The scripted bits are good and all, but his off the cuff one-liners during interviews are where he really shines. I was hoping for some of those highlights.

Truth
Andy Richter is the professional sniper of comedy. He stays in the cut but everything he says is comedic gold and he always kills. Conan couldn't have been Conan without Andy.

Oh I know who Ed was. But he was mired well known to just laugh and say “Yes!” When Johnny asked him to chime in, and then Johnny would look at the audience like, “Wtf if wrong with my sidekick?” It was definitely funny, but Andy snipes into those conversation lulls and awkward pauses and gets people laughing again with one line.

Underrated thread
Any soul who hasn't explored the thoughts articulated in "That's me in a corner" has a life less lived, as described in "Sidetracked: A life less lived"
I much preferred his experimental tragedy "Fake Laughter, Real Tears. A Sidekick's Journey" taking from the classic sad-clown story, but done in such a personal and poignant way. *Chef's kiss* that book was a work of pure pain of a man too talented to be a sidekick.
Can’t believe no one has mentioned the absolute revelation that is “Is Murder Legal Yet? Just Curious.”

You can tell that that "I love you" at 7:30 is genuine and from the heart, they told it to each other, not for the audience to see
yeah and unlike most TV co-performers, they actually hang out outside the show together. They talked about it on the podcast how whenever they go somewhere casually or with their families together, it really confuses people because there isn't a camera crew following lol

Lovely to see Conan telling Andy he loves him. We all know how difficult it is for Conan to say things like that but Andy deserves it.
A friendship like theirs is such a blessing. Not everyone can find a pairing like that.

That waffle day sketch was amazing at just how incredibly well it went off the rails. The premise that Andy got the wrong date for Waffle Day leads to the audience unexpectedly throwing waffles back at Andy when he tries to collect them back...which leads to Conan trying to throw waffles into Andy’s basket (and getting more cheers than the monologue!)...devolving into the two of them just throwing waffles at each other! Thanks Andy for all the amazing work!

One of the most hilarious and unforgettable remotes with Andy was that one time when they did voiceovers for an anime. I would love to see Team Coco post that one at some point.
Andy is professionally funny. I've always appreciated his presence on the show, because he always has something funny to say. It's those quick one liners that are the best, when he cuts in and makes a quick statement, it's always hilarious.
It all started with Conan for me... Andy was that hidden Gem that I was not anticipating but Delivered The Goods Night After Night! They truly are the Best TV Talk Show Tandem Ever.

I'm just dying ovah here! Andy just kills. So glad he re-joined Conan years ago. The Wheel of Fortune bit just had me wheezing and snorting with delight! Face it, we've all guessed wrong like that too!
The inappropriate wheel of fortune bit is one of my all time favorites! No matter how many times I've seen it, I laugh so hard that I cry!
During these past 6 or 7 years, Conan has delivered so many laughs and entertainment, I'm glad Andy's been a part of this hilarious journey. 💜
My favorite line of Andy's might be something like "the inside of the mask smells like tears ". He really was the best sidekick and interjected enough to keep things moving or just rip our guts up from laughter

My favorite scripted andy bit was on the employee reviews. When conan went into his office, andy just screamed and conan and the crew go scurrying away as of andy was actually the one running the show. Something so hilarious about that to me.

i remember seeing Andy for the first time in one of Conan's guest talks. The camera pans out and there's someone in the blue suit sitting next to the celebrity and i was like "Hm, that's weird. who is that guy and why is he hiding from the camera?" This was very odd because normally the late night formats have been all along just 1 host and 1 guest only. I thought Andy was the celebrity's manager or something. But then i started seeing him more and more then realized that wasn't case. I even recall googling something along the line of "Who's that guy sitting next to Conan." and learn that he has always been there as Conan's sidekick. That was the moment where I came to really appreciate the difference in Conan's format of having someone being right there with you. I felt the show was very cozy and it branded itself creatively from the other copy-paste format. In short, I love having Andy. Just for him being there with Conan, the show suddenly feels less awkward. It is warm and feels like home because the setup is more like a group of friends chatting and i was part of the crew rather than a formal interview with just a host and a guest.
This completely made my day. Freaking laughed out loud the whole time i love it
