Another great way to make a really punchy 808 is to put a Transient Processor paired with a Soft Clipper on it and bring the attack up.
That’s only good if you don’t have a kick tho, it’ll clash a lot with a punchy kick if you do that so sometimes I’ll do the opposite of tjat
Can’t fail with a kick and open high hat hit. Ladies love that and the cowbell.
