@@Bibliotecanatalie Your story is not true, most North Africans accepted Islam and have adopted the Arabic language (so have Syria and Iraq, adopted Arabic, before that, they spoke Assyrian and Aramaic after they accepted Islam from el Hejaz) under one religion they all joined the Islamic movement which it was to spread the message of Islam under whatever names like Umayyad, derived from one Ummah, and the eastern Muslims duty was to spread Islam eastward the western Muslims spread the message northward to Iberia as daawah, Tariq bin Ziyad and his army who conquered Iberia were of North African origin some Arab and west sub Saharan African from Mali joined in as well, and contributed greatly in spreading the religion.
Just because Muslims accepted the Imams weather they were from Syria Iraq or Egypt it was just to guide them (as el Khalifa) because it was a basic belief in Islam to do so, it doesn’t mean the imams ruled the people, Islamic law that ruled them all, those times the political views were based on Islam only, but when their interpretations gradually have differed in terms of different Islamic views, the west split from the east, that’s what happened, but because some hypocrite Arabs who are racial intolerant and they relate religion to race they always assign everything to them only like all the accomplishments and things like that, they don’t admit the contributions of the other groups of people. Although I believe the North Africans might be from Arab origin too due to similarities in language root systems but they are Maghreb people or west Arabian or whatever they chose to call themselves.

Wow I've noticed that a lot of words in spanish that are the same as arabic but they add the "a" at the beginning. I have a, at least I think, plausible explanation it goes like this : in Arabic we add the "a" or "al" the the beginning of word just like "the" in english. So chajara = tree, achajara = the tree. So maybe Spanish took the word with the "a".
Also it happens with the "al" like cotton = koton, the cotton = alkoton and in spanish it's algodón.
Another interesting thing I realized concerns the Ud and Uds used in spanish for respect. Ud is pronounced something like Usted/z. Now in arabic Ustaz means Sir or Mr. which is employed to show respect.
I'm from Lebanon and I'm currently learning Spanish and falling in love with the language.
"Usted" means "You" in english. They say that in Spain's southern regions they tend to pronounce the letter "s" in "usted" like an "s" and not like a "z". In the Americas, its usually pronounced like you see it with the "s" sound. Of course, in Argentina and Uruguay they tend to not use the word "usted" at all. Instead they use the word "vos" with the "s" sound at the end.
Most of the words they are saying are either from Italian, latin or ancient greek origins.

It wasn't conquered by Arabs alone but mostly by natives Moroccans who are the amazigh. Tarik ibn ziad was native Moroccan who did not speak arabic, his mountain in spain called Gibraltar mean jabal Tarik in arabic.

Despite being spelled with a c and a z, they say “th”, most of Latin America say it with the z/c. I hear it’s because of the Andalusian dialect which was of course influenced by Arabic.

There is different arabic dialects and the most difficult one is Algerian

I'm not sure, but I think a few of these words have actually a spanish origin, bc it's almost there is almost the same equivalent in other romance languages like for example: bantalon (arab.), pantalones (span.), pantalon (french)

It seems to me that the English language also has words, not as many as Spanish obviously, indirectly/directly from etymological Arabic roots: guitar, sugar and music (this is more likely to be latin?) to mention but a few.

No, actually none of those three come from Arabic. Sugar does *go through* Arabic to finally get into English, but originally "sugar" comes from Sanskrit "sharkara." Both music & guitar originate in Ancient Greek, mousike & kithara respectively and neither go through Arabic. However, even though guitar, sugar, and music are not examples of Arabic words in English, you are right that there are a few Arabic words in English. Some words in English are not truly Arabic, but they do have the definitive article attached. There's only three I know of off hand:
elixir (el is a corruption of al, ixir comes from Ancient Greek)
alchemy (al + chemia from Ancient Greek)
apricot (a is a corruption of al, pricot comes from Latin praecoquum)
Some words are mistakenly attributed to Arabic, such as sugar as you noted. A few others are:

En realidad esta es una lista de palabras similares entre ambos idiomas, no significa que provengan del Árabe, sino más bien muchas veces palabras árabes provienen del español y a su vez estas palabras provienen de otras lenguas.

At 4:20- they got it wrong in spanish, "ojala" means hopefully. What they should have translated to spanish is "Si dios quiere" which is similar to "if god willing" in english.

Well even tho I enjoyed this video it is kinda wrong cuz the fact that Arabic and Spanish lookalike doesn't mean it is because of the Arabic origin . I think they were referring to the pronunciation rather. Like we say in Arabic sukar or asukar. We say aruz meaning rice. Azait meaning oil. Zaituna meaning olive. Some Arabs still say Sabat meaning shoes. The influence is there.

I feel like a lot of these words are not from Arabic origin, as they have cognates in other languages that did not have Arabic influence. (Like pantalones, musica, etc.)

Russian, music is also musica, guitar is also guitara and olives in russian is olivki (оливки) (probably loaned from english). Nose is nos in russian, lamp is lampa. I can go on lol. PS.. In Latin America we do not translate that word, for that kind of pants we say jeans, a word that is not used in Spain. If we wanted to give a more labeled translation it could be "pantalón de mezclilla".
