All time favorite: The Classic Australian - Take a chilled Milkshake glass or Mason Jar mug. Add a large scoop of very soft vanilla ice cream, fill the glass to about 7/8 with your choice of milk (I prefer full-cream cows milk), pour over a chilled triple shot of your favorite coffee (optionally sweetened: raw sugar, brown sugar, caramel sauce etc), top with a good stacked swirl of whipped cream, dust with a couple shakes of chocolate powder, serve with an Italian chocolate wafer stick. My favorite type of coffee is cold brew, year round. Cold brew is just prep and go, then filter and pour when ready. Cheap and more convenient for mom life.
I’m going to try some of these tips 😋 I usually just make iced lattes by add 3 large ice cubes to a tall glass, then I fill 3/4 of the way up with oat, almond or soya milk, then 2 small pumps of vanilla syrup and then I make an “espresso intenso” with my Dolce Gusto coffee pod machine and pour it over. As a former non-drinker of coffee, and just having gotten an espresso machine, here's my wife and I's current favorite drink: 2 shots of espresso from the DeLonghi espresso machine, 2 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tsp honey, cinnamon (all while hot straight out of the machine), then 1 cup almond milk, 1 cup oat milk all over ice. We're not sure if we're doing any of this coffee stuff right but it tastes good!
A bit late to the trend, but my go-to is an espresso pulled to 150 ml. Add ice and milk in a nicely large glass and voila. Brings out a bit of the natural sweetness and flavour notes as well, which can even make cheap coffees taste pretty decent.
Espresso directly onto ice -- preserves flavors better. I tend to make ristretto (30-36g of espresso from 18g of coffee) and it works very well. I add a little bit of unsweetened, condensed milk to offset water from melting ice and the rest just regular milk.
Ahahaha, I’ve lately become the iced coffee brewer for my entire family 😂😂 My easy iced coffee method is to take 1-2 (or 3 if you’ve got an especially long day of work ahead of you) non heaped teaspoons of Nescafé blend 43 instant coffee and add that into a mug with about 1 ish teaspoons of raw sugar (more or less depending on how you like your coffee). Boil some water and add just enough that all of the instant coffee and sugar dissolves and give it a good stir to aid in the cooling of the coffee. Then get yourself a chilled glass you prepared earlier and chuck a few cubes of ice in there, pour in the milk or your choice but leave enough room for your “shot” of coffee. Pour the “shot” of coffee over the top and there you have it, simple and easy iced coffee for those scorching summer days and for those who don’t have all the fancy equipment!!
Went to a random coffee shop and it’s changed my life. So cold brew but with (good) coconut water, or 2 shots espresso on iced coconut water. It should already be sweet but you could also add maple syrup.
I live in Thailand, and my morning coffee routine is typically brewing an iced v60, 24g light roast coffee, 200g of 92ºC water and 100g of ice (1/12.5 ratio) and using fast pouring method similar to Patrick Rholf ( April coffee) by pouring 30g circle pour and 70g center for the first 100g pour in about 10/15sec, and the remain 100g in a center pour, which won’t leave you with a flat bed coffee but i am using a Light roast Cafec filtrer which slow down drastically the water flow, and using this method with a 1/12.5 ration gives me a flavorful cup of refreshing coffee without bitterness. I realized that using a 1/15 ration might gives a bit under extracted coffee, so this ration gives me a very flavorful iced coffee with a medium grind size and a total brew time around 2:30 and 3min

I love fruit juices for my cold coffees: orange/pineapple juice + cold brew (preferably coffee with fruity tones) + ice + honey + garnish with cinnamon stick, rosemary and a slice of caramelized orange. 🤤
You can get glass sliptop bottle jars, and brew a balanced batch at a higher concentration and bottle it. Stays delicious for 3 days and good for a week. Pour over with coffee brewing water for black coffee at light roasts, and immersion brews for more medium/dark roasts. High dose but dont over extract!
I already knew all of this but I still enjoyed the video bc of how straight forward and well explained everything was. I love iced lattes; I generally use a mokka pot to yield my espresso (much cheaper device than a espresso machine) and pour over a full glass of ice with milk and a splash of creamer. Depending on my weight goals, I might use different ratios of water or ice to milk, sweetened condensed milk, creamer, etc.
