the most reaction we've got against the cold is an "Oh my god" when she had to wear an off-shoulder sweater on a windy balcony in the Canadian winter, not a single complaint nor even a frown. She's a true professional.
Jeez, thanks a lot for trying and showing us tele on tele photos! Other RUclipsrs who have reviewed this lens don't do this and your photos looked gorgeous.
I don't know how the iPhone's portrait mode works, but Ive used the Moment lenses in my Pixel 3XL and the portrait mode and it gives that awesome close shot with shallow depth of field. Can't shoot in RAW that way, but makes for interesting shots.
My heart stopped for a second when you held your phone/camera over the balcony, ahaha. I was so afraid it was gonna drop. Great video though, excellent review! You seem like an epic photographer! I'm totally subscribing and I hope to one day work with you! Excellent work!
Pretty girl. I'm hesitant to buy lenses, having had cheap ones in the past that distorted photos so I never used them. I do want to buy filters though, and may risk a lens or two. Waiting to see how pros use them on the iPhone 11 pro max. Nice vid, you directed the model well and she obviously has either experience or an understanding of how to model.
@Martian Argonaut yes like any other ARM chip in smartphone, nothing special The only special chip for photo is in Pixel phones, which use snapdragon + IPU (Image Processing Unit) only for photo. That's why with only one lens Pixel photos destroys every other brand, even phones with 3/4 lens.
Man, only a slight difference tbh! Just goes to show how good the iPhone camrea is alone! I really wldnt have been able to tell if u had a lense on or not, it would have js been depending if you were close to the subject
Tivarn Tipoki the lens offer better natural blur and the built in tele won’t perform as well in low light situation due to different aperture size and sensor
Giovanni Cheng only if you are using on wide angle built in lens. Otherwise Moment 58mm is unnecessary because you have telephoto built in lens on iPhone. It just gives slight natural bokeh but almost unnoticeable. I have myself 58mm but honestly ... telephoto built in already enough and it’s sharper.
@@Pentax67 But if you bolt on that Moment 58mm lens on the iPhone's native telephoto camera and using any third-party camera app like Moment's own Pro Camera app, you can get that 4x focal length zoom. So what would be a 52mm focal length now becomes 104mm, and that is great.
Great video man! So glad you showed us how it performs with tele on tele - great shots I’m also surprised that you decided to shoot in Burlington to test out a lens rather than typically shooting in Toronto like everyone else haha. You should come back when the music festival is setup this summer ;)
honestly curious question Zubu. Based on the fact that you say you haven't watched it yet what sets this apart from the many other videos on shooting portraits with the Moment 58 and an iPhone that you can find on RUclips?
Yes brother.. I have an iPhone so thinking to buy 58mm lens moment or sirui for extra shallow depth of field but I searched lot of video but :( I couldn't find any quality videos btw thanks 🍻
Henkka my battery went from 89% to 0% in like 20mins. I don’t know what to say. I’ve never seen it do that. When we shot next under the ice tree I only had 3% battery and then it died again
Memeorandum of Understanding yeah I have Apple care but it’s fine when it’s not in the cold. Lasts all day with medium / heavy use. I had the moment app open the whole time with screen brightness on full but I assumed it was the cold that sucked the life out of it
Out of curiosity, not trying to be an arse. If you sold all your cameras and gear and shooting on iphone only, what are you shooting with right now since you hold the iphone in your hand? you have two?:D one for videos one for photos?:D
When he said I sold all my camera gear" and now he only have smartphone to shot it now .. i got the same reaction with the girl.. I mean WHY? HAHAHA but anyway I can't buy DSLR or kit anyway so this Tutorial is so good
Moment lenses work for years, all you need is the right case for your phone. As of now, all of their cases for different phones works with all their lenses
Does anyone know of an iPhone lens that shows that nice background blue this 58 mm does, but for video? I really want one for film making on my iPhone. I don’t want to buy a mirrorless camera for that. Please anyone reply if you know.
jregju's - Games & Music you can use other apps. I just used their app because it’s good. You can’t shoot raw with the normal camera app on iPhone so you have to get a third party app.
More people need to be as cool as that model w/a joyful & carefree attitude
So true.

Literally subscribed cuz you were the only video i found bout portrait using external lens on iphone x , great content keep it up🤟🏽🙌🏽
I don't know how the iPhone's portrait mode works, but Ive used the Moment lenses in my Pixel 3XL and the portrait mode and it gives that awesome close shot with shallow depth of field. Can't shoot in RAW that way, but makes for interesting shots.
I was thinking the same.. there was no shallow depth of field that pixel generates.. even the OG Pixel does better dynamic range and portrait shots
i love this lens !
I usw this with a Samsung S20 Ultra and not a iPhone. But the look is the same & the quality, too.
Love it!!
Nice movie !
I have a big DSLR that sometimes I don’t want to have to carry around. This was a good video to watch! Thanks!
Can you make a video as you have edited the pictures? The pictures look unedited but they have a great look
“If you dislike, give a thumbs down twice”
I have absolutely love that lol😂
Great video!
Keira was such a good sport. Enjoyed the video, your photos were very nice.
Great pics, really shows the strengths of the 58mm.
You used a gorgeous model. Very photogenic. Thanks for the vid. I was wanting more info. on the Moment lens for iphone x
I really like this!!!!! I’ll have to look into getting this lens! I have a iPhone 12 Pro Max!
12 pro max user here too. I would still get the 58mm to slap on the main camera, as it has a larger sensor than the other two cameras.
My heart stopped for a second when you held your phone/camera over the balcony, ahaha. I was so afraid it was gonna drop.
Great video though, excellent review! You seem like an epic photographer! I'm totally subscribing and I hope to one day work with you!

