You have no idea how hard it is to find a good looking affordable analog day date watch. Truly crazy long search I’ve had and looks like I found the grail! Can’t wait to see more colors
The Day-T is an affordable contender to the Hamilton Khaki King, so very nice! Great watches that keep making it difficult to choose just one Islander watch.
About six months ago, I picked up my first watch with a date at 6 o’clock. I now think it is much cleaner looking than 3 o’clock dates. Well done Marc%!
I love the complication! Any possibility of a fully spelled-out day in a future watch? The red/salmon color dial is also a real looker. Well done, Mark, and kudos for having the guts to do something different.
Those look great Marc. Nice clean designs. I still think you need to do some premium ones swiss movement and automotive pearl paint job dials! A candy red or green pearl would look fantastic on a field watch!
I normally don't like day-date windows, but this is the first I've seen that I actually like. And of course, Marc came up with it. The other ones are, if anything, even better. I love the red, and the black with yellow second hand is a definite wow.
@@islandwatch Tempted by the white but look forward to some color options, but love the look of this watch. Would be a good mixup with my Phoibos diver I always wear!
I have an Oris BC-3 advanced day/date with the same day/date location. Always thought it was the perfect location and it looks great on these new watches!!!
I really like the DAY-T! I've always liked the Hamilton Khaki King, but felt the lug to lug would be too long for my wrist. This has the same kind of functionality, possibly a BETTER orientation, and it's smaller. Would love to see it either with a lumed dial or in black/green with lumed numbers.
I just bought a khaki king the other week. I have a fairly small wrist as well but it just fits so nice. These islanders are a great addition to any collection but there's no replacing that khaki king in my opinion.
Of course! Absolute genius! I think I saw this from someone once before, but it's rare. For the life of me, I can't understand why. Now make the Day-T in full lume dial and you can have my money.
I really like that full lume version, a lot of the time I think full lume watches dont look very good from a watch face perspective but this one looks really nice good job man!
Would like to see one a bit bigger, maybe in the style of ISL-83, but with the DAY-T configuration. Really loving that idea. Not an issue how it changes over.
Very cool watches, the white one with the T date is outstanding love it, on my wish list for St. Valentines Day. Keep safe Marc be well and continued success.
Late on watching this video Mark. That stinks about your Accutron doing that after 10 days🥶 Wow Mark beautiful watches for sure🥰! I love the day date location its very cool👌💯Your killing it with the Islander Watches! All of them are amazing! Love your custom on on your wrist too👊
Love the Accutron! I likely missed it somewhere, but I think in TGV’s video that he mentioned a “ultra power saving mode” (2 years?) when the crown is pulled out. I wonder if the hands return to accurate time when that power saving mode ends
I often think of the casio indiglo when they came out in the late 80’s early 90’s, with the entire face glowing green at night. Was rather cool and futuristic at the time.
You should put out a series with the colors of the various combat arms of the U.S. Army; yellow for cavalry, red for artillery, blue for infantry. The GIs love that kind of stuff.
I think Nodus did something similar with their Sector Pilot variant, but that watch is also far less traditional in styling, so seeing this on a wider variety of watches will be wonderful!
That DAY-T is a great little 6 o'clock design feature on a classic military field watch. I would love to see a version within the Gov upper dimension spec at 38mm (same L-L length) with a rugged sweeping second hand quartz movement and no exhibition back to keep it thin. A guarded or semi recessed crown and a full lume dial with a lume day and date wheel would be just epic! I had a Seestern 62MAS with a lumed date and loved it as it kept the dial lume balanced, something even the Seiko never had. IMO I think that a field watch should be under the $190/£150 price point as for most its a basic beater field watch right and needs to compete with the G-Shocks out there :) Hence I personally would never buy a Hamilton field. The quartz hopefully would make it a bit cheaper to manufacture but I'm no expert in such things. Bottom line though it looks like a cracking watch, bravo! Been enjoying the Rangemaster mechanical btw.
I had to LAUGH OUT LOUD as I am wearing my salmon dialed Nodus Sector pilot- bought first day of release in a big part because of the way they did the day-date. Great addition to the line Mark! BTW that red dial is calling me...
I really like the Day T design. Can't decide if I go with this color or wait for other options to come. Also, the math nerd in me really appreciates the Leibniz/ Newton debate comment.
After years of not being able to wear wristwatches due to job safety issues, I retired and started a watch collection. My first was a Timex Expedition with the DLC case. Fortunately for you, it became unwearable due to the crown popping out too easily which stops the watch. I have been looking for another DLC case watch, and now I can fill that part of my collection with your ISL-83. Ordering one right after I finish this comment. My son will be envious. He has an ISL-40, and loves it, but wishes it had more lume.
I really like the black one with the yellow second hand and the other black one with lumed dial. I am not in the market to buy any watches but those are nice.
For me, this is where Islander Watches are close to their best. On non-homage (I mean, a field watch is a field watch, can you really call it an homage to any one particular model?), quirky colour/design choices, and interesting features. Great price-point, too. 👍👍
I really like the white dial one. The day function is nice! But if I’ll buy one it will be with the F-14 engraving on the back☝🏻😊. Amazing price Marc 👌🏻🤗
The full lume dial really intrigues me, and I have looked at the ISL-83 earlier but it was a bit boring in my eyes. The new version with orange second hand and dark strap looks awesome and is like a new model!
Oh man! Split between the Day-T and the other Field Watches (in the ILS-40 Line), or a SRPG field style Seiko. I am hoping to see the Islander option in blue come back in stock (or a Day-T in blue dial), as I feel you offer a much better value than the Seiko alternative! Any would be my first mechanical watch so hope to buy one from you soon!
HOLY COW! A Class 1 change (form) without rolling your part number? MIL-STD-480 is throwing some shade your way. JK. Seriously very nice new watches. Bravo!

