Absolutely love my Moment anamorphic lens! I take more pictures with that lens then any other camera. Pics look phenomenal on a wide screen monitor or on a new iPad.

You guys are the only RUclipsrs who seem to know what a 2.39 aspect ratio is.
"those cool black bars" isnt my idea of what the aspect ratio is about. Not a single word said about using the full sensor instead of cropping. Not a word said about getting the wide aspect that future displays are made for.
@@wardensisland1478 Yea I agree the black bars have nothing to do with it. But at least they said 2.39:1 and not 2.35 or 2.40, or even worse... 21:9... euugh!
Also what kind of monitors are you talking about that have a 2.39:1 screen?
@@closeben these aspect ratios are generally referred to as ultrawide cinema, and while there are several, 2.39:1 is where they are often rounded up to, whether the exact pixel dimensions match the 21:9 ratio (1024:429) or not. Practically speaking any ultrawide cinema display, despite slight variation of aspect ratio or pixel count, is the deal here, as compared to 16:9. 21:9 is the rounded-down aspect ratio for multiple formats in anamorphic and ultrawide, including but not limited to 21.3:9, DCI (1024:429), 21.5:9 AND 21.6:9. Ultrawide cinema can handle all of them.

I LOVE SHOOTING PANORAMIC STILLS WITH THE ANAMORPHIC LENS!!! It's a Fujifilm TX-series/Hasselblad XPAN killer!
I use SKRWT to correct barrel distortion for stills. And THANK YOU for the late-February update that keeps EXIF info for JPGs!!!
I love the look from my anamorphic 👍 Found myself using it for photography just as much as video... Can’t wait to get back up and shooting with it once the S10 case pre-order arrives 🙂
Cool. Now how about that android app...It would be really cool to use the anamorphic lens you sold me and be able to have the same features to save the footage like the iphone app does. Can't "De-Squeeze" on android boys using the moment app...that again...I paid for.
Jason Busch they really need to update the android app, and make it on-par with the iOS one.

I've got a Pixel 3 and an iPhone 6s, and the iOS app is a billion times better. Even Filmic runs better on iOS. They really should update the app but Android is just a compatibility nightmare.
Sad thing is moment ignores this. Won't even comment or address it. Do they not care? Maybe selling fanny packs was a bigger money maker then supporting existing customers.
I understand your frustration, but for a small developer ensuring compatibility across hundreds of Android models/phones with thousands of strange bugs and phones having vastly different specs is a nightmare. Give Moment some more grace. Or buy an iPhone, just kidding ;)
Anamorphic lenses also uses all of the camera sensor compared to filming native and then sandboxing the black bars.
Basically minimal losses in resolution, if any at all.
Boxing black bars also means faking panorama with ultra wide, and barrel distortion of ultra wide is very different from normal or wide focal length, so aesthetically, those will still look drastically different, for a same FoV.
My friend is sending me a photography kit technically plus a pixel 4 and these lens is included and i am hyped! Pretty hype, i am excited to take some amazing photos.
I just got the S10e and would love to dive into Moment and with that anamorphic lens, create some nice shots for video!

Love the lens and app... BUT what I have read from reviews in regards to Android not up to scratch with Apple! well I might wait out until I see further progress with the Android Moment App. Apart from that its looks great.

I originally got a Wide V2 around december last year as my go-to lens with the anamorphic being a more specialty lens I use for video but I often find myself just shooting with the anamorphic. Maybe it has something to do with me absolutely loving the 2.39 ratio, the blue and occasional gold flares, or the fact that it balances on a gimbal much easier than the wide V2.
Now, to get me some 62mm filters...
