I'm having similar problems and I was told to replace the idle control valve. If you have gotten the problem fixed can you please let me know what you did to fix the problem. Thanks!!
I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee the alarm system won't let my car start it strarted making a clicking noise while I was driving and all the lights inside and outside the car are flashing even without the keys in the ignition til the battery goes dead even trying to jump the car won't work the car still will not start I need help to figure out what to do the car did not come with the key chain box to stop the alarm from doing this

Its your crankshaft position sensor.
