Your 103mm throttle bodies are almost too beautiful to hide love the blue katech blade. Bought one myself was shipped in an hour! Great shop great vids!

Best video yet. Still would have liked to see at least one pull on the dyno and even a couple street passes on power so we could hear what the car sounded like under load.
sswhaat Right? My c5z is not loud during revs, but under a load it's really loud.

I’m happy with my Z06 just would like to get a cat back exhaust. I would get a cold air intake but I would not pass SMOG inspection here in CA because no will do it with a cold air intake installed....something about needing a code to input into the system.

Nice clean build.why was the baseline so low? I have o weeds 4 C7 Z06s. Currently a 2018 and all have been on a dyno. The low rwhp was 551 and the high was 577 all bone stock. The weather plays a roll but 502 seems really low?

Was there anything done to improve the engine cooling?
Was the car raced 1/4 after the upgrades? any clue what kind of times to expect with those power levels?
I have a C7 z06 m7 z07. So far AFE intake, Corsa Npp exhaust, tune and DSC controller. I can't find much for your stage 4 car at idle, but it doesn't sound crazy? Some of these custom camshafts have too much "chop chop" for me but this sounds more stock-ish?
How much more power would you make with E85? My mechanic trying to talk me into flex fuel, saying we can get another hundred horsepower. Partly due because we're stuck with crappy 91 octane in California.

How much for that package? Why is there no insulation covering the catalytic converter by the oil cooler to reduce heat soak?
Scott, please email me at jason@katechengines.com with the year of your Z06 and which transmission you have and we'll send pricing. I assume you're asking about the OEM catalytic converter. GM does not put a heat shield on that.
I know it sounds dumb, but what do you guys do with all the leftover stock parts??
Usually the customer takes them when they pick up the car. If not, they become property of Katech and we either scrap or sell on eBay.
With the extent of this build in that you've removed the front suspension, do you have realign?

I have the exact same car & spec stock. On the website it's says 30k for stage 4? Is that accurate for 180 more horses?

The Katech Staged Packages have been refined since this video was posted a few years ago. Our CURRENT Stage 4 Package is rated at 950hp (300hp over stock), while the package in this video now tracks closer to our Stage 3 Package - rated at 850hp. Curious, most people report a baseline dyno of 585 to 595 rwhp. I know it's the ~180 hp difference that counts here, but what's up with your baseline of 502 hp?
Remember that next time you see somebody claiming 750+rwhp from an automatic with similar modifications. It just goes to show how conservative our dyno is. Typically we're seeing around 540rwhp baseline with manuals and low 500s with automatics. This one was probably worse than most because there is only 600 miles on the odometer. Think about it when people claim 585-595rwhp. The engine is certified at 650hp SAE on the engine dyno. Do we really believe there is only 55hp drivetrain loss?
Can you shed some light on why Mikes car had no significant gains after all the stuff was fitted to his AUTO, curious and I am not putting any bad your way I saw all the parts andy fitted and the work was very impressive.
That’s hard to say without looking at the calibration. Also I’m not sure if the car was baselined. Maybe the expectations were just too high for an automatic.
John Meiers I asked the same question I have owned 4 C7 Z06s all with A8 auto. None near the 502 rwhp mark? My average was more like 550rwhp

@@sxsmarine4075 Or maybe not everyone wants exactly the same thing so pricing will vary a little. The base price is listed on their site so it's not like they are trying to keep anything a secret.
So the car rolled in with the stock exhaust rolled out with long tube headers and loud cat back . You pull the whole car apart change pulleys for boost change cam and if I had to guess 20 K plus ? Now you lost your warranty . What would the power be with headers exhaust pulley change air intake dyno tune 100hp ? And if you just have to kill it add a button. Perk, pull it off and send it back to the dealer.
Your plan wouldn't work either. Because as soon as you tune it your warranty is gone. Even if you flash it back to a stock tune GM can still tell the ECU has been modified. You can read more about it below.

I keep wondering why pretty much all the shops hide their pricing....if it's a certain package with the set and designed parts/processes to be done, why is there never a PRIVE TAG?! Its not variable....if it's some kind of special, customer requested build, then price could be variable depending on customer.

No, that is correct. That gives you an idea of how low our dyno reads. The car is an automatic.
I still can't believe this car uses leaf springs...

You guys are badass but your missing dyno runs , street rides with inside Camaras. Dyno charts before and after. You guys are missing to much to be this good of a shop.

502WHp on a stock C7 Z06 A8?! Are you serious? Drivetrain loss for a A8 i between 16-18% at maximum. Show me the dynosheet before and after. And just with only ported heads, blower, snout, 103mm throttle body, cam, headers, CAI it get over 680WHp. An improvement over 180WHp. Show me dynosheets before and after, if Katech don't post dynosheet here in comments i considering this just a classic marketing strategi used by Katech. If Katech can't show me reliable dynosheet that it only hade 502Whp stock and relaiblie dynosheet with over 680WHp after these mods its time for a new lawsuit against GM, if not this is only a classic market strategy from Katech to sell their products. But if 502 Whp is correct the only conclusion is that GM is a crappy company that lies about power numbers over and over again and get away with it and we byers are all idiots that is swallow that crap over and over again. Need i say that i own a 2017 M7 C7 Z06, i love its looks but its performance not so good.
