How do you think Andy got the job? They had one dinner or lunch together and conan wanted to hire him on the spot, but the execs wanted Andy to do some more work or something.
@@jkap34 Andy didn't have a body of work or material for them to reference, but Conan wanted him on the show in some regard, just didn't know in what capacity. It's all in his Conan Needs a Friend interview with Richter from 2019.
I want to say on Conan's first episode back on TBS they had the "ex talk show host" masks and Andy says "the inside smells like tears". That, for me, was one of his best lines ever. And that's saying something. Hope to see it in a future video
Mine was when they was going to go to Italy 🇮🇹 I was in school then so I didn’t wana fall asleep but I did even though I tried to stay up as late as I could
My favorite was their first year on “Late Night” and they took a double decker tour bus around Manhattan. Conan pointed out a .99¢ store. Andy said, “Yeah, they kick Dollar Town’s ass”
That was my favourite 😂😂😂 I'm Australian and we have a saying for pretty much everything and yet Porky Piggin' is whole new one for me. Into the vocabulary it goes.
Conan is like a comedy machine gun, always funny, but sometimes misses, but you enjoy it anyways cause he is quick to play it off and make it funny, while Andy is a sniper, not alot and not as much volume, but he never misses
“This is just straight vermouth” is such a sharp line at the end there, the expected joke about it being booze with the bait and switch of it being a booze no sane person would just drink straight all in just 5 words, it’s perfect, no fat on that joke😂
@babygravy7 Andy is 6'3" and conan is 6'4". Fun fact, when shooting just the Hobbits and Gimli, they didn't need doubles because their heights were the right proportions.
The playground conversation reminded me of a Sean Lock joke about watching a playground and a mom asks him, "Which one's yours?" and he answers, "I haven't chosen yet."
i wish i would find an interview i saw once when andy said some nasty joke that i dont recal what was but conan remarked with "another quip from the abyss", been wanting to find that clip for years but have no clue what interview is from
Two life changing things you'll learn, if you watch the whole vid: 1) Andy Richter, is a truly underrated comic. 2) Jennifer Love Hewitt, Bedazzles her cooter.
I'm sitting here at work and slapping my desk while guffawing...(draws unwanted attention) Andy is so quick and when he is on a roll he is hilarious! Best sidekick Ever!!!
"Because it's my GODDAMN JOB!" was so hilariously unexpected. Agree with everyone who called Andy a sniper. He picked his targets and never missed. It would be interesting to see if you put together a video of all his killer one-liners, how long would the video be?
2:00 never realized how tiny Elijah Wood is. I'm halfway between Conan and Andy's heights (and weights) and I'd genuinely have to try not to step on him
Yes. He is around 6 feet tall. People think he is short because he is always next to Conan, who is 6'4". It's the same thing with Penn and Teller. Teller is 5'9", but people think he is very short because he is often seen with Penn Jillette, who is 6'5".
Are they using the same camera tricks that they used in LOTR to make the hobbits look small when Elijah Wood was on the show? He looks so tiny next to them.
Conan's a comedy machine gun, laying down that rapid fire, Andy just comes in like a sharp shooter and never misses.
That is one of the best descriptions I have heard about Conan and Andy's dynamic!
this comment needs a lot more likes!
Back in the old days Andy was good at two things - gunslinging and cocksucking. But now he’s a comedian,
Lol that's perfect way to put it
Except when Norm rips him a new asshole
I love how Conan is the one who always laughs hardest at Andy’s jokes
How do you think Andy got the job? They had one dinner or lunch together and conan wanted to hire him on the spot, but the execs wanted Andy to do some more work or something.
I love Andy because I have the same comedic style... stay quiet and listen most of the time, but pounce on a joke when the timing is just right
@@jkap34 Andy didn't have a body of work or material for them to reference, but Conan wanted him on the show in some regard, just didn't know in what capacity. It's all in his Conan Needs a Friend interview with Richter from 2019.
Andy is so underrated. He’s got one of the sharpest comedic minds out there.
He was on MST3K for a while. I miss TV's Frank!
The wallmart one was good
“I just experienced it just now” 😂😂
chef's kiss
Peak

Why is it saying something?
😂@@QnA22
Well he is his Conan’s friend, he is just ribbing him. Andy works for him, but he can roast him, and it’s like “ ok you got me” I get it.
Mine was when they was going to go to Italy 🇮🇹 I was in school then so I didn’t wana fall asleep but I did even though I tried to stay up as late as I could
These are gems. I really appreciate the effort of putting these together.
va-gazzled gems
@@LastRookie God, I was about to type this!! Haha you sir, win.
