The dates on cans is not an expiration date. Rotate yes. But don't get rid of older cans.

take a large cardboard box.......measure down to half all the way around the middle of the length........seal the top flaps with glue and add another piece of cardboard in the middle.......on the bottom part of your choosing...pinch the outside corners of the box........then slide the part you decide is the top.......down onto the bottom box.........now you have a lid......decorate if you wish.........on the outside and the inside.....use for storage or an under the bed box........you can stack up with supplies of your choosing or store clothes inside......

You have some great tips. To check for scratches, just put water in the jar with food coloring. The colored water will stick yo deep scratches. But don't throw it out. You can always use it for dry goods.

I will reuse glass tomato sauce jars in a routine: after washing it out I will make milk with powdered milk and store it in the jars. When only a portion is left I will use it to make milk bread in a bread machine ( all milk of 50/50 of milk and water) I will wash it and put bleach water to disinfect small items. Afterwards I will use that bleach water for laundry or cleaning. I will rinse out the jar and use it again. Milk stored in glass taste better than stored in plastic

Canned goods have a Indefinite shelf life, those dates are Not expiration dates per USDA Website. If cans are dented opened compromised, obviously toss em away.

main issue with alot of the things in the video is that it require
    1 - community
2 - living around a forest ect and not a city
issue is community is mostly dead in western societies nowadays and ppl now live in cities with no forests :/

"Community" is easy to find, just join a church.
I live in a big city and am part of a good community. There is an older man at church who is a handyman. He charged me $30 for an installation that would have otherwise cost over $100. I gave him $40.
