    I feel sorry for the lady. All she wanted was to share her Filipino recipe. She is getting bashed for choosing to communicate in English. What people don't understand is she reaches a wider audience for example my American husband can make the Filipino egg pie, simply put. I don't understand how some Pinoy can leave nasty comments. Nobody forced you to watch her channel. Click away . .

      with about half a million subscribers, i probably being the most recent...she doesn't give a rats a$$ about what other people think.
      i for one, am thankful she's shared her recipes and goes to the extent of showing how each step is done. i prefer her presentation rather than those sub-three minute videos that just barely touch how to go about following the recipe that pops up on the first few seconds.

      Agree if those Pinoy lives here in the south like Georgia USA.. they cannot understand some of the people like an example of saying how are you?.... they says it this way howdy..... etc that even me I can't understand. Pinoy is like they are perfect.

Sometimes people are just too judgmental with the accent of how we say things but for me, it does not matter of how good you pronounce the words, the most important is you can make things happen.     To all the pronunciation critics:
    Hindi sya maarte magsalita. In fact she pronounced the word “flour” corrrectly - sounds like “ flower”. Flour and flower are HOMOPHONES - pareho ang tunog at bigkas pero magkaiba ang spellings at meanings.💕

      hindi parehas ang tunog o bigkas ng flour at flower. sadyang matigas lang ang dila nya kya d nya mabigkas ng husto. madali lng nman pagbigkas sa flour. wag mo lng lagyan ng leter E. nagiging flower tuloy

      @@geraldlang1613 actually, tama naman pag kaka pronounce nya. She pronounce the flour into flower and there's no problem with that since U.K. people tend to read it also as flower because of their accent.

    I don't see the problem with her English! She probably grew up in the States given her accent. Even IF she does speak Tagalog, so?! There are non-Tagalog speaking viewers watching her channel as seen in the comment section. Say "Thank You" that she's taking the time and effort to share her recipes.

    Thank you so much for this recipe!! Been using it for quite a while now. Every person who tastes this recipe loves it. 😋 I just added a few more ingredients for a creamier texture filling: 3-4 egg yolks and a small can of condensed milk, and adjusted the cup of sugar to 1/2 cup. I personally love the original recipe but my mom wants an eggpie that is as creamy as a leche flan. What I most love about this recipe is the crust, it actually tastes like a cookie. Store bought eggpie’s crust usually go unnotice but this recipe for the crust, you would want to save it for last. 😂

    This is thr best and easiest to follow recipe. I made this pie for the nth time already. Sugar was reduced to half cup and didn't hurt the recipe at all. Thanks.

    English or not, she made a good desset. I love it. I did mine but it is not your recipe some other pinoy video and it is over an hour now and the middle is still jiggly. No idea what happen, can not wait to try it, though. BTW, do not read the negative comments. The lady did a good job presenting her egg pie.

    For all you saying she is pronouncing flour wrong, I don’t know how you pronounce it but from where I am from (California, USA) we also say it like “flower” . I’ve never heard it any other way. Flour- flower the same 🤷🏻‍♀️

    She's a Filipina sa US sya nakatira kaya yung accent nating mga Pinoy pag nagsalita Ng English iba iba , wag masyadong perfectionist , yung mga luto nya yung tinuturo nya dito hindi English wag nega , hindi lang pinoy Ang viewer nya kaya need nya mag English makiki nood na nga lang kayo dami nyo png sinasabi 😑

      so what kung sa US sya nakatira? Ang ibig mo bang sabihin pag tumira ka na dun makakalimutan mo nang mag-tagalog? Atsaka hindi ganyan ang accent ng isang AMERICAN-BORN or IPINANGANAK or LUMAKI sa AMERICA kung yun ang ibig mong sabihin! Sa totoo lang ang sound or style ng pag-i-english niya ay parang isang typical pinoy na trying real hard to sound like an american! Ang maganda dyan bawasan ang arte at mag tagalog na lang.       Overnight mo po ba nilagay sa fridge yung dough? Sakin kasi 1 hour tapos di ko sya ma stretch.

      @@friedCN Mga 1 hour ko lang po nilalagay sa fridge yung dough. Kapag naman nagmamadali ako at di ko mahintay ang 1hr nilalagay ko sa freezer for 30 mins yung dough. Just make sure na iknead mabuti yung dough para wala buo buo na butter.😁

    this is my go to recipe for eggpie. I reduced the sugar to half and it’s perfect for us. I made one for my first try and it was a hit, bitin pa nga hehe. so everytime gawa ng eggpie, i always make two :)

    Hi, I tried your recipe over the weekend and it was delicious! Not too sweet and super creamy. Also, the consistency was just right-it wasn’t “cakey” nor super jiggly (like a leche flan). Thank you so much for sharing!
    **I used a glass pyrex baking dish so instead of 30-40 mins, I baked it for 45 mins at 325F. 🙂

    When a recipe on youtube got my interest, I make a habit of checking the comment sections to see if there are suggestions from other people or even from the author like substitute for other ingredients. And here I am, confused as to why people are discussing about the author's accent lol. Anyway, her English is quite good. Her pronunciation is correct and clear. And yep, flour is read as flower you fools!
    Anyway, thank you author for the instructions, hoping that I will be able to do the recipe correctly.

    I'm currently make this. 20 minutes left, but the filling is still jiggly and it looks as if the top is getting too dark. Is this how it should be? I'm using gas oven, baking with fan on.
    Follow up: I had to cook it an extra 5 minutes after the 40 minute mark. And although the top got darker, it does not taste burnt. Overall, this recipe gets two thumbs up. I'll be using this from now on.

    My egg pie filling came out airy/fluffy. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. How do I make the filling dense like yours? Am I over, or under whisking the eggs? Or did I mess up during the baking process? I have one of those old basic ovens that only has bake or broil as a feature lol

    Hi. I tried your recipe for egg pie. Masarap sya. Hindi kagaya ng ina na matigas ang crust. Hindi ko lang po na-achieve ang golden brown sa top. Any tip po para ma achieve ko yon.

    Kahit margarin lang gamitin pwede kesa sa butter kat khit walang egg york pwede ng makagawa ng crust hindi pa msgastos.. hindi na kailangan i over night sa ref ang nagawang crust..

    Thank you for sharing your recipe. My husband has been craving for egg pies. We went around for a couple of weekends looking for some and ended up empty handed. He asked if I can make one for him and found your channel. I made the crust on Saturday and refrigerated it overnight. Made the rest on Sunday. It was a success, on both texture and taste, even though it was my first time making a pie from scratch. The only difference I made was reduce the amount of sugar to half (being that my husband doesn't like overly sweet food). I thought the crust wasn't fully cooked even if I baked it for 40mins. Do you think I can blind bake the crust in my next try? The recipe is great as it is.
