and you had such a decent brand going on... and you threw it all away just so you could have done what a community tab could have done.
and no, i'm not trying to be transphobic, i'm viewing this as a long time viewer of this channel whom has seen the higher quality the previous branding, which had pretty much told you what the channel is about.
With the current branding and judging by the recent youtube thumbnails, it can be summed up as this paraphrasing of a comment from that mass effect andromeda character video showing a trans character's dialog.
"What brought you to make this RUclips channel"
"HI IM TRANGENDER THAT WHY"
"Good for you."
Aside from this one video, she never brings up the fact that she's trans in her videos. Nothing in her thumbnails indicates that she's trans. I really don't know what the problem is.
@@jackiexkh the problem is that she didn't have to change the branding (You know... the profile image and youtube banner, plus any intros and endings she might put into any future video, and not even change the name to something else) because her coming out was something that happened after the return in content (Post-Rise of Skywalker video) and since then, her entire channel branding, has been trans flag and self drawn characters, instead of you know, anything like something from Factor 5, or any of the blues or reds from the brand she's named her fucking *channel* after.
Sure you could argue that she hasn't done any Factor 5 related content in years, but that doesnt change the fact that it her older videos show that the old branding was clearly working perfectly fine, and since Factor 5 is defuct any related branding to the company itself is practically free real estate.
And on the subject of her not making it obvious she was trans, she could have made this video patreon exclusive or something like a community post for those who are dedicated to learn more about the inner workings of the person behind the content.
@@LasagaMan More Factor 5 related content is on the way. Especially with the Turrican Anthology Collections coming out. Even then, I've also done an unboxing video for Super Turrican Collection on Super Nintendo and talked about Rogue Squadron in my video on 'Inappropriate Expectations in the Gaming Community' video. Also evidently by new things on the horizon, Factor 5 isn't exactly defunct. They were when I changed my username and branding to Factor 5 Fan, but not so much after.
Also I changed the pfp and banner to create an easy explanation of the difference in appearance, voice, etc so I wouldn't have to spend time in my videos talking about it and thus deviating from the subject. Now that a few months have passed, I'm probably going to change the banner again. But I don't understand how having thumbnails with drawings of myself and the subject of the video is drawing attention to me being trans considering that's basically the norm across this format. From Caddicarus, and other contemporaries all the way back to the Angry Video Game Nerd. They're not showing off that they're white cis guys as much as "It's this person talking about this subject".
My intros and endings haven't been trans related. I seriously don't know where you got that from. The only strictly trans related video I've done is this one. I have another coming up in the immediate future, but even then that's going to be more media-discussion oriented.
The thing is people also want me to do more trans related content and hell, this video didn't do too badly either. However, I intend to balance that, nor do I even want to do it too often.
Ultimately, I'm going to make the videos I want to make, and for the most part I've been making the kinds of videos I would have been making anyway. Aside from this one, none of my other videos to date have been strictly trans related. I've been mostly talking about Pac-Man as not only is a lot of my audience here because of that, but also this has been a surprisingly big year for that series.
With some of the things you're saying I feel you're projecting. I'm not here because I'm trans. I'm here because I wanna talk about video games and media. That has not changed. Also I came out a loooooooong time ago. In fact, it was around the time I changed my username and branding to Factor 5 Fan in part because I was coming out as trans. But because I didn't make it more clear and didn't bring it up so often, I was still perceived as male. The only difference now is I'm transitioning and I'm actually putting effort into my branding for a change.
3:06 Hair does take a frustratingly long time to grow, unfortunately. Although, your HRT at least seems to be progressing quickly, so that's good.

You should really talk more about your transition on here! What's your regimen/method of administration???
You detect correctly, but that's a story for another time.
As far as what I do for my transition, well, I started off on daily estradiol and spironolactone pills. Dosage wise, I started on the low end but we gradually moved it up as I went along. Starting mid February I was put on progesterone capsules, was moved off of the estradiol pills and moved to weekly injections which I perform myself (after training, of course). As someone with a crippling fear of needles, this was quite the adjustment lol. But as far as I can tell, things are currently going well, though we'll have to see after I get the results back from my next blood test. I'm due for one soon.
@@lunamorley Good luck! I also have a crippling fear of needles. I actually passed out after my first blood drive, so I don't think I'd be able to handle injections. Pills are doing the job for the time being at least!
@@Pimpeaux Oh, I passed out during my second blood draw, and almost did during another, plus after my first self-injection training session. We tried intramuscular and it didn't work for me, but SubQ injections have gone a lot smoother. Those I can actually manage to do myself.
