- Value is a tough game in luxury watchmaking. On the one hand, luxury is supposed to be expensive-buying cheap luxury is almost counter intuitive. People are supposed to know what you have is expensive. But on the other, who doesn’t want more for less? A sense of quality and prestige at a price that’s cheaper than expected? Sign me up. So how about this for size: the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra GMT Worldtimer

I would love to see a reverse of this, Watches that look way cheaper than they are.
Yes, exactly!
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak
Patek Philippe Calatrava. Looks like a very polished fashion watch.
You can starts with pretty much any white gold watch. And almost any Patek.
Just do a list of rm
It's very rare you can say a watch is truly worth nearly £8K but this one might just be worth every penny
I would risk stating the same regarding Oris B.C. Propilot X Calibre 115. And it's quite funny when you think of the most expensive non-limited product of a given manufacturer.
too less said ...
Which makes it even more impressive that you can get fully working super reps of these for under $350USD
says something about Jaeger and Patek being more expensive. these have tradition on their sides. not that Omega is a low brand, but still ... not like these.
no watch is "worth" £8k, it's a fricking watch FFS
The most amazing thing about this watch is not the watch, which is stunning, its that people pay twice as much for a Pepsi or Batman
I’d rather have a Pepsi
@@beerkegaard I'd rather have 2 of these and wear them on each wrist
They will pay more than twice as much for a pepsi or a batman
A new Pepsi is 3-4x the cost and a year’s wait. I have this in addition to a vintage GMT Master matte 16750 that was 2x the cost, and love it in its own special way.
The video that tortured me into finally buying it. It’s every bit as amazing in hand. Those worried about the size, I would say it wears smaller than my SMP300.
This is one of omega's best pieces.. it can make a lot of more expensive watches wake up sweating at night.
This is one of the prettiest watches I've ever seen.
Im the proud owner of this watch - best pice I’ve ever owed, would pick this over any Rolex any day
Ikr?, you can trick people in thinking they cost over 10k and they would believe it
@@hathaway.1166 agreed, it’s very rare that a watch is actually worth almost 9k but this one… worth every penny
@@hathaway.1166 It does cost over 10K in Europe.
How is it so far? I am in the waitlist for a skydweller. Pros for this watch: world time, price is half vs a skydweller, looks legit, has anti magnetic resistance. Cons: +/- 7 seconds vs rolex's +/-5 seconds which makes it less accurate and price does not increase through time.
@@chasem3549 Rolex claims +/- 2 seconds. And It’s a Rolex. And there is no such thing as a wait list. It’s called interest list and there is a chance you will never get it. And the case and rubber looks cheap on this Omega. But you need to learn more about the watches since you didn’t even know the accuracy.
This is a gorgeous watch, but I gotta say value for money the best world timer watch has gotta be the Casio "Royale" AE-1200. If you made a video on that it would absolutely blow my mind lol.
Infinitely more attractive than the Rolex Sky Dweller which looks awful.
This is so quintessentially Omega. Bonkers and retro. I love it.
What an honor to see my watch reviewed here.
J'ai tout de suite pensé à toi Marvin !! 🙏🏻😊
@@vianouche1 Merci! Ces macros sont incroyables😮.
Lucky
@@africancoast Indeed🙏.
Congrats on owning this, I’ve never seen this watch before but good Lord it’s beautiful.
Best world timer out there, regardless of price. Omega really knocked it out of the park with this one.
As always an excellent video with great visuals and clear and articulate narration
The macro-photography and the presentation on this channel are outstanding. Oh yeah; nice watch, too!
My favorite ONE WATCH collection! Omega Aquaterra
Yup, wearing my green AT right now.
Lol
I have the Tokyo 2020 Specialities Aqua Terra and it is striking but damn, the World Timer is next level now that I know all these minute details. Both are worth every penny.
The 9 downvotes are people who were notified by their AD that their watches are now on back order.
It’s just an arse-kicking, awesome timepiece! I have the standard Aqua Terra and it really is perfect from boardroom to beach! This world timer literally has it all! It laughs in the face of the competition! Great review as well of course!
Not the board rooms I attend, you’d be laughed out the room.
@@torqueofthedevil8145 Why?
Well, hello Mr. Fancy Pants!
@@torqueofthedevil8145 so what are they wearing then ?
@@torqueofthedevil8145 Pretty sure I wouldn't be....
"If the front were to ever become boring, there's always the back" *wink wink*
Hilarious!
