I think its funny that phil tried to pretend he would have been fine with turkey tom's video if he just titled it differently like "10 years of decline" (phils suggestion) he would have complained about it exactly the same.
The narrative would be "10 years of DECLINE? whaaaaat? I'm more successful and meaningful to my audience than ever before, this video title is a lie!"

The "award" was a certification program EVERYONE at that company had to complete. So it means nothing. I am a US NAVY submarine veteran. I received the "award" of being qualified, thru training, to operate the USS GROTON (SSN-694) LOS ANGELES class attack sub. So what? Every enlisted and officer had to train and be qualified. You don't pass, you get kicked out of sub service.

To sum up every news segment ever:

One thing about DSP that always bugged me is his narrative that not using direct capture was ok when he started. It wasn’t. I was in my early 20s in 2008 and I remember how unacceptable it was to point a camera at your TV and upload the footage to RUclips. That was something you did when you were just some nobody throwing up a Let’s Play for 20 views. People who were trying to make their RUclips channel “a thing” were using direct capture. That was the standard in 2008 and it’s why most people didn’t. You pretty much had to be a Chris Chan to think filming your TV with a camcorder and throwing it on the internet was acceptable. And it’s why his early true fans were either dents, autistic, or young children with low standards.
DSP only did it because he was lazy, was too cheap to buy direct capture hardware, and too lazy to figure out how to use it. And then he made excuses to justify his laziness (because narcissism). By the time he finally broke down and started using direct capture, he was already 5 years late. He wouldn’t have fallen off so hard if he had adopted direct capture in 2008. It’s also one reason why I’m skeptical of his story about Channel Awesome trying to recruit him. Everybody on Channel Awesome was using direct capture in 2009. If they were interested in recruiting him, they would’ve forced him to switch to it.
The whole Project 7 thing is so disgusting to me. Phil destroyed the only real friendships he ever had and can’t take a lick of responsibility for any of it. Shows who is is as a person deep down.

The only reason I like Assassins Creed games are for the recreation of ancient cities and the display of daily life within them. I’m a history nerd, and to give credit to the AC devs, they really do their research on these cities and what the people would have been doing at that time, so it’s really interesting to see. The discovery tours are cool. But as a games, they’re kinda boring and just feel like a grind.

Yeah, hardcore pass on that trash. I know it’s easy to dismiss Phil’s opinion cause he’s a giant A-Hole, but there are people who aren’t giant A-Holes that absolutely don’t like what Ubisoft did.
I don't play assassin's creed since the original PS3 one, so I really don't care what they do, but talking about Japan like it is a singular person and not a country with millions of people with their own thoughts is a very pig headed DSP-esque way to talk

@@Ashkihyena i checked the trailer out to see your point, it has 33k dislikes. Yes that encompasses all of Japan's population, even if you don't count western disgruntled AC fans trying to dislike bomb the trailer, oh yes hat proves your point so much. Again, i'm not defending the game, i'm not saying Japanese people love it, i'm just saying your way of gauging an entire country's interest in something is awfully similar to how Dave goes on Twitter and think he knows everyone's opinion on something because he read some tweets with a lot of likes or dislikes
