Is there standard starting point for the bolts on the hinge, All the way up or all the way the top or to the bottom? Referring to the bolts that mount the hinge to the fender?

I just got a set for a 69 El Camino. They are beautiful and work much better than expected. CVF makes excellent products and they actually stand behind them. Buy them, you will not regret it.

@@kyoteysamarius3102 It opens higher overall, the front of the hood opens a little higher, but the back of the hood by the cowl is what I noticed raising when you open it giving you more room to get under the hood overall. My mechanic says he will only recommend these to his customers from now on. I am very happy with these hinges. Rock solid.