That's what she said
"If thats your thing, this omega gets HARD to ignore"
Wow! Thank you so much Watchfinder & Co for introducing us to this major technical marvel.
7:30 "A freaking laser!" Well played sir! Great watch. I do like supermodels ;)
That was actually Austin Powers dramatic music, though it was a parody of Bond.
@@JCDofNYC Yes, great catch! Thank you. I got a little of base because of the humor. Still 'quo the dramatic Austin Powers music' does not have the same punch. Cheers!
The camera work is epic in this video. What a watch..!
Great job with the videos!
That is as near to perfection as I think Omega has come; I love the Globemaster, Seamaster and Constellation ranges, not to mention their special edition Speedmaster moon watches; this I think for me trumps the lot. Great video!
As a flatearther I really appreciate the dial face
😂
I know a man who flee the sr-71 blackbird ... do you’re homework and you know the altitude they fly .. brace yourself ... the earth is not flat . Sorry to burst your bubble .

That's the kind of watch that stands out for others and for which you get compliments.
Agree. A kick in the nuts for the boring Submariner wearer.
@@KR-dn7xd Says the guy who doesn't have either.
Wow, Omega bringing it hard with this time piece and with amazing value for money.
Spectacular! Great video too!
Didn’t even know it was in Omega’s catalog. Absolutely concur, a beautiful, great watch for the price. Awesome vid!
Damn you! Didn't know I need this watch before this video!
Another great review on a truly outstanding Watch. Omega continue to up their Game !
Before learning about this watch, I was planning on getting a Rolex GMT. Glad I can save money AND gain something more interesting in this watch.
One of the very best watches Omega has made in the past 20 years.
You made me fall in love with this watch. I'm defo gonna get it some day. Thanks for the awesome video and narration!
OMEGA should hire you as a salesman ;D
For sure, this is an amazing watch!!! Great video as always!
Thanks for including the prices! Do so more often.
I think it's wonderful. Your presentation is also highly informative and elegant.
Absolutely beautiful. Now, let's see if Omega decides to have a bit of fun with this & put out a version depicting the southern hemisphere.
it would have been really nice if you flip the watch and see the southern hemisphere, but I guess that might be asking too much
@@derrickpangilinan and I'd rather see the movement
why not the whole world? might become a very strange 2D projection, but only then I would consider that watch.
I think this is the best looking omega in the line. I absolutely love it
I just realize this whole time I wasn’t subscribe and I’ve seen almost all of your video. Well today is the day I realize my mistake.
Yet another watch I could fall in love with.Another superb review.
ngl, very smart & versatile palette choices by Omega here, as fits a watch wearable across the use case spectrum (dress, daily wear, sport, travel, light water)
Great...I didn't know I wanted one of these until now!
Great review! I’d love to see the standard 38mm Aqua terra on your next review.
Amazing..just picked one up!
Beautiful piece!!
Very good-looking watch indeed!
Pls if u can also review any of Breguet's La Musicale watches
7:40 yep the laser got me
Love this world-timer…. Amazing to see in person!!!
That is a majestic timepiece , it seems to me a bargain for what you get , a watch doesn't have to be handmade to be great art it just has to be well realized and this watch achieves that and more , a beautiful thing .
I had not fully appreciated this particular watch prior to watching your video. Wow. It is now on my shortlist.
Great watch.
Good value in steel.
Serious "flex" in Sedna Gold or the initial Platinum release.
I can't over how beautiful this watch is. Stunning Omega.
A really fantastic watch, always admired them! Definitely still a one day watch for me.
Thanks for another great, and informative, critique of what is definitely an amazing beautiful watch, Watchfinder. Might just be the one to lure me away from my collection of vintage Omegas...
One of my grails. So beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful. Stunning actually.
I have one in the rubber strap. Love it to bits.
That "Impasto"texture that they have done on the representation of Northern hemisphere is just WOW.. totally exquisite 👌 One of the best watches from the brand..
I love the writing on these videos.
... friggin' laser... cues the Dr. Evil motif.
I really love this watch and it has been on my list for a while... But I fear it might be to big. What size is your wrist? It didn't look too big on you. Great video! Thank you!
I've seen this one in person. Such a great watch. I'm not much for a world timer, but I'd buy this one.
I really love everything about this watch!
Stunning watch and review.
This is my current must have watch. Definitely going to get this one
YES! Please do more Omega!
I love the worldtimer! I held my breath for a year, waiting for it to be released.
Have standard Seamaster GMT, and it's great looking watch. But this one is another level.