"because its my goddamn job" broke me
lmao
My favorite was their first year on “Late Night” and they took a double decker tour bus around Manhattan.
Conan pointed out a .99¢ store.
Andy said, “Yeah, they kick Dollar Town’s ass”
LOL
"I just experienced it just now!"
Legend lol.
“Is that a compliment?”
“Well…yeah, if you choose to take it that way.”
Andy is one of the most underrated comedians ever
"I'm warm and I wanna reek of booze" "That's daddy's squirt gun!" 😂🤣😂
That shit killed me
I love Conan’s laugh in response to Andy’s quips.
Porky pigging it hahahaha damnit Andy you genius
That was my favourite 😂😂😂
I'm Australian and we have a saying for pretty much everything and yet Porky Piggin' is whole new one for me. Into the vocabulary it goes.
It can also be Donald Ducking or Winnie the Pooh. Both are bottomless shirt wearers
Conan low key stole that one with “it’s like a silver mine down there!”
Andy Richter, the number one talk show sidekick ever!
God I miss Conan and Andy. Absolutely the Batman and Robin of late nite comedy television.
i love how you can see the guests brain reset and that gives Conan a moment to bring it back.
12:41 how he said "I have so little..." lmfao, and damn that was fast
There's a video somewhere around where he talked about that moment. He acted like he was actually annoyed by him asking how he knew
Andy is like a comedy sniper
Well put
Conan is like a comedy machine gun, always funny, but sometimes misses, but you enjoy it anyways cause he is quick to play it off and make it funny, while Andy is a sniper, not alot and not as much volume, but he never misses
“This is just straight vermouth” is such a sharp line at the end there, the expected joke about it being booze with the bait and switch of it being a booze no sane person would just drink straight all in just 5 words, it’s perfect, no fat on that joke😂
OK, I guess I'm insane because I'll drink a wine glass of vermouth.
@@richarddoaks3880 you are indeed certifiably psychotic 😂 sorry to be the one to tell ya
His lines aren’t the most cleaver you’ll ever hear, but his timing is perfect. A great example of why timing is so important in comedy
Conan: "There's not a sincere bone in your body." 7:41
Andy: "There's one." 🍆
🤣😂
I vote for 100 more of these
Ed McMahon may have been the first iconic 'side-kick' of a nite-time talk-show host, but Andy perfected the role.
At 12:10, Andy was instantly rewarded for being witty.
Why that's a fine compilation of the Swedish German Andy Richter!
I thought he was American.
@@DeathBeforeComicSans You don't know about swedish-german jokes. They are very popular in Georgia.
@@jimmyjakes1823 I was joking. 😑
@@DeathBeforeComicSansit's a Norm Macdonald reference
googled porky pig picture to be reminded what he look like and had me literally laughing in tears
I've also heard it being referred to as "Donald ducking".
Frodo is really a hobbit 😂
To be fair Conan is a lumbering Irish fomorian
It’s funny because he’s not even THAT short. He’s 5’6 but Andy and Conan are over 6 ft
Possibly an even better response would be "which one are you taking, I'll choose another"
Same. Good Ol Sean Lock
Man Sean was funny
"The product of alot of....."
I don't wanna ruin the joke but that was absolutely effin hilarious.
Timothy Olyphant is nonstop catching Richter strays
I love this, and I love Andy. This is great stuff
Andy's t.v. show was excellent, every episode that ran! Sorry they cancelled it.
How I miss Andy n Conan together ❤️ ..
I just realized Andy is taller than I thought.
6'3" just 1" shorter than Conan, 6 if you count hair.
Frodo is just that small.
Thank you Cactus Chef. These are great.
That's called Porky Pigging it, so quick with masterful deadpan delivery.
The Elijah Wood alcohol spray bit is the best. :)
i wish i would find an interview i saw once when andy said some nasty joke that i dont recal what was but conan remarked with "another quip from the abyss", been wanting to find that clip for years but have no clue what interview is from
I guess one man's Porky Pig is another man's Winnie the Pooh.
andy totally saved that jennifer love interview lmao
Please put more of these on.
Two life changing things you'll learn, if you watch the whole vid:
1) Andy Richter, is a truly underrated comic.
2) Jennifer Love Hewitt, Bedazzles her cooter.
"There's one!" 😂😂😂 Andy is the fucking best
They really need to have him on the Podcast occasionally.
