smaller shades while the Clionadhs are 1.5g so while pretty, it's even more expensive than it looks! They other brands sell singles so you can get only colors you love. Like it's really pretty but if you don't have that kinda money, grab a single. From what I see they're black based? so like the Clionadh Jewelled line, but they have like 200 shades.
Yes, it's worth it if one can afford it and is into luxury makeup. The price tag is on par with other luxury makeup artist brands and pallettes--others by Danessa Myricks, Natasha Denona, Pat Mcgrath Labs etc. all make pallettes in this range.
Yep, the pigments really are that expensive. Duochromes, multichromes, and all the other effect pigments she uses are just gag-inducingly expensive. Some brands use dimethicone to sheer out their formulas and make them squishy and easier to work with, and also cheaper, but it ends up showing in the end. You can’t get that intense WOW without the corresponding intense pigment quantity. And DM is a brand similar to Pat McGrath; an editorial makeup artist who started her own brand, with similar prices. (By editorial, I just mean a particular kind of makeup look that’s often considered runway or fashion magazine specific, rather than a ready to wear daily style.) Remember: Sephora sells these brands, and if you’re Rouge you can get 20% off a few times a year.
@@khills good point about the sale--right now Sephora is having a 20% off season of giving sale for all beauty insiders, so even those that aren't rouge tier can get that discount.
Even in the fine art community duochrome pigments (for painting) are wildly expensive. Milling the texture would also add to the cost, and as others mentioned, the Danessa Merricks' brands doesn't skimp out with lots of fillers for their shadows.
I was _IN LOVE_ with the eyeshadow palette *_untill_* I saw the price lol... Then I suddenly didn't think it was all that lol (my inner scrooge said "nahhh" lol)
Am I the only person who doesn't think this is the best person to do reviews of cosmetics? Some questions I have get a answered, but I'm consistently left very, very unimpressed with the content. I totally understand that these videos aren't supposed to be selling anything, so, duh the reviews will never be played up. But I'm not even looking for anyone's opinion....just....better Fu!k it....y'all better watch out bc I'm about to get the "beauty" community all types of annoyed when I finally get content uploaded & can put out what I would call a REAL review.
The color payoff on that blue eyeshadow is breathtaking

it’s so beautiful 😭

This series is single-handedly keeping beauty insider going. Hope they’re paying grl accordingly, bc her vids are the only BI vids I watch.
Same. Pay this woman her due! She should just start her own channel. I love her vibe. ❤️
Same! I only watch her videos.
Yess!! I only subscribed for her lol
100% I would subscribe if she had her own channel, even if it was still technically a beauty insider channel
Dude same !!!!
The eyeshadow pallet is a thing of beauty 😍

have you every tried prados beauty?
What do you use to remove all this makeup though??
Amazing video
That palette is gorgeous but is it really worth that much? I'm just trying to think of what pigments they used to make it cost that much 😳
in my opinion no. I haven't tried it but some people have struggled with the middle row. If you're gonna pay $125, every shade should be perfect.
