This comment will sit at the bottom of a long list. So nobody will read it. But just wanted to say that is probably the most impactful WF RUclips video. It has spotlighted a unique company that till this day experiences the positive effects of this video. And it has shown watch enthusiasts a corner of the watchmaking world they weren’t aware of. Truly well done.

The more I get into watches, the more I discover that German watchmaking seems in many cases far more interesting than swiss watchmaking these days. There are many good stories and great smaller swiss brands, but they all seem to get drowned out by the mass popularity of Rolex, Patek, AP, etc. It's almost like German watchmaking is becoming what Swiss watchmaking once was.

They really do anything by hand or old machines. No CNC anywhere. Dirk Dornblüth is a craftsman, not a salesman. He has one machine wich is self made (like many others he uses) and is driven by the windshield wiper motor of an old Trabbi (the little car made in the GDR)! Dirk is allways open for visitors and for customizing the watch.

I love how the heat blued hands are attached with separate steel collets... eye-catching and attractive. I can't think of another watchmaker who does this.

Just a side note: Dornblueth really use hand techniques, their work shop barely has any mechanical equipment. It was his father's operation, restoring clocks and watches and then moved into his Son's Operation.
The son, Dirk Dornblueth fulfilled his dad's dream by helping them/the brand to build their very first wrist watch. The brand was born.

Absolute beautiful. I like the gothic font of a Lange better for the dial, but for $5000, that watch is insane! Finishing looks like it punches with PP and Lange, and the movement is stunning- reminds me of a more colorful L093.1.

Normally when I see these videos, in the close-ups I see the shear marks from where hands are stamped from sheet, or a burr raised where one machined surface meets the next. I often see a blob of paint on the dial where a spray gun spattered or inconsistant application of ink across a word stamped on the face. Chamfers are a major place for inconsistency even at the highest levels and occasionally glue can be seen oozing from a place you'd rather not see it. But this, this has no such niggles. It's as near to flawless as I think any watch I've ever seen has ever been, perhaps nearer.

Talk about an unlikely route to discovering a new brand (or one I didn’t know at least), D. Dornbluth was recommended by Ben Tokkante who was mentioned by one of my regular channels, The Timeless Watch Channel…. serendipity you might say and now one of these as a Regulator in rose gold is on my shopping list!

It draws from three pillars of watchmaking. British watchmaking architecture 3/4 plate, frosting and dial (very Frodsham), Swiss movement base and decoration and German detailing and balance cock finish....Very cool, specially considering the price tag!

I want this one with copper coloured hands and perhaps greyish dial one day. It's just amazing, even the back case is a pleasure to look at. I am not exaggerating, this is more beautiful than breitling and grand seiko. It is like A. Lange and Sohnne but more casual way in still elegant way.

Absolutely stunning, didn't know making watches by hand still exists on earth. I love vintage craftsman work in watches and many other articles no longer exist today. Humanity lost a lot by the disappearing of craftsmen & women in the past few decades. Just love to see them at work one more time.

Another great video, where the viewer seems to get shared a secret. Great watch brand as well. Even though it deserves to be known more, I don’t think it should. Keep it confidential ! We watchfinder viewers are privileged.