Please. He'd never admit to being conan's friend.
I'm sitting here at work and slapping my desk while guffawing...(draws unwanted attention)
Andy is so quick and when he is on a roll he is hilarious!
Best sidekick Ever!!!
Andy’s one of the most underrated tv personalities
This is exceptionally wholesome once I discovered that Jeff Garlin and Conan shared a pad in Chicago.
A great man at Winthrop University went to theatre parties with a sprayer of Alabama Slammers. Do not doubt squirt guns and booze.
Porky pigging it, too good
Porky piggin' it killed me. Now you know that.
She's trying to describe shirtcocking and Andy just skips to the eternal truth we learned from the cartoons - he's Porky Pigging it.
Andy really is underrated
"Because it's my GODDAMN JOB!" was so hilariously unexpected. Agree with everyone who called Andy a sniper. He picked his targets and never missed. It would be interesting to see if you put together a video of all his killer one-liners, how long would the video be?
He is so brilliant, extremely witty and fun!!!
That’s Daddy’s squirt gun! 🤣🤣🤣
I always felt that Andy missed an opportunity to slip in a line about chipping a tooth on the vagazzle show...
Love that miniature set
2:00 never realized how tiny Elijah Wood is. I'm halfway between Conan and Andy's heights (and weights) and I'd genuinely have to try not to step on him
7:34 the man is so fast! There is ONE!
That last one with the mugs is my favorite "they were fine before" "how do you know that" "because it's my goddamn job!"
Holy hell, the Jennifer Love Hewitt clip!
"That's not what you're supposed to do to the omelette" 😂
Andy truly is the perfect small town humor to Conan’s Ivy League humor
Elijah Woods and the nutty woman with the water guns filled with vodka looked like dwarves compared to Conan and Andy.
I thought it was "Donald Ducking" it.
Wow... never knew Elijah Wood is actually hobbit sized.
Both Conan and Andy are tall, Elijah is on the shorter end.
He does look like a kid between them, thought he was sitting down at first.
Conan not being on air anymore marks the end of an era we'll never get back.
Best sidekick since Hey Now Hank Kingsley
There another one where Kumail Nanjiani read tweets or literature and Andy had a good comeback
Andy is brilliant on the quips!
5:00 don’t know that actors name but he has the best hair I’ve ever seen.
Timothy Olyphant
More please 🙏
2:47 conan nooooo! you have so much to live for!
For the algorithm. More andy please.
THAT WAS AMAZING!!!! MORE MORE MORE PLEASE!!!!
She’s all “no don’t spray me with it, that’s an awful idea.”
I long for an alternative universe where Andy is a free-range co-host in 90's era Stern's shows.
2:16 Andy is also a really tall guy!?
Yes. He is around 6 feet tall. People think he is short because he is always next to Conan, who is 6'4". It's the same thing with Penn and Teller. Teller is 5'9", but people think he is very short because he is often seen with Penn Jillette, who is 6'5".
nah, Elijah Wood is just really short
Andy is the best sniper south of the missisipi
So he's just a methhead with a laser pointer?
I didn't expect to laugh this hard watching this :D
Nothing is funnier than Jeff garland's laugh!
Andy is hilarious. Best talk show sidekick ever.
That Swedish German Andy Richter sure is a funny fella!
Is there anything funnier than Jeff Garland’s laugh? Check out curb panel interviews it’s a hoot
Timothy Olyphant is such a bro. Look at how he talks to both Conan and Andy, and not just Conan. It's like dude was just hanging out with his buddies.
Porky piggin' it had me laughing hysterically!
Who remembers the Andy richter show.
Are they using the same camera tricks that they used in LOTR to make the hobbits look small when Elijah Wood was on the show? He looks so tiny next to them.
Also called "Donald Duck-ing it".
Andy shoots some big cannons, love dis guy
Oh... my lord. I see Elijah Wood next to conan and i think: dear god, is that what i look like?!?
In fairness, Conan is a full one foot taller than Elijah.
Andy is my favorite co host
Nothing will top Andy Richter the Swedish German joke.
Elijah woods is a tiny human being. Holy hell lol
He's 5'5". And he's standing next to giants.
"There's not a sincere bone in your body"
"There's one"
Fucking hell that was sharp as his one bone!
Andy is brilliant. Sure do miss his quick wit.
I love that ur posting these lost golden moments to relieve once again. but my only problem is that you dont do it more often. sorry
"Drink responsibly." [squirt-guns full of booze]

Adam Levine of Maroon 5.
