Rob, Chris, absolutely love this. Proper recycling by giving this car another lease of life £££s to be made. A lot of people would have just binned this car
I could never have done the work like this, but wish I could have saved my old car. Impressive what can be achieved.
Hopefully the content on the channel makes doing this worthwhile. Otherwise for anyone else these cars are worth very little and this is a lot of work.
I’ve never known to blokes with such such a perfect blend of skills as you two. Life always has its ups and downs, but I hope you two stay happy working together for many many years to come! Best regards from “an old Thanet boy” 😊
@@crabbybastard8762 absolutely-they’re the perfect duo 👍
I love watching these guys - the common sense , the explanations, the artisan skills of Chris, amazing really - the generation coming through have none of this
you need to meet my dad and I!
This has been one of my favourite rebuilds, it's incredible the transformation from the wreck it was, to a lovely car. Great stuff
Very impressive turn around guys, every car deserves a second chance and this is proof.👍🏻
I’m not gonna lie, when I first saw the car I thought no way, that’s gonna be a scrapper! I can’t believe you did it!
Same here.
You've done more complex rebuilds, but none have been as satisfying as this one , brilliant work guys
UNBELIEVABLE. You brought this one back from the dead. It was beyond the ICU and ready for the undertaker. But with some serious surgery and careful attention to detail, it's going again. The best video for a long time. Well done Chris and Rob.
Some would say "it's just a ford focus"
But really glad you saved that car guys, awesome work as ever 👌👌👌
I have to take my hat off to you two guys. You earn every penny you make. Look forward to all your videos and instagram posts. Cheers guys ! All the best.
It's only cleaning swop parts over and some wireing
Professional work by people who love cars!! Bravo!!
Now this is real recycling. Saved it from the crusher 🤙🏻
Dr Frankenstein's Focus. It's alive it's alive!!!!
Brilliant stuff. Best car yet. Definitely worth doing chaps. Keep up the good work.
I love seeing a car that most people wouldn't think twice about saved and you would never no it sat unloved for years
You have done cracking job considering the state it was in well done both of you 👍🏻👏👏
Does Chris ever stop for a cuppa. He was still working cleaning the yard.
All chris has in his mind all day coffe coffe
Video before last Chris had TWO cups mate.....tea break over lol
Fantastic little car now mate !
Chris is like the Duracell bunny - he never stops. What a geezer.
What a transformation guys. Its brilliant. You would never know it's the same car. I love the way you 2 work together, not much said but you both know what to do. Love these type of videos. Take care both of you.
Good on you guys, this is awesome. So glad to see you save this unloved little car. We're way too quick to just throw things away these days, but with a bit of patience and effort you can fix things and make them close to new again. Amazing work.
You've made such a transformation to the focus well done guy's.
Chris should get a small street sweeper to tidy up the yard, he's got everything else.
Salvage rebuilds. " the defibrillator of the car world ". Brings 'em back from the dead.
Glad to see you guys saved this car, this is a car I would’ve wanted to save. So many parts around and it wasn’t rusted out which makes it worth saving.
Top job fellas
Thanks for working so hard and getting more videos out Rob and chris. We know a huge amount of hours goes into editing so thanks.
Love this build, what a state to start in.
You`ve Done it again guys ☺️ this is true recycling and sustainability! Well done and looking forward to the next one. Cheers //Daniel
Every cloud as a silver lining so they say and this cloud was pure gold. Love the longer videos and this Ford was well worth bringing back to life. Great content. Looking forward as usual to the next one.
I really love this shape of focus. Even ordinary models like this one are brilliant to drive.
I just got my first Ford in years.. The 2004 Focus Zetea 1.6 Automatic is surprisingly very quick,, my Car was only 550 Euros, with 113.000 miles on the clock,, just changed the Oil & Waterpump & Belt, now iv put on another 6 thousend miles and shes going like new,, I have to say the designe of the Mk1 is a future classic . great sound from the Engine with the old school Escort heritage ..
@@crabbybastard8762 I agree with you on that but up till now I have had no problems lol
Makes my heart leap to see stuff like this. Forget them TV car rescue series. This is real. Well done chaps!
Amazing I think that this is one of this most interesting projects that you guys have done. Can’t wait to see it completed.
Nice save! Literally brought back from the edge. Done a couple of interior replacements, so I know it's BETTER than factory!
Love it 😀
Once again. Amazing.
From knowing your electrics. Being able to dismantle to reassemble, soldering and everything else you guys did. Your skill is another level. BUT. I feel how humble and genuine you and Chris are, when the video ends with Chris sweeping up.... Another great lesson
Thank you... Much love and respect....
Good job again guy's well worth doing. No brainer 19, 000 miles 🙈 well done Rob and Chris 💪💪💪
Yes you definitely saved this one! Love your attention to detail - nothing left to chance. That's an amazing transformation you guys have achieved. With the work you have put in and the low mileage the car has done it should have years of life left in it now.
WOW Rob n Chris do it again most people would have scraped it but now someone will have a fantastic car for years. This is why I love your channel, you two are magician's you deserve all your success 😃
Smashing job chaps! Gotta admit that looked like a hell of a challenge starting out!
