Honestly Marc , I’ve been following your channel for years , I own several islanders. I think this is up there with some of your very best work , love the format and I think the dimensions on the 39 are perfect , well done sir. I think I’ll go with the black .
I'm in the market for a field watch, and this is exactly what I'm looking for. Although, I would fantasize for a version where the NH36 is without the rotor and with a slim steel caseback so as to get as thin as possible. This is my gripe with automatic field watches: If my life depends on it, I want it as tiny as practical so as to avoid damaging it; If my life depends on it, I shouldn't fail to remember to wind it. THANKS FOR THE VIDEOS AND WATCHES!!!
Fit and finish on the model 187 is amazing. The black has this slight wet gloss about it when in direct light. Purchased it a few weeks ago for my brothers bday today In regards to what Marc said in the beginning of the video in regards to the strap. It’s actually a great strap imo. Doesn’t look or feel cheap at all! And lends itself to the T date’s silhouette very nicely Long Island knocked it out of the park!
I’ve had the blue face now for about 1 week. My dad recommended this watch and he actually talked to Mark on the phone about islander watches about 6 months ago. Your knowledge and craftsmanship is amazing. Very satisfied with this watch and it matches my colors from work. Haha definitely got some compliments already. Thanks again! I would definitely recommend.
The Text up not bottom is better Marc like on the blue dial. Contrast of colour is the key and you do it so well. I love the black TLC what a super coating. White day and date is winner not just for contrast but to be easier to read. Good thinking offering 42/39mm options. Your the king of design for the individual taste.
I really love all of those Mitchell watches. The size and style is perfect to me. I would love to see that 187 (?) dlc version exactly like it is with a dark purple dial. That would really pop! I’d be happy to send you my tie as a color swatch but I’d really like the tie back lol. I’m extra like that, and try to match my watch to whatever outfit I’m wearing out that night lol 🎉
👀 That symmetry! 🤯 Came for the champagne dial, but left really feeling the high-contrast all black; the all look great but that all black is a really attractive package 💯
DLC and the white models look awesome, the text agree with your options in the white and DLC the blue version I’d like it more Blue and the white 39 mm case’s 👌
I have the ISL-42 Field watch and it is Superb. Love it. If I have to nitpick and I mean really nitpick...I would humbly suggest making the main Arabic numerals on the dial just a bit Thicker &/or make the 24 hour numbers, just a touch, smaller. I would love to see a Decorated Rotor in future versions! 🙂
I would buy the blue Day-T with the bracelet already installed. I bought a BRAC bracelet last month for my SKX175 (from your store of course). The tolerance was so tight (seemed like a hair gap). I had a hard time installing it. The spring bar kept slipping. I'm planning to just bring it to a watch guy and have them install it.
I want a Mitchel, but they are all sold out in the 39mm size. It's amazing how It's just a lightweight watch with an automatic movement and A+ specs. Just amazing!❤
I don’t know if Marc has considered this but he probably has. In regards of the white dial variants, what about making the day/date wheels negative ie black with white text to highlight the T shape on the dial. Just a thought.
Big wrist haver and I love offering it in the 42mm. To me though, the space below the 'Day-T' looks pretty empty. It might look good to have a normal sized 6 printed, but the cut off by the window. Keep up the great work Marc!
Miyota 8285 will do the full day at 12.00 and date at 3.00. As seen in the Cadisen day/date "Rolex alike". Cadisen model number C8185. Also the ST16 in Pagani Design PD-1752, another day/date homage.
Did you try a negative Day-T on the white dial? The Day-T stands out on the color dials but not on the white dial. I think the black background with white digits would pop.
Any chance of the 42mm coming in more colorways, with it's own (ideally exhibition) caseback? Since the SNZG is no more, these could easily take the crown for reasonably-priced 42mm field watches, and the "Day-T" is especially nice. The lumed arabics, screw-down crown and sapphire all make this an upgrade to the SNZG, rather than just a successor. Fingers crossed for army-green dial versions in both sizes!
The blue dial model has my full attention! Lovely watches. I’m curious about the name, though. I’ve never seen the name Mitchell spelled with only one L. Is it named for someone or some place?
Got me the black DLC model last year. Wonderful watch and strap. I really am a fan of the Day-T style. Loving the experimenting with date positioning you are doing
I just got the 129; it is my first watch in decades. The strap almost fits my nearly 8 1/2" wrist so, perfect excuse to then get the brac-39. Time will tell if it turns into a gateway drug...
Awesome watch model Marc. I love the day/date at the bottom too. My favorite is the champagne dial and then the black and it would be cool to have that in the 42mm case (I like bigger watches). But they all look good and I would be happy with any of them. Even the white faced ones are cool looking. And perfect choice for the bands and having the exhibition case back is just the icing on the cake. It's cool that you keep the screw down crown too.
If there's ever another run of the 42mm Day-T, I hope it keeps the F-14 caseback. I think it's neat, like a nod to the 60s and 70s avigation watches issued to military pilots.
pretty good but the sweep hand tip might be better with color on it.... and the numerals are a little small & dial be cooler with pattern, you know everybody has an opinion
You mentioned other movements and the full day written out.... but what if you did a full day similar to how Seiko did it with the SNK623? It had a full day and I think it was a 7S26. You could combine that with the date like the Day T.
You were able to trade mark the “Day-T”!! Bravo! 👏🏼😄 Love the symmetry of this configuration and most of all, b/c I like larger watches, glad you added a 42 mm variant with its better legibility. And I do agree about the simplicity of having only your logo (which I like By the way). Thanks for sharing!
Very thoughtfully disigned watches seem to be becoming your trademark. I'm still not a fan of the logo, though I have a trio of yours (and counting) with it on them. Any who, these just look cool. Usually, I would like the dial cleaner but I concur that the text above the T works. Overall, 👍
Excellent watches Marc! They look great. I was going to ask what happened to your Instagram counter. Lol. The clarity on those dials, is incredibly good. Love the day-date design.. Nice to see 42mm available too. 39 is a little bit small for me. 👏👏👏
Awesome design. Love the date format. Agree that removing the name makes the dial less busy. The same for the text above the date. I prefer the under the date text. Cleaner.
I've got the white non-DAY-T "vintage" version of the white one, and it couldn't be better. I'd go so far as to say it's the best watch in Marc's catalog.
I was actually looking at the 42mm T-Date last night and thinking as soon as I have extra cash I wanna pick one up. Only thing I would want on all the T-Dates is the colored seconds hand. That little pop of color really sets off your field watches. I promise you I will be picking up a T-Date though
Honestly Marc , I’ve been following your channel for years , I own several islanders. I think this is up there with some of your very best work , love the format and I think the dimensions on the 39 are perfect , well done sir. I think I’ll go with the black .
Thanks so much
I like the day/date configuration. I think color matching it to the bronze dial would look so sharp.