I've got a Breville Barista Express that I just bought recently out of protest to Starbucks raising prices. I brew a double shot, put it in a glass full of ice, put in some salted caramel syrup, and top it with 18oz or so of Oatley Barista Oat Milk. I'm still learning so I have to get better about choosing the actual coffee, but I'm happy with what I'm drinking. Might try a blonde next instead of dark roast.
Favorite iced coffee. Vietnamese style (because they ve nailed it), with shots of espresso (because I don't have enough vietnamese filter, and mostly I usually don't have all day to make it).
I actually really like maple syrup for cold brew specifically... Maple syrup, milk, cinnamon, cocoa powder, 3shots of 1:5 cold brew.. Tastes like choccy milk, has like 400mg of caffeine.. wakes you right up..
My favorite iced coffee is Wiener Eiskaffee (Vienese Iced Coffee)... in a tall glass, pour enough chilled drip coffee or americano over 2-3 scoops of vanilla ice cream and top with whipped cream. Garnish as desired with sweets.

I think it's time for Freddo Espresso, Freddo Cappuccino, Iced Flat White, and generally iced coffees (all the hot coffees but in iced version) to be introduced to other countries as well. Check out about freddos and thank me later! From another coffee shop owner in Cyprus to another, Cheers man! Also check out Frappé iced coffee made from instant coffee. It's ssssoooo common in Cyprus, Greece and some other Mediterranean countries if not mistaken.
When I think of ice coffee I usually only think of Greek style 'Freddo Cappuccino' or 'Freddo Espresso' made similar to Greek Frappe but using real espresso (chilled) instead of Nescafe and cold frothed milk, then poured in a glass over some fresh ice. IMO it's impossible to beat a great Freddo Cappuccino with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. To be fair it isn't always easy to find coffee shops using great espresso coffee beans (to my liking) in Greece, which is gradually improving, but for sure the Greeks have perfected the ice coffee method. The only thing I don't get is why it hasn't taken off back home in the UK or everywhere else for that matter ... a real tragedy if you ask me : )
Freddo cappuccinos are one of my all time favorite coffee drinks! I drank a concerning number of them in a 5 day time period lol I wish we had them in the States!
I make my own back home and they are almost as good as the ones I had in Greece although nothing can beat the full on Greek experience IMO 😎 All it takes is a normal shot of espresso (I use an old Gaggia Classic machine for this), a cocktail shaker filled with ice and hand blender. You could do the same for the milk, or if could also use a milk frother (e.g Aeroccinoat) at the same time while you're mixing and chilling the espresso. Combine them both in a fresh glass of ice and hey presto you have an easy peasy homemade Freddo Cappuccino 😋
@@vickosis I live in Greece since 7 years and after trying the Freddo Espresso here I don't drink hot coffee anymore. It's just that good to me. I started making it at home a few years ago and it became my year-round coffee.

Because of reflux and insomnia, I gave up coffee. Then I tried cold. I use low acid decaf beans, fresh grind coarse, cold brew overnight. I add vanilla extract and condensed milk. I’m now back in coffee heaven.
here is my favorite, albeit a bit complex, drink. Oh and first, to make a simple syrup if you make it at a 2 parts sugar to 1 part water it will be shelf stable and doesn't need to be refrigerated. My cold respite I use coffee ice cubes + hazelnut milk+ a shot of espresso But i like the taste to be more coffee so i add the hazelnut milk as much as espresso Its refreshing its easy to make And delicious
Great tips there .... however all that means jack (or jill) if it does not sit well with that individual's taste buds. the best upgrade is the one that excites your taste buds the most which can be the simplest of method or complicated af. like for me the best is straight up cold brew rough grind black 1 day. silky smooth with rugged bitter taste.
I am always a sucker for iced coffee, even if I knew that shop has bad blend of ice coffee, when my coffee cravings kicks in, I would still buy from them
I’m overly sensitive to caffeine, so I literally use decaf instant coffee granules, add hot water, stir in some vanilla sugar, put it in the freezer (or fridge overnight if I remember). When I’m ready to drink it, tall glass with three medium sized ice cubes, add the cold coffee, and fill to the top with oat milk. I should really make some coffee ice cubes soon. But I’m just too lazy atm.

I use José’s dark roast from Costco. I add a couple drops of Mexican vanilla, milk and sweet & low. It’s the best!
Prensenter's "just woke up" hairstyle is perfect for the topic.
Favorite iced coffee.