New grail this is beautiful
Holy shit, I've been hoping so much you'd cover the Omega Aqua Terra World Time someday soon
Same!
loved you laser comment - awesome and unexpected from you ! another amazing video - thank you from Sydney Aus
I've always loved this watch. I'd just wish it was 40mm and 12thick
top class, as any other video of this channel actually
A lot for the money. Thank you for highlighting the details.
If I didn’t already have a JLC world timer, I’d give this serious consideration!
Got this piece a few months ago and absolutely love it! Worth every penny. I bought it with the steel bracelet and then ended up getting the rubber strap. The rubber strap really helps the dial pop even more. Will keep this piece and pass it along to my daughter when she is older. Omega really outdid themselves with this one.
She'll need a hefty wrist to pull it off.
I’m looking at this today at my AD but stainless and I may buy the black alligator leather strap so I can swap
@@chasem3549 Picked up this piece two weeks ago. It’s simply stunning, I like Sky dweller too but this is a worldtimer!
@@chasem3549 the watch is MATA cert (+0 to +5sec) never slow. Compare to Rolex COSC -2 to +4.
Absolutely sensational!
This is just Omega doing what Omega does best. The best quality you can get for sensible money. And you can actually buy them. Now that’s clever
I have yet to see one in any boutique.
@@Mythicregard I’m sure if you ask them, once they are back open, they would get one for you....
@@davidb5720 Good to know.
This beauty in steel on blue rubber now sells for 6.200 pounds, 200 pounds more on a bracelet in Norway (not the cheapest of nations). Probably making this the best bang for buck Omega at the moment when remembering that this thing is a 50,000 pound model at the top-end. I especially like that it is aqua terra at the core, thus accepting being dressed down to casual leather or rubber while being a very pretty thing to behold dressed up as well. While not costing much more than the most basic Speedy or Seamaster.
Nice to see my city of Denver on the watch.
Breitling 1461 4-yr calendar also fits this bill. Less than $10K and packs a chronograph with calculator bezel, (semi) perpetual calendar and moon phase in a 46mm SS case. Tough to beat in terms of complication per $$
Was looking at the Grand Seiko SBGJ201 GMT, Rolex SkyDweller and this Omega.. Looks like I'll go with this first then other 2 later.
Extremely beautiful watch...
Usually I like quartz watchs for this complication, because it is, like you also spoke, to be used ans weared. But this is really really amazing on how Omega could make it so detailed, elegant and wearable at same time. Kudos for them.
bought this watch a year ago with zero hesitation, it's by far one of the best timepieces ive ever seen
Loved this watch since I first saw it.
What kind of camera used ?
Please do a video on the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms bathyscaphe in 38mm with the grey dial!!!
Saw this a year late but wow, this watch is spectacular. Probably the best Omega I've ever set my eyes on.
Love World Timers. Not sure if I prefer this over the Montblanc though.
I love the look of this watch, however, say I was to live in the Caribean, the Cayman Islands for example, how does it handle the DST change if locally the time stays fixed. Would I have to work the difference in my head or because as the centre time says fixed the dial rotates to show the DST of 1 hour? My head is now aching, can someone put me right?
I just picked it up from my AD with a nice discount...amazing watch. Only gripe I have is I need my reading glasses to read the cities :) Great watch! Functional, beautiful and stylish! The rubber strap is very comfy.
2:32 - a real collectors item: a production blooper from Watchfinder!
Perfect timing, I’ll be purchasing one in a few days when it arrives at the ad. This makes me even more excited to see it on the wrist!
Enjoy
Its been 2 months
How is it??
How is it so far? I am in the waitlist for a skydweller. Pros for this watch: world time, price is half vs a skydweller, looks legit, has anti magnetic resistance. Cons: +/- 7 seconds vs rolex's +/-5 seconds which makes it less accurate and price does not increase through time.
I previously had a Ball Engineer Master II Diver Worldtime but ended up selling it on because it was just too big. This seems like a slightly more well-executed version of that kind of vibe (although I did like the tritium tubes on the Ball). The new version of the Ball is like 3mm smaller than the older one so maybe I'll have to give it another try, but I'm saving up for a Grand Seiko SBGE255 or SBGE257 and I think I'll end up liking that more.
This watch is absolutely stunning 😍
Simply stunning! I cannot comprehend how this is cheaper than the Bond Seamaster!
never been much of an omega fan but this one is impressive to me
Beautiful world timer wrist watch.
nice great to see my watch on here
