      Love that! My co-worker didnt show up or call a few weeks ago. VERY unlike her. We were all freaked out because I called her home snd cell and got no answer. My Director called HR to perform a wellness check. They were giving it a half an hour before they sent someone to her home. She called finally and had Covid and couldn’t get out of bed to reach her phone.

    It'd be safe to say everyone should do a background check before letting a stranger into your home, for whatever reason. A sherrif friend of mine did a background check on a guy I had started dating yrs ago and discovered his violent past. He'd twice been convicted in family court for domestic violence and abuse and was going by a fake name. He went to church every sunday and claimed to love jesus.

    • @junglekutz5625
      @junglekutz5625 8 дней назад +1

      Well I'm sure that claiming to love Jesus is something that alot of folk do. The reality of *knowing someone and who they are at the core starts with you. As there are couples (husband and wife) that have known and lived with each other for decades.....that will do unforgivable things. No-one should need outside assistance when it comes to being privy to a person's true character. In the same light that you can take iniative to have an interest/sexual interest in them. Taking the time to peg their character is also your responsibility.

    A good reason not to allow unvetted, unlicensed, unbonded independent contractors into your house. Also, everyone needs a surveillance system, and situational awareness. People need to provide themselves with a means of home defense and a strategy to deal with burglars and all other types of home invaders should they gain access to your space.

    • @bbe3034
      @bbe3034 14 дней назад +1

      Yes! I just ordered 3 cameras that doesn’t require a monthly subscription from Amazon . All you need is a micro sd card. It has an app for your phone and can watch what’s going on outside your home, even when you aren’t home. We own 8 acres and when I left home last week, there was a strange woman on our property acting very suspicious. I drove by her and she looked like she was acting nefariously. Stay safe!

    • @user-bo6rd8vv6e
      @user-bo6rd8vv6e 14 дней назад

      @@bbe3034 Assuming your property is posted, the authorities could simply trespass her the first time and arrest her if it continues. The SD card for recording is OK if the camera is out of reach, but the cloud storage is usually cheap for camera apps and it's unaffected by tampering with the camera. Probably installation of a more robust setup with monitoring, door and window sensors, both indoor and outdoor hi-res night vision cameras with motion detection would give you peace of mind. If you're out in the country, the sound of target shooting [with a proper home range setup], along with an unpredictable schedule and lights on timer would seem beneficial.

    In the Marty Hill case, she doesn't remember much because the brain has a protection mechanism that blanks out your memory under very severe stress.
    It doesn't work similarly all the time for all people, but it's there for that purpose nonetheless.
    Marty can be thankful that she doesn't remember much because it does help her live on with less emotional turmoil and nightmares. Can't really say the same for the family who have to bear with the burden of remembering that horrific event. I really felt this case.

    She sounds wonderful, and her personality is amazing. GOD saved her. She has a forgiving heart, after being batter and left to die. This story really touched me 🥲

    Come on 28 years? Had he been a black man, he would have gotten a life sentence. Especially with his history of violence. Ridiculous

    28 years? really, it is a joke, no justice, must been a life time or death penalty, I do not understand the justice system?

    Tight buggers, $5000 ain't going to even put a dent on his medical bill's, don't they all either have to buy insurance or pay the full medical bill or something like that
    I presume his wife will probably be left in a lot of debt when he eventually passes ( hopefully he'll get a few more good years ) due to medical bill's, won't she
    I don't live over there so only have a rough idea how it all works, but I think a show as big as this could've coughed up a bit more for such a hero officer

    There was no discussion of their previous work interactions. I find that strange. Was he a disgruntled hired worker or was his work sub par or great? No mention.