Ok I’m a little bit blown away.
Hey there i love the tones you added to those portrait photos
Can you make a tutorial on that editing portraits :)

Really cool photoshoot! Also lens is really cool
my friends has asked me what camera i use every time i use this lens. best purchase ever.
ChaChaDiaries which phone do you use it on? I have the iphone xr and wondering if it will do a good job on my phone cam
@@bmn6283 Moment lens on iPhone XR can do great job. But because iPhone XR didn't have native telephoto camera, you won't be able to get that 4x zoom.
Thanks for the video. I did not know the Moment lens position could be changed to the iPhone X telephoto lens. I have not seen that before.
Are those pictures UNEDITED??? because they looked great
Nah they looked edited
@Martian Argonaut do you know what a processor is ?
@Martian Argonaut yes like any other ARM chip in smartphone, nothing special

Hassaan Mahmood its an A11 chip actually 😂
I was just thinking about using those lens extensions since I carry my phone everywhere
Don't forget to buy the case, Moment lens only works with it depending on what phone you have.
The photos are after color correction and filter presets, right? It' doesn't look like these are raw photos made just by the camera.
Photographer not so much the gear 👍🇨🇦
Actually it's so much the model… 😏
Great shots and cool demo... well done Dude... I'm using the 12 pro max ... and Kiera... pretty lady... well done !
This was fun to watcch
Wow so ummmm this made me want to get one for sure for my iPhone XS max...Order placed !!!! Who says you need to spend $3k for a camera haha
Stunning photos and model
This is why i love tele lenses more than portrait on mobile
Cause it gives natural blur and bokeh
Hardware > Software, that's for sure.

John Robert Perez well I recently moved to Burlington so that’s why I shot here :)
Zed Pro Media oh awesome! It’ll be cool seeing some local shots then
Awesome video my dude! Looked REALLLLY cold!!!
I can’t wait to use this lens again to get it going again lol

Hello! excellent video. Are you still using the lens now with the iphone 11pro? or do you not consider it necessary?
Enrique Mesta this is what I want to know too!
Balance was on point⚖️
sick video man, my fave part was 7:10 when Fran spoke
Eres un capo!
You should update this video with an iPhone 13 and moment lenses :D
need a video test of this lens
Can we use this lens for talking head RUclips videos?
which application you use to take pictures

I would love to see the XR with this lens and portrait mode
So would I. I currently own the XR and very frustrated with the pictures it takes. I’m now shopping around for a good lense
Cool lens. Isn't there a thing like that for Samsung?
Yeah you could use it for Samsung. It’s just the case that lets the lens mount to it. You can get cases for all different phones
Yeah, she’ll make any shot look good. Sa. Mo. Kin
Wait, you sold all your camera gear? :o
Johan L i wonder why. Just curious. Convenient perhaps. I got xt2 with holy trinity lenses but often i just use my phone instead🤖
@@vincencohan3626 Same, I had the XT2 and the F2 WR primes but now I'm mostly using my phone especially for travelling
Pretty cool shots you hot there with an iPhone wow

Fantastic photos! Great man!
whats the camera app
Are the photos edited?
Which app you are using in this video ?
can i get the link to buy this lens
Good stuff mate
Is this fix with iPhone xr
You’re a great photographer with the right tools like the D500 and Fuji XT cameras. These photos don’t come close to your regular standards.
What apo are you using?
Good shot!
Nice video, what app are you usin to change the shutter,if not app how do i get to the menu setting so that i can do that with my iphone x
Moment app
@@LeeZavitz can i use the lens as selfie 🤳

Pic capture by which app and filter

7:14 a solid pose and angle :)
which app are you using for photo capture and post-editing???
Moment App available on app store 5.99$
Which app are you using for adjusting shutter speed and light exposure?
Which app is that ?
Please review iPhone SE 2020 camera and portrait
What app did you use for the camera, (not the lens) it looks way different than the “camera” app.
Moment app
Lee Zavitz, thank you so much! Love your channel🤍
Awesome video and very impressive IQ
What camera app are you using?
sometimes you just have to use the stock app, to not get lost in setting and miss moments.
You are showing your entire day for reviewing this tiny lense🤨🤨🤨🤨

Is that Sansa from game of thrones?
The only thing I hate about iPhone accessory lenses is that once the new iPhones come out, they are rendered useless.
Mike H. You just have to get a different case. That lens works for basically every phone they make a case for right now.

What are your tips for shutter speed ?
Can you get the same results with the native camera app or do you need the moment app?
Also, do you get the app for free for buying the lenses?
jregju's - Games & Music you can use other apps. I just used their app because it’s good. You can’t shoot raw with the normal camera app on iPhone so you have to get a third party app.
No manual control from the native camera app. Moment app allows to change... pretty much anything, really.
Bro jst do what u do..best of wishes
What photo app is that?
Moment App.
It will be awesome if you will do some photos like in this video but with a male model. :)
Great video!
Are you using app on shooting those pic cuz the part u adjusted the shutter speed
You can use manual controls on the moment app
When someone invites me to thumbs down - I subscribe. Great photos. Hopefully 58 incoming soon. I don’t care if I’m late to the moment party 🎈
Do i need a special phone case for this lens ?
Flavius Trofin yep you need to own a moment case
It needs a flipping screen, lol. Great work, it's the photographer that creates the shoot not the GAS.
This is amazing....
What is the name of this app that you shoot manually?
Its the Moment App
