She could’ve told the truth and gone to community college. I used to be a top student too. You learn from the failures you know? She did an evil thing for no reason.

I remember hearing about this years ago when it happened. I think at her age her "helicopter" parents expected way too much from her but that's NO excuse to do what she planned out with her bf. If she would have just moved out with her bf she could have started a new life. Eventually, her parents would come to their senses missing her and want her to be happy. Instead, she had her mothers life taken, never to see her again, and her father came close to it and her life gone spending the rest of her life housed with other women. Having to deal with 100s of women with pms, never being able to have a free min to herself. Never to be able to take a bubble bath. Have a cookout, get her nails done, her hair done. Day in and day out, having to smell the bodily functions of women she doesn't know.
Thank God im not in prison. I'd never make it a week, lol

And this is exactly what I try to explain to friends/family that are mad or upset because I’m that little moment you don’t really think of all the consequences but ALSO people don’t think of just how much they are never going to be able to do EVER again or until the law decides to let you out. It’s a very depressing and humbling feeling having to be told when and where you can and can’t do things especially when you’ve had your own house, car, etc. JUST TAKE A SECOND AND REALLY THINK !!!!! Is it worth it ??? Just walk away ….

murder is never the solution. with helicopter parents you cannot "just move out with her bf and start a new life" her parents would not "eventually come to their senses". her parents would not just peacefully accept this. never. the only way out is to send them a letter setting boundaries and explaining the consequences, putting a restraining order on them, cutting all contact and staying in close contact with their local pd. jennifer didn't want to go this route. she chose murder. i've seen how crazy parents can get if the person they tried to control gets a backbone.

@@cynthiadelgado3688 Really?? That’s a bit pathetic on their part! _Although_ , it actually does kind of make sense being the formats are different - this show covers a crime in a short amount of time & therefore, are hyper focused on the facts & most pertinent info in any given case. Whereas, Netflix documentaries are, of course, longer & usually are not focused solely on the crime itself & with this, some of the details concerning the crime, end up overlooked.

Whoever would believe the LIE she told about hiring someone to kill her would believe anything! If you wanted someone to kill you, you would definitely make it so you get killed and no one else gets hurt and that still wouldn't explain how her Father heard her talking to the guys that tried to kill her mom and dad, if she wanted to die, she would have been screaming at the killers to ......shoot me not them!! Sad that Jennifer didn't just leave when her father told her to if she was going to continue dating this guy. Also sad that they thought being Tiger parents was the right way to bring up their children, what a mess all the way around. In the second story what was this guy's reason for shooting this mother, that was insane. Lastly, the guy who carjacked with the babies in the backseat, he must still have some kind of soul that he took the children out and left them, so relieved the parents got them back unharmed.

What's that got to do with this? Oh you don't think you're gay son wouldn't kill you? You think that because you've accepted him and oh he'll never have a girlfriend to stealing him away from you? Sorry hate to tell you this but some of those gay lovers can be more dangerous than any straight lever would ever be I know I watched some pretty serious stuff go down in my day Don't you watch any of this crime stuff? I worry all the time for my sister who has been put in the hospital 25 times by her supposed love of her life people her lesbian wife cost her the custody of her dead sister's baby which she would have been able to raise and have had a child which she was so excited about. Cost her the love of her mother whom she had to put into a nursing home because oh I don't want some old person here. So my mother ended up in a nursing home for 2 years unloved unvisited because oh none of us were supposed to know where she was because we would have tried to have gotten custody away from our sister and she couldn't have that. We didn't find out where she was until the day she decided not to have her dialysis pick reinstalled. She was the light of her mother's eyes so our mother didn't realize that she had lied to her and told her that us kids didn't want to see her wasn't true She just didn't want us taking her out of the nursing home into one of our homes because in our state they make you all go together and help the sibling that's taking care of the parent with the cost. She could have had our mom We would have helped her We would have paid her it was her relationship that wouldn't do it. So don't ever think just because your child is gay They can't turn their back on you and harm you. As a nurse I watched a man just stand there and pray his mother would die when she had cancer because that way he would be free and she did love him and supported his gay prideness and everything but he flat out said I can't wait till she's dead because that way I don't have her burden around my neck anymore. Good luck to you but never ever think a child can't turn on you.