Great!
This is the *best* implementation of day-date I've seen in a while. Well-done, Marc.
Thanks so much
The Day-T is an affordable contender to the Hamilton Khaki King, so very nice! Great watches that keep making it difficult to choose just one Islander watch.
Thanks so much
I have a Champagne dial Khaki King… now I need this to build the set…. And 100m water resistance the lume are so much better than the Hamilton
The Day-T watch is killer! You nailed it 👏 Thanks Marc!
Thank you!

Okay, thank you!
Loom monster!!!!!!!!!! You’re nailing it with the full loom👍🏻
Thank you
100% buying my dad one of those day-ts. The size, design, price everything = perfect.
Love the red dial! The Day-T is sweet! The new touches on the field watches are done well.
Brilliant! The Day-T is the perfect field watch. Loving the strap clothes too.
Thank you
Love the concept of the Day-T models! And the name is just perfect too! Absolutely awesome 👏👏👏👏
Thanks!
Once again very competitive dimensions and features. Very cool.
Thanks so much!

@@islandwatch Just ordered the red one!
The big boys had better start looking over their shoulders, great range of timepieces well done yet again Marc
LOL. That would be something.
Glad to see the quick change straps.
Yeah, they are cool
Broke down and ordered one today. Great watch seller/store. Thanks Mark!
More colors for the Day-T? Could we see the Day-T on other models? Great job :)
Perhaps on that kick ass red dial.
I think we will see more!
@Long Island Watch yes please, more colors and maybe drilled lugs..?

Your field watches are some of my favorites. You don't overload the dial with text and they look so good.
I like the new day/date tech and the full loom dial is amazing
Thank you.

@@FrostBlackbird that thing is overpriced for just 50m, nothing special spec wise
Love the look of the new "T".
Me too, thanks.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner! Day-T is cool, love the red dial, and the tweaks to the full -lume version are excellent. Choices, choices.
I really like that full lume version, a lot of the time I think full lume watches dont look very good from a watch face perspective but this one looks really nice good job man!
Just popping in to say thanks again for your videos.
You nailed it again, and the "Raspberry cake" one is very nice too! you need a faded green model!
Thank you!
Another great video Mark!
I’ve got an ISL-83 on the way, supposed to arrive today but we’ve got this big snowstorm as you know. Can’t wait to see it.
I'm really excited over the Day-T watch but I'm going to hold out for black or dark colour dial. I'm hoping that's in the pipeline
I'm going to have to!
@@islandwatch Def need one w a dark dial! Cool design for that day-date!!!!
I need the day-t in black please!
Those are some great looking watches! Nicely done sir.
Thanks!
Seen the day - date at both the 6 and 12 before. Digging it.
Excellent watch. I really like this day-date configuration! Good watch. Good vid.
Thank you.

Same. My wrist is north of 7 1/2". 39s look like I stole my kid's watch.
Thanks Richard.
Your A Breath of Fresh Air Brother!
Haha, thank you
Nice pieces Mark,. I love the Day-T .
The man, myth and legend! 😉 Love your work. Keep it up! ❤
Very nice! It’s hard to pick a favorite. Well done Marc. Have a great day! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

New color is amazing!
Thank you.
Really nice ! 👍😎
The Day-T is great: small, at 6 and keeps the symmetry. Awesome feature. 👌
...and never seen before.
I just ordered the new ISL-82. I can't wait to get my hands on it!
Very interesting. I don't normally like the way day and date complications look, but that works very well with that dial.
I think so also
I bought a Nodus Sector Pilot, so obviously I dig this day-date config. It's pretty cool that you thought of it independently too!
Kinda odd, heh?
Late on watching this video Mark. That stinks about your Accutron doing that after 10 days🥶 Wow Mark beautiful watches for sure🥰! I love the day date location its very cool👌💯Your killing it with the Islander Watches! All of them are amazing! Love your custom on on your wrist too👊
The Day-T is awesome, Marc! With the screw-down crown, it is surely the ultimate daily.
Love love love the Day-T. Date number looks nice and big! Would love to have one in a black dial
I'm not usually into field watches but these look like great every day watches.
Thanks.
Love the Day-T! Hope to see some other colors and more Lume! Thanks Mark!
More to come!
Gorgeous watches!!!
Nice looking watches.
Like the smiling effect on the Day-T .
Me too!

They do not.
Nice field watches. The red is a good color
The black with the yellow seconds hand is stunning. At has a classic sportscar instrument cluster vibe to it I think.
thanks!
Very Nice, Mark. Well done!
Many thanks.

Me too. LOL
The Oris Artix GT also has the Day and Date at the six o'clock position.
Yours is still a hot looking watch, Marc!
That Day-T design is well executed. Those are definitely going to sell!
I think so too!
Very, very nice watches. One mote watch to add to my ever growing list lol.

Very nice.. love the Model-T 😊👍

Any possibility of having this complication with the cool blue lum like in the ISL-189?
I'm a fan of exhibition case backs. Ever thought about putting the Islander logo on the rotor?
A full lume day-t would be so bad ass this is the watch I have been looking fore
