You should go to Starbucks and get your normal starbucks drink, but then also make this one at home. And then have him blindfold you and see if you can guess which one was made by starbucks versus you and see if there is any difference between the two drinks!

I’ve tried to make my own Starbucks drinks before and they’ve turned out pretty well, but I always find myself going back to Starbucks cuz I just like the action of going out to get coffee

Brenna K Lyons same, my ex kinda shamed me on it. But I’m honestly still trying to figure out my coffee taste and ingredient (coffee and creamer) ratio. One thing I like to do is add ice cream and cinnamon and one time we had caramel gelato (ice cream) and omg..... it literally tasted like a caramel macchiato. I think I was 14? when I made it or so? But till this day, I haven’t been able to top that beautiful creation, best coffee ever*** I definitely want to try this out, though. I hope you all are well and best wishes! 🌻♥️✨

it would probably be cheaper to buy coffee grounds. make the coffee and put in the fridge to get cold and do it that way. thats what i do. coffee grounds are like 10$ and the bag lasts a long time. its cheaper than buyer the iced coffee already made.

what do you use to brew the coffee ground?? and how much tablespoons with water??
i use a french press! i usually put in about 3 or 4 scoops of coffee and fill it up almost to the top. there are ratios you can look @ online I've been doing it for so long i just eye ball it so i dont know exact measurements.
Jill aaaa okay, I definitely want to purchase a french press and make it from home. is there a certain roast you use? I recently bought a dark roast starbucks brand from costco :/ and thank you sm!!!
french press the coffee is so much better! the flavor is much more rich. and i do not use a certain brand. i do not like starbucks coffee so i dont purchase their coffee beans. costco's kirkland brand is pretty good and theres a brand thats sold in a brown paper bag thats organic beans and its really good at costco but I'm not sure if its available everywhere I've only seen it in Texas. i usually just get a medium roast. french press makes the flavor more strong. i usually just try out different kinds of coffee beans honestly its all about your preference and trial and error!

If you buy Starbucks coffee grounds, brew a whole pot of hot coffee (add more coffee than you do for a regular hot coffee, iced coffee is stronger) store that in your fridge in a glass container it is the same as the Starbucks bottle.

I recommend making it yourself too! I do that and it's so good! You might even already have all the ingredients needed already! just water, sugar and vanilla extract :) just search for a "vanilla simple syrup" recipe (personal opinion that the ones that use both brown and reg white sugar are better)

To make iced coffee, mix your coffee with vanilla, sweetener, etc. in separate container. Once mixed, pour into glass full of ice. Then add ice as needed. Whether the coffee mixture is hot, room temp or cold, this is the proper way to make iced coffee. I’m like you, I prefer cold coffee and I always order a frappe!

I’m so glad I found this video!! I’ve been ordering a “venti iced coffee with vanilla sweetener and half and half” almost every day for probably 3 months now. I decided I wanted to try to make it at home to save time and money because the drive thru is always slow when I’m going to work. I’ve been combing through reddit threads and different blog posts and just end up confusing myself and getting conflicting answers but this video just answered all of my questions and it’s exactly my drink!! I used to work for Starbucks. You can buy their syrups! If I am remembering correctly it is $12.95 USD.
Add the ice last, for a grade it’s 3 pumps. Pumps of syrup first, then do coffee too the 2nd line and cream to the top line add ice and stir it up. You should be good to go!

that is so weird, i've never seen my barista add the ice last, it's always first or it'll mess up the drink if it's something like a caramel macchiato
sketti skettimen it depends on the drink for measuring purposes for the iced coffee/iced teas the ice is supposed to go last, for the caramel macchiato it’s the syrup milk ice then the espresso shots on top, it can also depend on the barista.
What can I use instead of this Dairy pure half-and-half?
I get the mocha, vanilla and hazlenut sweeteners. It is key to my daily coffee.

I make my "lattes" with nescafe instant coffee powder. I take a spoon and put 1 or 2 scoops in a cup, stir it in with a tiny bit of hot water, enough to dissolve the coffee. Then sweeten it with maple syrup or sugar, etc. Add whole milk and ice. Its really good, and that helped me stay away from starbucks.

Aubri Keller I was thinking that too LOL I was wondering why she doesn’t do espresso and then make iced lattes and then when I realized how much half-and-half she’s putting in it occurred to me that she probably doesn’t want it to be a stronger taste like that that’s why she’s just doing regular coffee not espresso or cold brew or any other types of things

Ez Lefty that’s such a good point, go smoke is so nice and creamy I think a lot of us in the United States completely forget about goats milk as an option. Sprouts sells goats milk and whole foods as well in case if anyone wants to know :-)
Yes! I agree, it’s the best at-home iced coffee method.. But, instead - keep an eye out at Target, they have started selling Starbucks syrups for $12. My go-to is the Classic syrup for my iced coffees!!