I just found a replacement for my daily watch. Thank you so much for coming out with a bigger watch for those of us with bigger wrists
Those look fantastic! Great sizes at 39 and 42. The T date window is great and very unique. Love them, hope to get one sometime
Glad you like them!
For 200 bucks?! Extraordinary! What a cool thing to do: design and produce a watch! Good stuff.
I love the dial symmetry the 6o’clock day date gives! Well done Marc!❤️
Thank you, Jeffery

I really like the design of the day date configuration. Decent price too.
Are you planning on restocking the Brookville line? Waiting on the blue dial
These are really exceptional. Will the blue dial model come in a 42 as well?
Very nice! I think the text above the T makes it look more balanced. Thanks Marc. Enjoy your weekend! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Thank you

👀 That symmetry! 🤯
Came for the champagne dial, but left really feeling the high-contrast all black; the all look great but that all black is a really attractive package 💯
I had a Nodus Pilot Sector with this configuration and loved it, great design by them and you!
That golden dial - AWESOME!!!!
DLC and the white models look awesome, the text agree with your options in the white and DLC the blue version I’d like it more Blue and the white 39 mm case’s 👌

the blue dial on the gray stap is a killer combo! These look great, Marc
The blue face is gorgeous on the bracelet 🤩
Ahh, the "Reverse Murph," so to speak. I love my champagne dial Day-T. It looks awesome on a horween strap.
Ooooh I feel the pull with these. Wonderful.

Make the 42 in that beautiful blue dial with the white numerals. I love the Day-T layout.
Great job on symmetry 😊! Has the dates for Wind Up Fair in NYC been set?
Marc your killing it!
the all black one is definitely my fav
Is it possible to have the day date loom as well
Wow, the blue is calling me!
Ahhh dude , the watches you make are so nice!
I don’t know if Marc has considered this but he probably has. In regards of the white dial variants, what about making the day/date wheels negative ie black with white text to highlight the T shape on the dial. Just a thought.

Beautiful lineup. Love the Date-T design. That switch to a bracelet really made the dial pop. Your line just keeps getting better and better.
Thanks Jim
My wife got me the champagne dial 188 for Christmas. And it is a strap monster.
Any chance you'll do a pointer date in the future?
I really like the 42mm. If you get one with the blue dial I will be handing you my money.
Wish I would have known about these before I bought my SNK a few months ago
Did you try a negative Day-T on the white dial? The Day-T stands out on the color dials but not on the white dial. I think the black background with white digits would pop.
Will look for you in SF later this year!

I really like this design. That blue one may get ordered soon.
Thanks Robert.
It would also be cool to see the black dial with a orange/amber color seconds hand with the font matching
The blue dial model has my full attention! Lovely watches. I’m curious about the name, though. I’ve never seen the name Mitchell spelled with only one L. Is it named for someone or some place?