You be done a cracking job with this one. Never would have thought it to see it at the start. That'll be a great family car for the new owner. Well done guys!
Rob and Chris, what a metamorphose got this Ford again. What a beauty. It gives me a great feeling you guys put so much efforts in this car to get it on the road again. Thank you so much for this video again. A true example of 2 honest nice guys.
Wow that’s come up a treat ,what a lovely car now and with that mileage ,going to be a cracking car for someone ,you guys defo saved it 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The most interesting project in ages, cant believe you tackled it but an amazing result well done rob n Chris.
I've loved watching this cars rebirth, well done the two of you
Absolutely brilliant job Rob and Chris, the Focus looks amazing! 👏🏻👏🏻
Absolutely amazing how you have turned this car around. Your attention to detail is just brilliant. Congratulations guys and thanks for the vid.
You 2 deserve every penny of profit from this one Rob. Really great job and cracking long vid. Cheers.
This has been one of my favourite projects of yours, what a brilliant job.
Agreed! 👍
Yeah for some strange reason I'm riveted to this build!
Yep me to
Nice to see people fixing cars up properly and spending the time and putting in the effort. Just shows there are some honest people out there. Keep up the great work. Please find another Boxster and send it my way 😄👍
Another great video guys. So satisfying to see a forgotten car brought back to life. Well done you two.
The caterpillar is a Cinnabar caterpillar, that turns into a striking black and red moth. Wow Chris really got stuck in and seem to relish the challenge.
I thought Rob was about to go on a wildlife rant like Bill from Curious Cars.
good spot! nature lovers fast forward to 21:59. And what a great project. Chapeau, chaps!
I was curious to know what the caterpillar was you saved me the trouble of looking it up, thanks.👍
Good metaphor for the car, it's changed from a caterpillar to something more beautiful.
I really didn't want that video to end. What an awesome job guys! 👏🏼
Wow guys! Now that’s why we love your channel so much. Great content Rob. You defo saved that car. Now it’s good as new! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Well done!
BRAVO! This it exactly what it is all about! Saving a car from the scrapyard with a lot of elbow grease and a big heart! Be it a Rolls Royce or "just" a Ford Focus. Hugely enjoyed this "saved from the grave" or "bring back to live" videos! Give us more of these, thank you!
I’m flabbergasted how well you’ve done with that Focus! It’s come out so well and the amount of effort and attention to detail was incredible. Bloody well done lads, great to watch you at work on this or whatever else you take on for that matter.
Amazing! Fantastic to see the transformation from start to (nearly) finish. Great work gents.
I have loved seeing a car properly cared for .you guys are special in this field of profession. good onya..
Amazing turn around on this one Rob & Chris, this car has been saved and what a great job you have done. Brilliant!
Definitely made the right move repairing the car with the mileage.Thats gonna merit making the car look like new and I reckon theres a nicemarkup coming once you sell it.
Guys this is the most satisfying series of vids so far. You definately need to do more like this, the before and afters are epic with this one!
Brave! And well done at that! She's looking stunning, can't wait for the finished article!
Well impressed! You’ve upgraded it with a nicer zetec interior, steering wheel and boot spoiler. Big improvement on the Style base spec.
Style isn't base I don't think 👍
Studio is base
@@sammytheseal2307 ahh ok. Either way, it’s a lesser spec than the zetec.
I love to see things being fixed up, parts recycled and that is going make a great car for someone. Excellent work.
What a difference from when you first got it. It now looks so good. You've worked your magic again lads, well done :)
This is one of the best projects and video you have done. Cant wait for Part 3. Reminded me of doing a full interior swap i did on a Vauxhall Chevette back in the 80s when I'd just started driving.
U 2 can turn ur skill to anything
AMAZING JOB LADS!!!!!!!
A very thorough job even on something like this really shows how professional yourself and Chris are . A pretty long video but fantastic viewing 👍
I know its a Ford Focus but I found it really emotional watching you repair it and bring it back to its glory. Can't wait for it to be on the road Motd and sell it. Welldone guys
Loved working on these back in the day, used to repair ones that got damaged on the transporters. Amazing how many was in for bodywork jobs before being sold by dealerships.
Lovely motor though and in the best colour panther black ☺️
Knocked it out the park on this one. Really satisfying to see something rescued from the brink like this
When I first saw it I had no doubt the the lads would turn it around top work once again and the reality is if your ready to graft most of the time there's a pound note to be made how many times have Rob and Chris proven this over the years 🙌🔥👊👏
Rob and Chris enjoyed your video on this Ford Focus. What a transformation absolutely brilliant. Well done.
"Oh caterpillar"....love it 🤣
That will be a nice tidy car for someone. Get them mobile in a safe comfortable car. Ultimate recycling.
