Wondering about headaches caused by a small hole in the heart?

Late to the party, but this interest me because. They put up these 4 phases like that's just how it works and if you have Aura it's an hour or less before migraine. I experience two different kinds of migraines. One that seems to come on more rapidly. For example if it was very overcast for days and then the sun came out super bright I might get one. The other was like how they describe "prodrome" EXCEPT this included Aura. I woulud feel most of those "prodrome" symptoms, but if you went outside greens like grass and leaves would look like they were glowing. I hate when that happens because a few days later the headache hits and it's much worse than the other version of migraine I would have. So from my perspective the description of Aura isn't how I experienced it, as it was a multi day thing. I've had various cardiac related findings for no apparent reason. Meaning they aren't really explained and no family history. Aortic root aneurysm, atrial septal aneurysm and there was a note of on a recent CTA of contrast material moving across the atrial septum so I have to get that look at. Currently wearing a cardiac event monitor due to some symptoms etc

My Cardiologist has never asked me about Auras, that I've had since my mid 30's! Ocpital migraines started 7 years ago and still have Auras occasionally.

Thank you, this is helpful. My daughter is 26 and suffering from migraines and we must figure out why or at least to slow them down. Are there other symptoms of PFO's or is an ultrasound the only way to know?
