I had a neighbor with a 1962 Mini Cooper that we used to take joyriding. It had 37hp... at the crank. I never floored it but, man, I was tempted once or twice. ;-)
37hp?! That's insane! Why would you even need that much power on the street? You're lucky you never floored it. Unless you like having your skin ripped off and deposited in the back seat.
Fun fact: The original Mini Cooper prototype's 948cc engine was said to be too powerful, making the car much faster than expected so it was reduced to 848cc in order to slow it down for production models.

I own a Z06 and produces a little over 700hp. My car is crazy fast and sometimes I have difficulty controlling it. This beast has 1200hp and I saw how you were struggling to keep the car from slipping away. Its good to have a lot of horse power, but it is also very dangerous for the inexperienced. great video. Thanks.
It's not the horse power that's dangerous.
It's the person that doesn't now when to let off the gas paddle.

Beautifully built car! On a side note, the transmission has a seriously slow response time to when the paddles are clicked. You guys do amazing work and I'd love for your shop to work on my two cars.
I saw a huge horsepower problem. You forgot to put the Brodix "Dragonslayer"sticker in the engine compartment somewhere. That sticker is always worth 100HP. Great build. I also like how the guy doing the test driving has real world experience. The weak link in high horsepower builds for the street is always the Trans. He mentions this a few times. The owner will be rebuilding that trans every year or so if he drives it hard at all. Fantastic car build. I give you a big thumbs up!
Again, great build. I think you do what you are supposed to be doing it. You build it for the customer to street/strip it and dIf they would send update videos for you all to post, that would great. You test with what you have, which is the proper way unless otherwise discussed with the customer. I would be proud and patient to have your team work/break it in, then consult me on suspension, wheel and tire set-up. Keep up the great work.

Incredible build, but that trans?!! The delay in shifts is really slow. Regardless, it's a beast and money will always buy a better trans. 😅
Heard a guy named Chuck Cow and remove the shift delays in the A8.
its because it uses a normal auto trans no DCT just a torque converter n a normal auto
@@FusionImortal I'm well aware of that, but it still shifts extremely slow. It doesn't make any difference because it won't last long with that power anyway.

We made even more power later on after the first dyno session. Some adjustments were made to the fuel system and we got the car past 1,200 hp. We don't stretch the truth when it comes to that.

Nice build but that's one slow shifting transmission.......it took almost 2 seconds after the paddle was pressed for the transmission to shift.

That’s my car, take care of it.....the guy that brought it in... umm well... he is there to pay the bill. He likes to say “it’s his”, I let him do that because it helps with his self esteem. Yes it’s ok for him to drive it when it’s all done, he is a really great guy. I let him drive it all the time, because “he drives it like it’s his” and takes really good care of it.
That’s it. I’m selling my house, wife, kids and buying a vette! These videos get me excited and I don’t even own one........yet. 😉

I have a built motor c7 m7, many say c7’s are slow when it comes to another car w same hp. I really think the issue is the builder and tuner because LMR prove this theory wrong always... they know this car like the back of their hand. Wish I had mine built by them

1200 hp was fast 10 years ago. Now its a basic bolt on package for any new car with a good motor.

I wish streetspeed would do something like this. He is a good enough driver and y’all know y’all’s shit when y’all build and tune cars, so it will drive nearly like a stock C7 and be fast as hell and very reliable.
When your talking about this much power on street tires it's not always about ability. At some point you get to a point where the back end just wants to Go Crazy. But hey, I love seeing Mike's trips to Mexico and that has to be the highest mileage Vette in the world now😂🤣😂.

Why does it shift so slow after pressing the paddle? Fuck, I hate that. I wish it was responsive even at cruising speeds just like every other sports car.

HI, i HAVE a stupid question. I am not familiar with PROCHARGERS, my question is did the stock supercharger get removed ,or is the Procharger along with it so there are 2 means of forced induction for more boost. Thanks......Really enjoy your videos, glad in a way that i am 2500 miles from you guys or i might be a real good customer. 2019 ZR1,2018 ZL1 AND Waiting for my 2020 C8. Thanks again
We remove the stock supercharger and replace it with a hi-ram intake manifold. So it is just running with the Procharger as a form of boost.