Thank you!
Awesome presentation Marc, beautiful set of watches. I’m totally impressed. This is on my do list.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Marc. Can we please get a Day T in stainless with black dial. Pretty please. 😅 ISL 41 style.
What's that on the shelf? Has he borrowed his Nan's Franklin mint collection, or?
I just got the 129; it is my first watch in decades. The strap almost fits my nearly 8 1/2" wrist so, perfect excuse to then get the brac-39. Time will tell if it turns into a gateway drug...
Excellent!!!
Hi Mark ,
Good video. Keep up the good job.
Very well done. This year I’m getting in the Long Island watch train finally !
Welcome aboard!
Love that goldy 188! What an awesome color
Yeah, it came out great.
Awesome watch model Marc. I love the day/date at the bottom too. My favorite is the champagne dial and then the black and it would be cool to have that in the 42mm case (I like bigger watches). He does make flieger/pilot watches in 42mm with that caseback - he just took a case from one of those and put his "Day-T" field watch "guts" in it
pretty good but the sweep hand tip might be better with color on it.... and the numerals
are a little small & dial be cooler with pattern, you know everybody has an opinion
Awesome watch
It would be cool to see the blue case with a black case
2:40 don't worry about it. This looks 10,000 times better.
You nailed it,
I love the black one! I just hope that it’s in 42 mm.🤔
absolutely love the blue. one day I'll save enough
The blue faced Day T looks great, my pick of the bunch. 👍
Ditto
How about, just '10 bar' above the day of the week for a cleaner look on your next version ? Champagne color is gorgeous
great. more islanders i want.
Finally this model in a 42mm! Are you considering making the 198 in a black dial variant? It would be automatic buy for me.
Let's see how this one does first.
Hi Marc, moving the text up makes the "T" more noticeable. It really stands out with the text up. Any plans for the blue dial in 42mm?
Not yet
Marc are the 39mm fliegers getting restocked soon? I'm mainly looking for the no date black models that have been out of stock since last summer.
We will change the styles of them. Same case, new styles.
Hi, any plans on making something on the lines of Sinn365 ( 38 mm, day date automatic chrono)?
Not currently
Cool stuff. 👍
Thanks!
I'd go for the champagne dial, on a metal bracelet.
I am not a huge fan of blue dials as my favorite color is green but, Marc is really convincing and his creativity with blue dials keeps growing on me.
Thanks!
Hey Marc. Any plans to make a homage of Squale? I didn't find any on google....
When you where typing your comment about Squale before Squale appeared in the video)))
Squale Blue...Please Marc
Thank you
Beautiful work Mark!
Would you ever consider making a more premium line up with La joux perret movements? I think it could sell incredibly well if priced competitively
I'm not about premium at this point.
Another great offering. ✌ Text above the "T" preferred.
Noted!
You mentioned other movements and the full day written out.... but what if you did a full day similar to how Seiko did it with the SNK623? It had a full day and I think it was a 7S26. You could combine that with the date like the Day T.
That straight on the bottom thing. Looks squished to me, personally. Not enough real estate.
@@islandwatch I've never seen one in person. I thought about buying one in the past. Maybe I would think the same thing if I saw it in person.
You were able to trade mark the “Day-T”!! Bravo! 👏🏼😄
Love the symmetry of this configuration and most of all, b/c I like larger watches, glad you added a 42 mm variant with its better legibility.
And I do agree about the simplicity of having only your logo (which I like By the way).
Thanks for sharing!
Good video
Hey Marc, do you have any plans of selling those Island Watch hoodies or shirts?
Yeah, we are working on it.
Really like the day/date configuration - I think better than the Khaki King... Can't wait to see the next gen Rangemaster
Same here!
Excellent, thank you sir.
Thanks for watching.
Hi Mark, if you did the blue in 42 it's mine lol.. Great video 👌
Ok, thanks!
Any chance for a dlc bracelet to match the black dial?
No, sorry.
Love the black one!
Love love the blue!
Ditto
Love the 42mm!
Love day and date! Hard to find with Arabic numerals, so I just ordered 👍🏼
Great, thank you!
Very thoughtfully disigned watches seem to be becoming your trademark. I'm still not a fan of the logo, though I have a trio of yours (and counting) with it on them. Any who, these just look cool. Usually, I would like the dial cleaner but I concur that the text above the T works. Overall, 👍
Fair enough!
Excellent watches Marc! They look great. I was going to ask what happened to your Instagram counter. Lol. The clarity on those dials, is incredibly good. Love the day-date design.. Nice to see 42mm available too. 39 is a little bit small for me. 👏👏👏
Thanks 👍
I love that you trademarked the term T-Date! 🙌👏
I think I first saw this day-date format on a nodus, glad someone else is picking this up.
Yes. We actually came out with them at the same time.
Awesome design. Love the date format. Agree that removing the name makes the dial less busy. The same for the text above the date. I prefer the under the date text. Cleaner.
Thanks!
It is clean. I like the blue especially
Me too
I've got the white non-DAY-T "vintage" version of the white one, and it couldn't be better. I'd go so far as to say it's the best watch in Marc's catalog.
Vintage! Ha!
Very clean design and nice upgrades. I would like drilled lugs to make strap changes easier.
Noted.
Somehow, the jet on the back of the 42 is kinda a deal-breaker. Gorgeous otherwise, though.
The black one, very stealthy. Me want.
Yes it is!
I was actually looking at the 42mm T-Date last night and thinking as soon as I have extra cash I wanna pick one up. Only thing I would want on all the T-Dates is the colored seconds hand. That little pop of color really sets off your field watches. I promise you I will be picking up a T-Date though
Thank you so much!
Yes, a little pop on the second hand would be next level