Vietnamese style (because they ve nailed it), with shots of espresso (because I don't have enough vietnamese filter, and mostly I usually don't have all day to make it).
I highly recommend the hario mizudashi. Potentially the best 20 dollars I've ever spent.
I just like my iced coffee black. I don't discriminate between different brands and price ranges. I just love strong coffee and adding ice to it since I live in a tropical country.
Who hurt you 🥺
elegant, concise,informative intro to the art🙌. 🙌. 🙌
thanks for the video. after watching it, i get some idea. will try it out later; hopefully it will turn out good.
going to do some cold brew. chill it in the freezer.
when its time to enjoy the coffee, brew the ice filtered coffee with the frozen cold brew.
Mojito Iced coffee - infuse mint leaves in the simple syrup & add a lime wedge! fantastic summer iced coffee :)
I usually make french press coffee the night before. Put it in the fridge overnight then in the morning do 3/4 coffee and 1/4 milk with ice.
I make my own back home and they are almost as good as the ones I had in Greece although nothing can beat the full on Greek experience IMO 😎
All it takes is a normal shot of espresso (I use an old Gaggia Classic machine for this), a cocktail shaker filled with ice and hand blender.
@@telendar_ I don't blame you, I'd do the same if I were in your shoes ... oh wait, I do that already when in Greece 😎
Mind you the thing that allways baffeled me a little is how Greeks feel cold anywhere when temparature falls below 20ºC but they drink ice coffee all year round. 🤔
Hmmm ... that's way above my scientific capabilities to explain ;)
Enjoy the Freddo Espressos and hopefully I will be sipping one myself before long :)
wow! that was refreshing! thanks for this! I have subscribed, became an instant fan!
Cafe Sua Da aka Vietnamese Iced Coffee is my cold cup of choice
Ca phe*
Jeez man, this is great and tightly packed content. I love it!
Because of reflux and insomnia, I gave up coffee. Then I tried cold. I use low acid decaf beans, fresh grind coarse, cold brew overnight. I add vanilla extract and condensed milk. I’m now back in coffee heaven.
My favorite is an iced white chocolate mocha or an iced salted caramel latte😍
here is my favorite, albeit a bit complex, drink.
Oh and first, to make a simple syrup if you make it at a 2 parts sugar to 1 part water it will be shelf stable and doesn't need to be refrigerated.
Café Con Leche Flip
1oz (30ml) Mr Black Coffee Liquor
1oz (30ml) Black Strap Rum (or any young bottom shelf rum)
.75oz (22.5ml) Simple Syrup
.5oz (15ml) Heavy Cream
1 Egg Yolk
Dry shake hard
Shake with 1 large cube
Strain into glass
Grated Nutmeg Garnish
Great advice mate. Love the spread of choices and man do I miss that Milk.
Moccafe..one part coldbrew nescafe ,one part coldbrew dark chocolate powder mixed with iced sweetened condensed milk or vanilla ice-cream
I can't wait to try my iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk 😋😋😋
My cold respite I use coffee ice cubes + hazelnut milk+ a shot of espresso
But i like the taste to be more coffee so i add the hazelnut milk as much as espresso
Its refreshing its easy to make
And delicious
Great tips there ....
however all that means jack (or jill) if it does not sit well with that individual's taste buds.
the best upgrade is the one that excites your taste buds the most which can be the simplest of method or complicated af.
like for me the best is straight up cold brew rough grind black 1 day. silky smooth with rugged bitter taste.
I make cold brew and put it in the frig. I make a combination of raw honey and water, mix and then refrigerate. Much better than sugar.
I am always a sucker for iced coffee, even if I knew that shop has bad blend of ice coffee, when my coffee cravings kicks in, I would still buy from them
cold brew with "gayo wine " beans from sumatra ,will giving u new taste of coffee with a strong hint of a wine flavour.
thanks fantastic tips and very well explaind,,going to have a go at this.greeting from netherlands
I make my iced latte with oat milk and maple syrup, the combination is delicious!
favorite way to sweeten is brown sugar in the portafilter on top of the espresso (cuban style) and pore half & half on top of the espresso with ice
Milk + Ice cubes + Espresso (or double if it feels necessary) + *maple syrup* = best combo eveeeer
Great thanks to you, i get lot of knowledge, please make more vids like this further..
Thank You for the information! I will do my iced coffee and cold brew after this!! :)