Cam belt for sure needs doing. Looks so good though! Will make a great motor
Unreal work guys ! Well done first class work ! You earned every penny you will make on that , this is hard tedious work ! Thanks for sharing your expertise. I just put the interior back into my 1981 Capri 2.8 injection I got various pieces of upholstery replaced with material I got over 15 years ago.I got it retrimmed by guys in Kilkenny here in Ireland and my interior is like new now.I waited that length of time as there was nobody I could find to meet my standards I wanted. I did strip my dashboard too and replaced all the instrument cluster lights with LED's which look fabulous, looking forward to the next video , cheers, Eoin.
Wow! Wow! Wow!!! What an amazing job you guys did. Well done. Can't wait for the next Rescue!!
Incredible, can’t believe it was dumped after only 19,000 miles!
I could watch them all day , there aren’t enough 3 times a week for me to view, would like more.
Couldn't agree more so mad
Possibly it was stolen and dumped?
@@christopherdean1326 If you watched the video you wouldn't have said that, they gave a full explanation...
@@christopherdean1326 We'll probably never know why someone sawed the boot in half and used it as a toilet for 8 years
Fantastic content Rob & Chris, Love how nothing gets overlooked on your builds. Alot of people in the trade, unfortunately, would have hidden the problems under the carpet and behind the dash. If your gonna do a job then do it properly. 100% not a lemon, loved your response to the negative comment :)
See you soon in the next one!
Incredible transformation! Love it! I picked up an Audi A3 convertible cheap 3 weeks ago! Changed the bumper and wing! And clean the roof after 10years sitting under a tree! The Mrs loves it! Any enough waffle! I’ll see you both in the next one ☝️
Seriously impressive! Hats off to
You guys. It might be a run of the mill focus to some but it was totally worth doing as it was such a low miler and genuine car.
Absolutely great job! Have watched for a while but this is the one that got me subscribed. Would be great to see more like this.
That turned out well then! Amazing - well done!! Enjoyed a bit of waffling on near the end of the video too 🤣
love this kind of projects taking sumtyn from that to what it is now there is just that bit of satisfaction watching it come together good job guys
FANTASTIC guys great to watch, it will be worth every penny you ask for for.
Great job boys enjoy that one😉1st time I have posted been watching a few year now. Well done
Brilliant, what a turn round, well-done lads.
Truly astonished by your shear patience and tenacity in taking on this project! Attention to detail bar non!! You both deserve a medal for your hard work! I’m gob smacked!!!!!
with that attention to detail you guys deserve a profit out of that! A great watch, admirable honesty and every credit to you both.
Really enjoyed this video. Everyday is a school day watching you two guys at work! :)
Well done Chaps…
Somehow knew this was gonna turn out well, great turnaround & very interesting to watch 👍🏻
Very nice work, Rob & Chris. A big hello from Canada. I think you did a fine job in saving this little car and it appears to be well worth it, given the results so far. Please don't worry about the length of your videos. The longer the better as far as I'm concerned. I could sit and watch you guys work for hours. Please keep up the great work and thank you for giving all of us such great content.
Wow...what a transformation, can't wait to see it finished👍
I'm loving the content and saving more cars from the facing the scrap yard ❤️
You've definitely transformed it! I would go as far as saying it looks like a 3 year old car now 😁👍
Looks amazing you’d never know it’s past if you didn’t watch this videos, such amazing skill you guys have to be able to do this, Every weekend me and my mates work on our cars its the best feeling when you look back on it and see how far you’ve come. I spend a lot of my time in the same brakes yard as you do looking for parts ha ha. Keep up the great work love the vids ! 🙂
Looks great gents! , I'm glad people such as you guys are restoring cats like this. 👍👍
A silk purse made out of a sows ear' A great job, Well done guys... :-)
The dashboard - no cutting corners with Chris 😀.
Amazing work you 2 have done saving the little focus. I would like to have seen a few extras popping on it like fog lights and electric windows at the back but for a quick flip really have pulled it out from the scrap man's hands. Hats off to you both.
Rob & Chris, top marks for saving that car. Many would have scrapped it, but you saved it. A great. Focus Style \ Zetec hybrid, great content, worthy Wheeler Dealer style project. Cheers😀😀
Hi guys to say how bad it was you've done a great job cleaning it up 👍
22:00 looks like a Cinnabar Moth caterpillar, good to have about as they will eat up ragwort for you 👍
Fantastic work Rob and Chris. I watch your vids for hours . Truly love the work that you both do. Chris you are like Master Yoda of car repairs 👏. I feel your pain Rob with the hay fever . It totally sucks .
I did exactly the same ironically... an identical black 60 plate Ford Focus Zetec-S 1.6 TDCi that's belonged to our family for 8 years got written off by a careless woman in a brand new range rover. We bought it back from the insurance very cheaply and I bought a donor car, black 09 plate focus titanium for £350 with a snapped timing belt. A few days work and I had swapped the doors, bumpers, interior and steering wheel and the car looked absolutely immaculate. I Saved our focus from the scrapyard and I still feel proud.
It's a shame you aren't based in the North, I would have gladly given you the donor car with our previous interior (nothing wrong with it, the donor cars was a bit nicer) and it had a black bootlid with spoiler and trim. I did consider trying to fix the donor car engine but it had 170k miles on it and I had no idea of what damage the engine had in it.