Yes! Walmart also sells them. They had vanilla, hazelnut, & caramel syrup. And Bed Bath & Beyond sells the caramel & mocha sauce.
Starbucks uses Torani syrups but puts their name on them. My mom runs a Starbucks

This was an easy-to-follow recipe, thank you:) I just bought a grande iced vanilla w cream coffee this morning and the cost was $4.45. But I like to make them at home also and keep a variety of Torani syrups on hand.
Of course it’s easy to follow, it’s just cream 😂
For that brand of syrups they sell them at SMART'N'FINAL!!!! They have about 20 different flavors and the pumps too!!

YaGurlShay Marshall yeah you definitely need an espresso machine to make the caramel macchiato because the caramel macchiato is not a coffee drink it’s a latte which is beast with espresso it’s the espresso the steamed milk the vanilla sera up and then the foamed milk with the caramel sauce if you doing it hot

Maria Flores yeah in California as well, they are sucking us dry here in LA but to be honest I’m more of a coffee in person anyway and they have gone up as well because I think they’re forced to stay basically on the same level as Starbucks because then they would look like the cheaper brand but I honestly like coffee Bean a lot more for everything the lattes the regular coffee and definitely the ice blended drinks Coffee bean is the way to go if you’re going to get a frappe it’s so rich and creamy where is Starbucks frappe is more like basically a slushy it’s so icy in Grady there’s no creaminess at all

For iced coffee grande size it’s four pumps of liquid syrup of favorite flavor then iced black coffee to the the second line half n half creamer to the third line then top it off with ice to the top we usually mixed it by swirling it without spoon or choice of letting customer swirl/mix there drink! It’s really just a preference!!! Nice job though your drink looked good!!

if you buy Starbucks coffee grinds and a French press, you can make cold brew overnight. Super cheap and great coffee!

I don't even use my French press. I just add 4 oz coffee grounds with 24 oz water and let sit over night then using a coffee filter and sieve I strain out the grounds.
Hi barista here (sorry I’m all over this comments section) we actually use a different type of coffee for our cold brew! Not just the standard coffees! Also make sure you are grinding your beans as coarse as possible! The longer you steep the beans the coarser you want the beans to be so the coffee doesn’t get overly bitter!

I don't like hot coffee either, iced coffee for the win! My problem is that I don't like brewed coffee but espresso, so I just need an espresso machine for my iced lattes LOL. I used to work at Starbucks, this was so fun to watch!! Def try buying the vanilla bottles from Starbucks!! My everyday go to drink is Iced Blonde Vanilla Latte.
Robusto beans are the ones that are used for express. If you use a Keurig get a reusable k cup that you can buy from Walmart or Target fill it to the top put it in the Keurig and use your 8oz button. Coffees like ILLY use robusto.

Girl, my bff works at Starbucks & I legit used to go everyday to get my favorite-an Iced Caramel Latte- and he’d hook me up. Finally one day I decided to ask for the recipe & this fool (I say it kindly, lol) said, “We have everything at home all we need is the caramel syrup”. I was SHOOOKETH!!! Literally! All we needed was the syrup and a pump. Which he could get at work at any time! Lol. Ever since then I’ve been making my own. We have a Cold Brew/ Latte keurig at home and I have the reusable Starbucks cup (like the one you have) & it’s been life changing. I have a Venti Iced Caramel Latte everyday and sometimes 2! Lol.

My coffee shop actually has a contract with starbucks and they use Fontana syrup not tortani. Also drinks are made with 2% unless otherwise specified 🙂 hope this helps someone out there!

Sometimes Kroger has the Starbucks Iced Coffee on sale for $4.49. Not sure what part of Ohio you are in, but hope that helps. I love the Blonde Roast.

@@BrennaLyonsK If you look on RUclips, you will find great recipes to make your own cold brew coffee with a French press. It's amazing. I buy cheap coffee, and I made my own cold press in my French press. I can't believe how good it is. Cheap coffee, I'm talking Walmart coffee.

We add the ice last. If you add the ice first you’re getting wayyyy less drink.
Angie Orozco we add the ice last, we’re trained to do it that way. syrup at the bottom, iced coffee to the second black line and cream to the third black line then ice it
